Beware of their 3 tostada for $11.99 deal! When you order, make sure to mention I want the 3 for 11.99 deal , then pick your flavors! I just went with bunch of my friends (6 of us) and we ordered 6 tostadas assuming we will do that deal. Anyways it was all supposed to be on 1 check. They charged me separate for each of them and did not honor the deal! I asked Why? Their answer was you did not specify when ordering. I said the server should have asked but the manager on site said no, you should have mentioned. Like seriously? How is a customer supposed to know how to order? When it s mentioned on the menu, it assumes it will be honored! They are very dishonest and cheaters when it comes to billing. So be mindful and double check the bill before paying. We paid $3 extra, but here the issue is not the $3 but it s about dishonesty! I have never seen a place that will not honor a deal if mentioned on the menu. Many places actually reminds you of the deal if you dont know or forget! I have asked to talk to regional manager, hoping they will call but again just warning you all out there!

Very tasty tacos. Generous sizes even when you order on corn tortillas. We are from out of town & I was so hungry I didnt get pictures of the tacos. We loved the chorizo, egg, & cheese breakfast tacos. The brisket taco was excellent. Thoughtful service! So happy we stopped in.

Preface by saying amazing food. Everything Ive had has been spot on--tortas,tacos,migas, plantains and black beans. ....Except the salsa. Its comically bad. So much so I thought I had the weird Cilantro allergy that makes it taste like soap. But nope. Tried it 3 separate times to make sure it wasnt a bad batch or something. But its like a dull burnt tomato water. Everything else is amazing. Please fix the salsa.

Service and atmosphere were good. The manager was paying attention to catch any mistakes and watch everything. The brisket was bland and beef fajita tasted like breakfast sausage. The chicken elote was pretty good and rice/beans were good. Queso was good. I like that the meal comes with chips/salsa. Over all satisfied just not a favorite to keep going back. Its an aquired taste. Thank you to the wait staff for getting everything sorted out with the food mix up. Loved the smiles and friendliness

We love this place. Upon moving back to the area, this was one of our first places to visit. Their food is fresh and the staff pays attention to any allergies or concerns. They make every effort to ensure you have a great experience. The only thing to mention is that they charge per glass for certain drinks (such as sweet/unsweet tea). Highly recommend!

First time eating here and wasnt sure what to expect. There is pretty good seating and its simple. Nothing fancy but clean. The menu is pretty simple as well, which can be a good thing sometimes. Most everything is $15 with options to add food items if youre wanting to eat more than what your choice offers you. Each orders seems to be made fresh when ordered. There doesnt seem to be much that is prepped ahead of time. However, this does not mean youll be waiting for your meals. They come out in a pretty timely manner and its hot and fresh. The meats are not over/under cooked and is not dry. There seems to be good attention to cooking things well and keeping them flavorful. We enjoyed the food and would recommend.

Food was very good. The fresh pico was probably the best I have ever eaten. Dining experience a little weird. Granted I was there between lunch and dinner rush and there was only 1 other customer but waiter had a coat on and was not very professional. Told me he was waiting for the manager to get out of the bathroom because she makes the drinks . Didn t need all that info. Margarita was not exceptional. I left before finishing my food as I was sitting where the late day sun filtered in and I could not see! Might go back. Not sure. Food good atmosphere bad.

Amazing breakfast tacos, out of this world spinach and black bean quesadilla. We get tacos for lunch from there too. Everything is super delicious. That black cherry tarragon drink is sooo good. Vegetarian options: Amazing vegan options, spinach and black bean quesadilla is a must try. Dietary restrictions: Great vegan options (no egg, dairy, meat, fish)

Decided to stop and have lunch today at Taco Ocho with my wife and I m glad we stopped. I had the two taco plate, and selected a Carne Asada and a brisket taco and both were fantastic. The refried black beans and rice were also excellent. The iced tea was good as was the service with a smile. We will return. Highly recommend.

Weve been here several times. The food is always great. The last time we had food from here we ordered pick-up. We placed an order for 3 meals and only received 1. We realized it 30 minutes later, once home, and called the restaurant. They were less than apologetic and I had to suggest they refund the 2 meals they didnt provide. They also kept the tip which I thought was bold considering we had to them order meals and pay delivery from another restaurant. Hopefully the experience was a one off...but they noted they did the same thing to another guy that day so maybe not.

