I have to say Gidgett with Victoria Hospice and all the other staff that have assisted use with my moms transition into Mercy House have been amazing. We knew nothing... Gidgett walked us through it all she assisted us every step of the way. All the Victoria Hospice staff have been amazing. The beautiful soul that goes and bathes my mom and endures her temper tantrums handles her with grace and compassion.

Many people hear the word hospice, and thoughts of sadness and grief befall them. But hospice isn t bad, in fact Victoria Hospice puts your mind at ease. Alana is sweet, she s compassionate, she cares, she s devoted to making the difference in care and is always there to answer the questions that might weigh on your heart. In my experience there are many great agents of hospice and Alana is certainly one of them. She came for hot chocolate just the other day and we had a marvelous conversation about quality of care, options available, and then she sat with friends of mine who received her with sparkling reviews. Alana, thank you for everything you do.

Gidgett has been a great volunteer for Warriors Weekend as well as other worthy organizations. She has been so for 18 years which is saying quite a bit. I have sent her referrals as per hospice & they loved the service they received. Highly recommend.

Just the name Hospice, can be scary. But let me tell you, it should be viewed as compassion, resources, and people who truly want to help and bring peace of mind. It doesn t mean final days all the time. It means however long to bring quality, comfort and assistance. Gidgett, Brandy and the team at Victoria Hospice have explained, listened and delivered!! Gigget and Holly came to visit my husband and at the facility and I knew we were in great hands. While we really want to be with them a technicality did not all ow us to BUT they stayed with us and gave wonderful encouragement thru the process. They t asked to me several times and when my husband was transfered came to spend over an hour with our family. Our twin 5 year old granddaughters were having a rough time and Gigget talked to them for a long time about where grandpa was going and how he would live in the their hearts. They have told everyone that he is in heaven but they will see him one day and he lives in their hearts. I will forever be greatful foe these sweet ladies. I would encourage their service to anyone needing hospice care. They are beautiful, sweet, encouraging, thoughtful and their hearts are truly just what is needed. Its not a job to them.

Victoria Hospice and Holly have been an answer to prayer for my parents. Holly came and explained their services and it was exactly what my mom was needing for my dad s long term care at home. It s another huge adjustment for my mom to have dad back at home, but with the help/assistance of Victoria Hospice, we are feeling a lot less stressed.

I have been a hometown Victoria girl for the past 52 years. I have had experiences with Hospice when I lost my grandmother, uncle and recently my aunt. After losing my aunt a couple of months ago, I decided to apply for a position with Victoria Hospice. I had been praying for God to lead me to where I needed to be. While I was interviewing, the Nurse Practitioner had to leave to go see a patient in need. The patient was in need of care that a nurse practitioner normally does not do, but the teamwork and care for the patient was priority. I truly felt in my heart God placed me right where I needed to be. I was offered the job that afternoon and was blessed to become a team member of this loving compassionate crew. I have worked in Senior healthcare for 15 years and will continue to bless families during the most difficult times of their lives. If I can be of assistance to someone unsure of Hospice or in need of Hospice care please give us a call we would be honored to help your family during the most difficult time in your loved ones life.

I have a beautiful Mother in law in the late stages of alzhimers and a loving devoted father-in-law with cancer doing the best he can to care for her. I live out of town and have not been able to come for a couple of months to check on them. When my father-in-law called me in tears I came as fast as I could and found his love was not eating or drinking and in bed . He promised her in the beginning of this that he would never put her in a facility but I thought that that was the thing that we needed to do but I have a very dear friend who has a husband with early onset alz and she called me and said call hospice. I called four places before getting these two ! They came immediately and are getting things started! I cant tell you the joy and relief they gave my father-in-law to be able to keep his sweetheart home with him! There are no words there how much I appreciate these caring ladies!
