This is by far my favorite restaurant in Cedar Park. The staff are all cordial and attentive to your every need. Best celiac menu, most items can be made without gluten, including delicious pizza. All the food is delicious, great Chef! The bartender Cole is a pleasure to visit with and a very knowledgeable mixologist. You will not be disappointed .

First time for us. It was our anniversary dinner. We had the Bruschetta, Fried Calamari, Fettucine Alla Alba, and Lasagna. The starting bread served with oil was soft and good, and the oil, though it didnt taste like olive oil, had lots of garlic in it, which I love. My wife loved the Bruschetta. The Bruschetta and Fried Calamari needed salt, but theres salt on the table for salt lovers like me. I did miss having some tentacles in the Calamari, and the calamari was a bit rubbery. But unlike some places, the breading was seasoned. Ample portions of the Fettucine and Lasagna. The Fettucine was out of this world. Lots of garlic flavor and delicious crispy prosciutto. The Lasagna was also excellent. Im not normally a big fan of pork, but I have to make a strong exception here. The pork in the pork/beef mix in the lasagna was delicious. The pork flavor came through and almost tasted like Italian sausage, which gave it a great zing. And that mountain of mozzarella!! Yum. Service was very good. They have keto and gluten-free options. Well be back.

I am not a big reviewer, however after my experience last weekend, I feel I need to chime in. Understand that this review is also in response to Donna Brattons review which is somewhere below. First time patron, Donna was so excited to bring me there for a drink and appetizer based on her first experience the week prior. I didnt even sit down before Cole the bartender came over to me explaining the tight ship he ran at his bar. He proceeded to lecture my friends behavior from her previous visit to a point where we thought he was joking around and awkwardly laughing. We soon learned this was not a joke and as I looked up, the entire bar area was looking at us. I was horrified!! I did read the other review and I need to point out his rebuttal.. that the interaction with the older lady happened on our way out, so that is no excuse as to how we were treated before we could even put our purses down. NOTE this is not in any way an overserved situation. This is a person that thinks he is powerful behind the bar and went too far in my opinion. I will also back up the 4 Jack Daniels shots he had within 45 minutes. I am so bummed as I would surely make this a place to visit on a regular basis as I live 1 mile away, however I am to embarrassed to go back.

I want to share a concerning experience I had at your restaurant, hoping it might lead to improvements. I initially visited on a Tuesday night with a friend for a birthday dinner. We sat at the bar, enjoyed some appetizers and drinks, and had a pleasant time interacting with the bartender and other customers.. Everything seemed great, and I was even considering your restaurant for a company Christmas party, which I typically host elsewhere. However, my impression changed drastically when I returned on Thursday with a different friend. This time, I was confronted by the bartender, Cole, who accused me of being obnoxious and over-served. He claimed that I was too loud and had been too close to another customer( in her face) , the neighbor whom I had reconnected with after many years. I was surprised and hurt by these accusations, as I had only been excited and animated in a friendly manner. Coles approach was abrasive and humiliating. Everyone at the bar was watching us. My friend was mortified, and the scene he created made the entire experience uncomfortable. To make matters worse, Cole seemed intent on getting us to leave, which was further evident when he didn t offer us a menu after we ordered a drink. My distress was compounded when I later spoke with my neighbor, who informed me that Cole had reprimanded her in the past for similar reasons. I also learned that another regular patron supported Coles perspective, which made me question the fairness of his judgment. I also Question an establishment who allows their employees to drink. We witnessed him drinking 4 shots of jack Daniels in 45 minutes, how many did he have before he reprimanded us, hence his belligerent behavior towards us. As a community business owner and a long-time nurse, I was deeply shocked by the way I was treated. I genuinely believe that such treatment is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment. I would urge you to reconsider how employees like Cole interact with customers, as this experience has unfortunately led me to decide that I will not return or recommend your restaurant to others. I hope this feedback is received constructively, as my intention is to see improvements in customer service for future patrons.

