Bourbon is good but no option to have a stand alone pour. It s a tasting only then option to buy a bottle. Not worth the trip given it ends up being a 10 minute experience

A fantastic award winning distillery in Collin County that I just recently discovered existed. Great Texas bourbon is made here. They currently have 6 different bourbons to choose from which you can try and also purchase bottles there as well. Not only is the bourbon great so is the family that owns and runs it. They are very knowledgeable about their products and transparent about how everything is made. The property is beautiful set out in the country in the town of Lowerys Crossing. The tour is great as you get to see the entire distillation process, barrel barn, and bottle filling building. An extremely well run distillery on a previous pecan orchard that embraces everything Texas as an Eighth generation Texas family. If you love Texas history you will love this place. Also if you dont like whiskey they have an awesome winery on property as well. So there is something for everyone to love if you come visit this great newly discovered distillery.

We took the tour today and had an amazing time! It was great to learn about the bourbon process. Tasting bourbon straight from the barrels was very unique! I can t believe that a distillery right in our neck of the woods has already won so many awards! The tasting room was amazing and the family was very welcoming and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this experience and know we will be back soon!

1845 is a solid, recently awarded distillery. They currently offer 6 bourbons (including 3 cask strength options). You can get up to 5 free tastings (combined with the winery, also on site). Their product is on the pricier side($70-$80, give or take), so not necessarily affordable for everyone . However, what I tried was very good. If you like bourbon, its worth a try).

This was my first time visiting a distillery. My experience there has set the bar quite high (which is unfortunate for other distilleries). Everyone there was extremely friendly and exhibited a passion for what they offer. Bob was a wealth of knowledge. I enjoyed hearing about how the family business came to be. I see a long future ahead for them. I cant encourage you enough to seek out this hidden gem if you are in the area!

We did a distillery tour here. Upon entering the gates you see the cutest barn like building & upon entering you re warmly greeted. The tour was really educational and fun. It was really cool tasting & smelling the differences in the aging of the bourbon. We ll definitely be back to purchase our fave bourbon & tell all of our friends!

Just visited today (July 29) and we had a nice time. They make bourbon as well as wine, and have separate tasting rooms for both. We took the (free) tour for the bourbon, and sampled three straight from the barrel. One was about 17 months old, one was about 2.5 years old, and the third was about 3.5 years old. Bob (the owner) said he did this so you can compare how to taste changes with age. I have to say, the 3.5 year old was very good and smooth. They have three types at the moment: a regular bourbon, a wheated, and a four grain. All are very good and proof at 100. They have a wheated barrel strength coming out Aug 12 that has aged for 44 months and is 116.8 proof. When you arrive, they give you 5 tokens that you can use for wine or bourbon tastings in addition to what you get on the tour. The bourbon tour tastings from the barrel were the regular bourbon, so I used three tokens to sample all three. Then we moved into the wine tasting area and they have quite a few to try. I really enjoyed the VooDoo rose This place is very relaxed and enjoyable and hopefully they will do well. They also sell glassware and t-shirts but no food.
