I have been working with Camille since December of 2023, and while my soon to be ex-husband has been extremely frustrating, and it is August of 2024 and we are just now about to sit down for mediation, Camille has been the absolute best part of this whole experience. I have never worked with a lawyer before outside of consulting with my companys internal counsel to approve wording for internal documents so I didnt know much about what to expect. I knew lawyers were supposed to be an educated advocate for their clients, and Camille is absolutely that. I also knew that lawyers were called representation and working with Camille I finally understand why. I truly feel REPRESENTED by Camille. She takes the time to answer my questions, and when we sent over proposed temporary orders I feel like I not only understood the entire document, I feel like that document truly represented what I wanted for our boundaries and requirements. Any time their is an email exchange with the opposing counsel (OC) that she needs me to weigh in on I am always amazed by how her response so perfectly captures and articulates my position or requirement or whatever. We also recently had our pre-game meeting to prepare for mediation and to try and be prepared I googled things to include in a divorce decree or something similar and came across a few articles/reddit threads/quora threads that has things I wish I had included in my divorce and I read through a handful and 99.9% were things that Camille had already taken into account. I waked away with a lot of gratitude for Camille and her team, and very little in the way of things I wanted to add. I will update this after the divorce is final if there is anything worth saying above what Ive said here, but one piece of advice I will add is to any future divorce clients: Take an active role in whats happening. When you get back discovery documents, go through them yourself with a fine tooth comb. When you get a document draft from Camille or her team read through it and ask about anything you dont completely understand. Camille will absolutely meet that energy and set you up for success in the best way. I know its scary and a divorce is all the things we all hate to engage with: paperwork, financial documents, legal language, and confrontation, but you CAN do this and Camille will absolutely be there with you every step of the way.

Paying over $300 for one hour consultation is way too much but I paid it. All she was interested seems like was how much money you had vs strategizing on how to keep a client safe & how to win a case. I went to get divorce advice but she wanted to take the case in a criminal manner talking about assault. I was hesitant. I wanna win but not that way. I had to think about it.....as I went home to think about it 2-3 days...I emailed to set up another consult to get a better strategy plan & asked more questions about her experience before I paid my 10k retainer but was told she declined my case and wouldnt tell me why. Im glad I didnt sign asap and listened to my gut because all of her questions were asking about money & what we owned vs a plan that was caring about divorcing after many many many years & all the emotions that are attached to breaking up. I found a lawyer in Allen thats very caring and invested in my well being not my checkbook. Her resume was great but with so many emotions flying people need more than that...they need empathy