I have been coming to Tuscano s since before it was Tuscano s. When Jay bought the former Gino s, it was a good day for Cedar Park residents and anyone who loves food, primarily Italian. But, Jay and his staff have created a twist on the Italian with a slight dash of Texas to season the fare. Like Brisket Bolognese or Italian Enchilada or Chicken Fried Potk Tenderloin. Personal favorites are Redfish Florentine or the Greek Salad with Salmon. And, if I am craving pizza, I want it from Tuscany s. Be sure to check out Tuscano s bar, professionally managed by Cole on Tuesday through Saturday evenings. Great drinks and great company week in and week out. I am grateful to have a restaurant with great food and great people so close to my house. Jay, Jack and Cole and all of the staff at Tuscano s are doing a great job. Even beginning to feature live music in the bar area here and there. Great place to hang in Cedar Park. Highly recommended.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tuscano Restaurant, and it was an unforgettable experience. Chris, the bartender, truly set the tone for the evening with his impeccable service. He not only informed us of the daily specials but also gave us fantastic recommendations that perfectly suited our tastes. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made our visit even more enjoyable. Sarah, one of the servers was equally impressive. She delivered our food promptly and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Its rare to find such consistently excellent service, but Tuscano never disappoints. Now, lets talk about the food absolutely phenomenal! Every dish was prepared to perfection, bursting with flavor, and beautifully presented. Its clear that the kitchen staff takes immense pride in their work. One of the standout aspects of Tuscano is the involvement of the owner. He is deeply engaged with his staff, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. The improvements since he took over are evident and have transformed the place for the better. To top it all off, Tuscano now features live music, adding an extra layer of charm to an already exceptional dining experience. If you havent checked out Tuscano yet, youre missing out on one of the best dining experiences around. Highly recommended! Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome

Had dinner here with my family to celebrate a birthday. The food was amazing. I ordered the ribeye (of course) and it was served perfectly, especially considering this is an Italian restaurant. My family ordered the typical pasta dishes. Our server was amazing, very attentive to our group (we had 10 people at our table). It took a little bit of time for our food to arrive. However, that was completely understandable because it was a Friday night and the place was packed. I definitely recommend reserving a table in advance.

Tuscano puts in the extra effort as your local Italian comfort food destination. From a creative cocktail menu to a regularly refreshed entree menu, the owners are definitely focused on being something more than a simple spaghetti and meatballs fix. Great table bread and oil, moderately priced wine selections (with specials some nights that make for an even better value). Try the Tuscan combo for a great sampling of several traditional dishes, but dont overlook the Texas flair and wide selection of chicken and veal preparations.

Come for the service and ambience but leave for the food. The service is absolutely top notch and the ambience is serene and the decor is gorgeous. I want them to succeed but Im sorry, I cannot in good faith recommend this restaurant. My bf and I visited last week based on the positive reviews but were sorely disappointed by the quality of the food. We appreciate our servers honesty in confirming that none of the pasta, including tortellini, were homemade. All pasta dishes, including the build-it-yourself ones ($14 just for the noodles), amounted to >= $20. That is WAY overpriced for food thats not homemade. We tried the chicken panna, which tasted OK but it really was quite uninspired and again, expensive for what it was ($20 for a chicken breast on spaghetti, a cream sauce, and vegetables). We also ordered a small pizza with pepperoni and pineapple, all while knowing that the pineapple was canned and not fresh. Even frozen pizza like Red Barons is so much better. Not only did the pizza crust have the flavor and texture like toasted pita bread, the whole thing was blanketed in cheap mozzarella and it looked worse than pizza from a school cafeteria. The pizza was incredibly salty, probably due to the pepperoni and the sauce. It was a 7 pizza and Im so thankful to the server that she said that size would be filling for 1 person because I wouldve felt even more regret had I ordered a bigger size. I truly regret going there. The garlic in oil dipping sauce that they give you at the start of your meal IS delicious at least. Im pretty sure thats homemade, so theres potential. I hope that the price of the food converts to a living wage for the staff. Otherwise we really got bamboozled. I m giving this place 2 stars because I don t think they should be shut down for being unhygienic or rude. The experience just left with me with a real case of buyer s remorse.