They claim their dishes are made from scratch but they really don t. I ordered Chilaquiles and what they did was throw chips, sauce, sour cream and the rest all together and call it chilaquiles. It was deeply unsatisfying and left the place unhappy. I m not coming back to this restaurant.

Ive been coming to this establishment for about 11 months. I always come on Taco Tuesday to get to go food for my wife and I. Every time I visit this place, the good, service, and attitude of the staff is GREAT!! My food is always Hot and Fresh. And if I have time, I have a quick frozen Margarita while Im waiting on my food. I would definitely advise anyone in the McKinney area to visit this place. Its good stuff!!!

Staff was very welcoming, as we walked in. The restaurant was busy, but, we were waited on immediately. Drinks were very good. Food was outstanding - everything was hot and delicious, large portions, and all arrived at the same time, and quickly. Antoinette, the GM, came by to see how we were doing! Really cool vibe. This is now definitely one of our favorite spots!!

Food was pretty average but our server was awesome ! Well the problem started when there is this one other server named Saisha (I guess that s the name ) who really wanted to be nosy and was pretty much going about to few tables and teaching other customers about restaurant etiquettes . She herself was really rude and came to interfere between my conversation with our server. I also overheard her talking rudely to the customers at nearby table . If you take restaurant etiquettes so seriously , how about you yourself learn to be kind and courteous to your customers . She really spoiled our Saturday brunch . Will never ever go back

First visit! To-Go order. Staff greeted me welcomely at the to-go entrance. The menu was very straight forward. I ordered the pork taco, a smoked chicken taco, and chips and Queso. They put everything into a brown paper bag and put the tacos on top of the chips and Queso cup. Regrettably in the short time it took me to make it outside to my car, the bag was soaked with taco juice and made a mess all over my car seat. When I tried to take the tacos out to find out what was leaking, I discovered a wet and gooey pork taco soaked like it had been dipped in juice before being wrapped. I had to run back inside to grab napkins because they did not put any in the bag and I had quite the mess to clean up. I think it was the manager (tall man) who gave me the napkins and when I told him the soaking wet taco leaked through the bag and made a huge mess in my car he did not seem to care and was unapologetic. If you can get past a very soggy wet flour tortilla and a lot of fat gristle within the meat, the taco flavor is actually quite yummy. The big chunks of fat gristle is a texture killer. The smoked chicken taco was on the other end of the spectrum and was actually quite horrible and desperately needed basic seasoning including salt. The chicken taco was assembled well and not soggy like the pork taco. The queso blanco was however some of the best queso I have ever tasted. I might give it another try but will definitely dine inside next time so that I can send the soggy taco back to the kitchen if it s presented that way again. They really need to taste their creations daily and work on their quality control in order to gain loyal satisfied customers.

Taco Ocho is my guilty pleasure on Friday after work. They have a ton of vegan options and they are all so tasty! If I could only get one thing it would be the ranchero taco! But, I usually order the two taco plate with one ranchero and one rico ocho taco plus it comes with rice and beans. The portions are HUGE so it is enough for two days. I also love the tostadas and my kids love the chips and queso. I do not eat inside that often, but the restaurant is very clean and the staff are super sweet and helpful. Ordering pickup online is very easy and convenient so it s my preference. My food is always ready right on time, warm, and correct. I do order enough that the female manager knows my name. Slightly embarrassing on my part, but very thoughtful of her to always stop and say hi ! Delicious food and awesome staff! I love taco ocho!

First found Taco Ocho when I was working in Flowermound and would bring it home, was super pumped when they came to McKinney! The queso is the best around and they have some amazing tacos, tostadas and tortas! Its literally the only place we order out from anymore, my wife makes me pick it up at least once a week. Super friendly staff and management make it even better, they know me by name and make us feel super welcome, exactly the experience you want these days! Will continue to go here as long as there are around, and if they close I guess we will have to go to Flowermound more often! Check it out and ignore the bad reviews, its hard to find good help these days, if you ever have an issue the managers there clear it up and take care of you. Cant recommend enough!!!