My experience with Camille back in 2015 was a great experience during one of the worst times of my life. We went to trial and I had 3 things I requested trim the judge. Carissa Galvan was absolutely amazing, there s enough stress dealing with divorce. I found that workings with Camile Borg firm and staff relief unnecessary stress which in turn helped me greatly. Phone calls to the office were returned few minutes later , never felt left out of any information about my case or excuses and also the customer service from the lawyers and the girls in the office was outstanding. However, my recent encounter with this law firm during a trial proved to be a disheartening experience that left me questioning their level of professionalism and dedication. As the trial date loomed closer, the cracks in the foundation of the law firms preparation process became painfully evident. It was a mere night before the trial was set to commence when I was abruptly contacted to participate in last-minute preparation. This immediate scramble for preparation was accompanied by a distinct lack of communication and minimal contact from the law firm in the days leading up to the trial. Such a lack of correspondence left me with a feeling of unease and uncertainty, as I was left largely uninformed about the strategy and direction of the case. The pivotal moment arrived as the trial began, and the defending lawyers demeanor and performance in the courtroom left much to be desired. The overwhelming sense of being unprepared radiated from their demeanor, causing an undercurrent of unease among everyone involved. The lawyer seemed visibly overwhelmed by the proceedings, struggling to keep up with objections, cross-examinations, and the overall rhythm of the trial. This palpable lack of preparedness not only reflected poorly on the lawyer but also cast a shadow on the entire law firms reputation. In legal matters as critical as a trial, meticulous preparation, clear communication, and a profound understanding of the case are imperative. Regrettably, this law firm fell short on all accounts. The absence of consistent communication and the last-minute attempt to cobble together a defense strategy showcased a lack of dedication to the clients well-being and a disregard for the gravity of the situation. The trial itself felt like a missed opportunity, leaving me questioning the competence of the legal team and the authenticity of their commitment to my case. Camille is fantastic. She helped me in so many ways outside of just legal documents. Being her client was truly wonderful. I have left the situation feeling like Ive made a new best friend. She isnt just a lawyer, she is very educated in psychology as well, and so she really walked me through my trauma and helped me heal. Writing this review is actually making me emotional. I recently used Carissa Galvan-Crews for some work only a skilled attorney could handle. I found her through an online search, and I am so glad I decided to use her. What I thought would take months and months to handle only took a little less than 2 months from start to finish. The outcome of my case was extremely better than I couldve ever imagined. When I first began to modify my child custody case, a protection order was already in place. As there were many moving parts to the court hearings and other proceedings, I decided I required legal representation. Carissa and I spoke, and I hired her right away. Through all the trials and tribulations of my life, which has been many, Camille always has the right words to bring me out of my funk. She is so much more than an attorney. She has a kind heart. But that doesn t mean she won t destroy your adversary in court. Camille Borg Law PLLC is like that friend who picks you up after a bad breakup, a disappointing job interview, or a overwhelming family reunion. Camille and her team work so diligently, they take pride in their work and have been very supportive even when you might be wary of the justice system. I mean look at their logo! I contacted this law firm to help with modifying my custody agreement. I live in a different state, and I was able to meet with an attorney via Zoom to discuss my children who live in Collin County. Carissa was the attorney I worked with. She was so caring and heard all my concerns. I finally felt that I was going to be able to get through to my childrens father what I believed to be the best interest for them. Camille has excellent integrity, I retained her a few years ago to modify my divorce degree but she told me that I would be better off to drop the case. I m pretty sure any another attorney would have happily taken me on as a client! Now a few years later I see just how wise Camille s compassionate council was. Part of that compassion comes from the fact that her undergrad was in psychology, she is a well rounded woman and able to help those of us who are grieving make the best decisions. It has now been 5 years since my divorce and I thank the Lord every single day for my divorce which will always be one of the very best blessings that I have ever received to be ride of my ex. While my ex and I are the furthest from friends possible, we are able to successfully parallel parent, a term I didn t know until Camille taught me about it. I am a physician. I filled the petition for divorce myself together with a drafted decree. The OC created a decree which was unfair to me and did not match the decree which I drafted myself. I decided to seek legal counseling and came to Ms. Borg. I thought that the top priority was to negotiate a counter offer and reach to settlement. This was not the case. In 3 weeks the retainer of $5000 was consumed mainly in producing discovery documents, answers to interrogatories and inventory and appraisements. These were produced at the last minute. Ms. Borg did not pay attention to details of our discussions. She did not take notes and I had to answer to questions which were asked before and responded to. Of course I had to bear the cost for that. She did not read the decree produced by the OC or my drafted one. I had to point out details of things written in the decree which she was not aware of. I was charged for 4.50 hours, which were spent on the settlement offer or counter offer. However the settlement offer was incomplete at the time of termination of services with Ms. Borg, had some contradictories and did not reflect my actual discussed offer with Ms. Borg. She did not represent my best interest. More than once I had to defend myself with my own counselor. Though she was the one who decided to withdraw from the case over a disagreement of her insisting on me getting the house appraised and me refusing to do it because the OC thought the house price was way less than the market value, I agreed to her withdrawal and signed the motion without contesting it. I am glad that this happened so I could have a counselor who truly represent my best interests and give me sincere legal advises when needed. This short experience was a total disappointment. I would not recommend Ms. Borg to any one. I would encourage you to read negative reviews carefully because I did not pay so much attention to that.

Camille exceeded my expectations. I knew I needed a counselor with an assertive personality who would be zealous, because I wanted to be confident we would reach a fair outcome, not because I wanted to maximize my share of the settlement. Thats exactly what I got, and I felt that she adopted her approach to align with my intentions. I wanted a very logical approach, and was pleased that she spoke my language. I was very satisfied with how responsive and available she was. Since I have almost no comparative knowledge, Regarding value, her method of billing was precisely described at the introductory meeting, and is accurate, thoroughly disclosed, and fair. When shopping for an attorney, a surprising number of my divorced friends said they wouldnt recommend their attorney, for various reasons. That wont be the case for me.

Do not deal with Camille Borg, she doesn t know her stuff, she will send you rude emails when you ask her questions by email, in my mediation I told her make sure me EX can t move far so I can see my son easier, the other attorney put she has to live in this county and CONTIGUOUS counties , she allowed that to stick, if you google contiguous counties to your county , you will see she can move pretty far , a lot of counties fall in that category. My court date was a few days later, she found out during mediation that I had money in the bank, and said if we don t agree in mediation and go to court I want $10000, original agreement was $5000, my back was against the wall and basically agreed to most of their terms and avoided court. In short she s money driven and doesn t know her stuff and is rude. Avoid her., she s lying about limited representation, we were gonna go to trial if needed to, why else would she double her fees from 5k to 10k upon sniffing $. Don t fall for her 5 stars , those are probably from friends and family giving her reviews, if you are trying to divorce your narcissistic spouse, don t hire a narcissist to represent you.