Slow service, terrible food. We ate at Toscanos a year ago and decided to go celebrate a birthday last night. There were 4 of us and all the meals ordered were terrible. Eggplant parmesean - the eggplant was tough and chewy, the side of pasta was way over cooked and sticky. The marinera sauce was runny and bland. Had about 4 bites and did not finish the meal. The lobster ravioli did not taste like lobster was even an ingredient in the ravioli. Ordered a veal dish with a cream sauce and the cream sauce was very runny, not creamy at all. The vegetables were terrible - not cooked at all. The lasagna was just okay. Our waitress was super nice and friendly, but the wait time seems longer than it should be, also they leave plates of food on the table and we had to ask them to remove the plates from the table. No one at our table finished their meals. Sadly we will not return and do not recommend.

No herbs or anything in the oil. They brought us the wrong meat of the Italian Enchilada, was told they could not fill our order because the only 2 chorizo ones they had went to other people and they didn t have a didn t have any other. We sat at the table at 6 pm. I ve never had a food run out before the dinner rush even started. My pasta for my chicken portofino was so gummy and cold. My son s pepperoni and bacon pizza was very burned and smelled like cheap microwaved bacon. The two other people in our party did not finish their meals. When we asked for more bread and oil the oil dish and bread were practically slammed on the table, the guy was very rude. Our server was a sweet girl, the issues were not her fault. She was kind and attentive.

Update 03-05-2024 After a couple of years, finally made our way back to Tuscano Italian Kitchen. Not sure what we have been thinking, its just a bit out of the way for us and not top of mind... what a mistake! Re-visited Tuscano tonight for a wine pairing dinner with Flat Creek Estate Winery, also a first experience for us... the evening was delightful! The food was incredible, the wine was great! See the pic attached for the food/wine pairing for the evening... I like to write, but not through 5 courses! LOL Suffice it to say, the food paring were well done. Nice touch by Tuscano to provide a little bubbly up front! Al of the course were expertly paired with wines... food = wine ... spice = tannins ... all were well balanced. All in all, a very good show ... we plan to check out Flat Creek soon, Tuscano well be going back SOON! A great wine/dinner combo, highly recommend Tuscano Italian Kitchen and Flat Creek. Get you some of that...!!! PS Some of the interior photos were taken at the end of the night, dont think the place was empty, it was packed! Prior Review We recently went looking for new restaurants close by and stumbled upon Toscano Italian Kitchen in Cedar Park (where Ginos used to be). We decided to give it a try on a Wednesday evening. I must confess up front that Im a pretty tough critic when it comes to Italian restaurants, having worked many years as a chef at an Italian restaurant. My meal at TIK is a pleasure to review here, and I hope readers find this helpful! The staff was warm and friendly, and we were seated immediately. Service was great, attentive but not intrusive. The meal starts with gratis freshly made bread and an olive oil/garlic/spice mix that was deelish! Although were not usually appetizer people, since this was a new place for us, we decided to try a couple of appetizers. We ordered the mussels and the fried cheeses/zucchini. The mussels were plentiful, and served in a fantastic white wine-butter- mushroom sauce. We ordered a second basket of bread to sop up the extra sauce! LOL The fried cheese-zucchini dish was served piping hot, and included a marinara and ranch dressing for dipping. Both dishes were fantastic! For main courses we shared shrimp portofino, redfish portofino, and veal marsala. The dishes came hot, the portions were plentiful, and the fish and veal were super fresh ... well prepared, expertly seasoned, and artfully presented. We enjoyed a bottle of Justin Cab with the meal, half-price bottles of wine on Wednesdays! For dessert, we decided on the Basque-style cheesecake, with candied pecans, hot honey and bourbon sauce. The perfect ending to a wonderful meal. One word describes the meal in general ... stupefacente! (thats Italian for amazing!). Although we sat in the dining area, we did check out the bar area on the way out. The bar area is very well appointed and inviting. Well try that next time. Very much recommend TIK, check it out the next time youre in the Cedar Park TX area. We placed an order to pick up. The order I received was the wrong pasta, the wrong sauce, and nothing was seasoned. I ordered chicken which was as dry as a bone. Why when one orders a sauce does one received NO sauce and the wrong pasta? It was inedible. It went straight into the trash. So incredibly disappointing. If I had only received what I ordered, and had been able to eat it due to appropriate seasoning, I would love to have had an experience to rate this establishment as something anyone would ever consider visiting.

we ate here a few years ago and although it was poor service and sub par Italian food we decided to give it another try considering the reviews. The place was about half full and we were seated immediately. some dude plopped some wonder bread down on the table then just walked off. we waited for 15 minutes while a server checked in on two tables then greeted another as they got seated. to make matters worse the manager told us to have a good night as we walked out, oblivious to the situation. guess well try in a few more years

The food at this place was great! The way they did the penne a la vodka was super tasty and comparable to other great italian restaurants. The chicken slices in the pasta were not to my liking as they didn t have muck flavor. I was not in love with the ambiance and decorations as it felt like I was at a house due to sparse decor. However, the olive oil and bread partly made up for it along with the great service.

It was our first time here and it was great. Oh...the food was so good. My hubby had the small calzone and it was perfect, not too small. I can only imagine the big, but where do you get to pick? Never seen that. I had the Autumn pasta, and I have never tasted anything like it. Yum!! Will be our best Italian restaurant going forward.

Tuscano Italian Kitchen is a hidden local gem! The relaxing atmosphere, cloth linens, and soft lighting create an ambiance for date night or dinner with the family. Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. Shortly thereafter, the Italian bread and seasoned oil arrived for nibbling. For appetizers, we chose the Calamari Fritti and Stuffed dates. We were not disappointed. The stuffed dates were fantastic! The combination of dates and goat cheese, topped with the sweet-savory flavor of the balsamic reduction, was extraordinary! My mouth is watering just thinking about them. The Calamari Fritti was delicious as well. Lite in flavor, not chewy, and perfectly paired with the spicy marinara sauce. Our main course included the Pasta Pescatore, Chicken Parmigiana, and Chicken Picatti. All delivered with extraordinary presentation, generous portions, and distinctive flavor. We had the honor of being waited on by Jordan. He has a great personality, paid attention to detail, and was attentive to all our needs. Our glasses were never empty, used plates removed quickly, and we never needed to request his attention. Its been difficult for us to find an Italian restaurant with authentic Italian cuisine, especially when youre married to an Italian. Im thrilled to say our search is over! Weve found our new favorite spot. Tuscano Italian Kitchen will not disappoint!

We decided to try this place on friday as it came highly recommended from our friends. It s easy to locate off of S. Lakeline and Cypress Creek. Plenty of parking options and your choice to be seated outside or inside. Summer months you perhaps would prefer the inside. The service is top notch and food is served very quickly - our server was pleasant and he recommended is some vegetarian options which really tasted nice. The food on the whole is pretty nice but maybe slightly bigger portions would have been nicer. They do have a decent selection for vegetarians which is very good. The ambience is nice and relaxed with a nice touch of farmhouse decor giving it a nice Italian food in southern hospitality affair. You will love this place. Vegetarian options: A decent selection available for vegetarians and that makes this a great option for vegetarians to try out.

I will not go back. My friend planned for a group of friends to go there to celebrate my birthday and another friends birthday. She called ahead and ask if she could take a cake. Food was good but slow. Or waitress was nice and she did her best. She told us she could give us a dessert for celebrating a birthday but only one so we order ice cream. EACH of us got charged $1.00 plate fee for bringing our own dessert (my friend was not told anything about it) and $99.00 EACH for one (one for 6 of us) very tiny bowl of ice cream that wasnt even 1 scoop. At the end we went with the manager to express our discontent with the extra fees. He said he didnt know who answer the phone when my friend called about the cake and that the waitress should not offer us a birthday treat since we had brought our own dessert. He was very rude and unapproachable, he told us good night and pointed us to the door. TERRIBLE!!! Never going back. The food was ok but not that great to put up with that.