No one wants to find themselves in need of hiring a family lawyer. Yet my husband and I were in just such a situation. We originally hired a different lawyer and spent almost a year in limbo. Our questions were never answered in a timely manner and we later found out that the advice which had been given to us was bad advice. I contacted Camille Borg about a legal issue, not having any idea how time intensive/expensive it would be but was expecting the worst from everything that I had heard about lawyers in the past. After my initial consult, I felt such a relief. She went above and beyond to research my specific issue and see what we should do about it. In the end, we agreed that nothing needed to be done. I am amazed at the integrity that she has. She easily could have taken my money and kept bleeding me, but she didnt. We hired Camille and her firm to help us with a difficult family legal issue. My wife contacted her and was able to meet her that very same day for a consultation. I had to work, and they conference called me from Camille s office to discuss our issue. Camille is so knowledgeable and thorough, and at the same time, compassionate and friendly. Most attorneys struggle managing being an expert in their field and being relatable, but Camille has it down. That day of our consultation we already had an action plan and invaluable advice. I had the opportunity to co-counsel a very difficult CPS case with Camille recently. Camille is is details person. There was literally nothing about this case Camille could not recite from memory with near perfect accuracy, which due to the thousands of pages of records involved is an amazing feat. UPDATE: After posting this review Camille personally reached out to discuss the matter and apologize for any negative experiences I had while a client of her firm. She also issued a small partial-refund to help make amends for it. While this doesnt erase the negative parts of my experience, it was meaningful for her to reach out and take steps to help make some amends. ----- Several months ago I was a client of Camille Borg Law for a legal matter. My experience overall was a very frustrating and disappointing one. When I came to Camille, it was because of an EXISTING suit raised by ANOTHER PARTY towards myself. After I had already met with Camille and her staff and their representation of my case was well underway, I learned several weeks after the fact via a charge to my account that her office had filed A NEW SUIT on my behalf towards the other party. This was completely baffling since the very reason I had come to her firm was to get representation on an EXISTING CASE directed towards myself. She did apologize for the clerical miscommunication error and reimbursed for the filing expense, but the fact that it happened was very unprofessional and disconcerting, and I still dont understand how a mistake that blatant was processed. Multiple times when reviewing my monthly account charge statements, I found several errors and had to contact her office for correction. This subsequently prompted me to have to spend significant amounts of my own time carefully reviewing the charges her office sent me monthly, to identify any incorrect or inaccurate charges. When paying so much money for her legal services, it was extremely frustrating to have to be double checking her offices work constantly. (She did at one point credit me with 1-hours worth of her office time to my account to compensate me for the time I was spending after I sent a complaint). During the several months my case was in process, I obviously had multiple conversations with Camille about it, many by phone. On several on the calls, when we would begin talking about my case, I felt as if Camille did not remember what we had last talked about, and wasnt aware of what the current status of my case was. I would routinely have to remind her about our last conversation and what had happened since our last call. This was NOT just a single isolated occurrence, but rather a persistent theme. This was one of the most unnerving parts of my experience, as it made me feel as if my case was not a priority, and that I was really on my own and having to work to pull her office into getting my case moving along. After I initially contacted her office and began as a client, I didnt hear from her for MULTIPLE weeks and had to reach out myself. Most of the case I felt as if I had to advocate for myself, because Camille would not remember what I wanted or needed. Many times I would bring my concerns and points of interest to Camille in the case, and she would go to the opposing counsel and come back, and I would have to remind her of what I was wanting to see in the outcome because she had not mentioned it with them. This cycle would repeat itself several times. Towards the end of the case I simply felt outlawyered by the opposing party. There were times where I felt like I was literally having to counsel Camille into what approach we could take in negotiating a settlement in the case, because there was no proactive initiative on her own. I did not feel fought for, but rather like I was having to force the office to do what I was already paying them good money for. During a stressful time in my life, having this office represent me served to increase my stress all the more. Between the persistent administrative errors, the significant times of communication silence from her office, and lack of initiative, I felt like a second priority to her office especially seeing now that other people seemed to have been getting taken care of. The case eventually came to a conclusion, but off of my experience I would not recommend using this law firm for legal representation.