My second time eating here and both times the food was great. Each time was a party of 3 and everyone very much liked the food. The first visit went well, service was good, food was very good. It was pretty busy but service was spot on food and was served quickly. The second visit was a Sunday we arrived around 1 pm. It wasnt busy at all, 1 large party of about 12 who were receiving their food shortly after we arrived. And the rest of the restaurant had maybe 6 tables with 2 - 6 people. We ordered our food within 15 minutes of being seated. We didnt see our waiter again for about 40 minutes. In the meantime another waitress who was cleaning up after the large group stopped by and asked if we wanted more bread, we asked her to check on our food since it had been so long and it wasnt busy. We all ordered pasta dishes which should be done within a few minutes. She said she would check. Our waiter showed up 10 minutes later and said our order had been bumped. We werent sure what that meant, it got bumped behind other orders? It got bumped and fell to the ground? No good explanation. He was sort of apologetic but not genuinely, While it probably wasnt his fault he is representing the restaurant and didnt seem concerned about our order taking so long. We could hear the staff talking and laughing so that made things a little more frustrating for us. Our food finally showed up 10 minutes after the waiter came back. We all agreed we probably wouldnt come back if the food wasnt so great. We will probably try again and hope this was a one time experience. On a final note my wife asked for a drink to go and had to remind the waiter twice to get the drink. Props to him for running to get it the last time :) While his level of service wasnt the best, he was very nice.

Oof, had such high hopes for this place based on other reviews but our dinner experience was painful. It took 15mins for any server to come by initially and then an additional 15mins (and 2 inquiries by us to different staff members) to receive our drinks. The food was decent but the 3+ bartenders/workers who witnessed us sitting for 30mins with no drinks or food and did absolutely nothing about it was baffling. I get all industries are struggling for staff right now but this was painful enough not to go back.

Tonight I ate at Tuscano, (formerly Ginos) for the first time. What a disappointment, country music in the bathroom, chicken fried steak parmesan, brisket meat sauce, barbeque meat balls!? It was sacrilegious, horrifying!! I have lost all hope in the central Texas restaurant industry. Not everything needs a Texas twist, especially when there isnt a good example of the cuisine that theyre putting the twist on within a 50 mile radius. Being that Im from New York, I have a pretty high bar for Italian food, and no matter where I go, I cant find a single decent Italian joint in central Texas. After the decline of Belle Sera, and the buyout of Salerno Cucina, this was the only hope, hadnt tried it yet, so I thought i would give it a go. There were five people, one a simple man who doesnt complain much ordered the chicken picatta, no complaints, but he didnt love it. The second man ordered chicken Parm, slightly undercooked, not raw, but a little extra chew in it. The third and fourth man ordered the Portofino, no real complaints, though Im not completely fluent in Spanish. I ordered Fettuccine with Rosa sauce (pink/vodka sauce), which the waitress called Rosé sauce, giving me a bad feeling. It gets to the table, and.... Its the most neutral tasting Italian food Ive had in years, not enough onion, garlic, oregano, salt, or pepper, and they put parmesan on it, which is a big issue in its own way, but nitpicking. The biggest problem with what was summarized by the staff when asked as vodka sauce? There was no vodka in the sauce, and you could tell, because it just tasted like a weak tomato sauce with some cream. If you are a real Italian food lover, or from up north, dont come here, the service is much better than when it was Ginos, but the food suffers the same fate, being put in a leftover box and left in my fridge for two weeks until i remember to throw it out. I am giving three stars because the staff were friendly, helpful, put up with fixing our problems, and gave an overall excellent service. But the food was sacrilegious, bland, and 1/5 times will be undercooked.

We decided to try out Tuscano after our neighbor gave it rave reviews. We had a party of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids). The restaurant was nicely decorated and the bar area looked particularly inviting. Much improved from the previous owner. The bread was soft and warm and really great. The kids ate an entire basket and asked for another. We had fried zuccini for an appetizer and everyone liked it, was a big portion, enough for 7 people. I had a side salad which was good and fresh. For dinner we had, lasagna, Brisket bolognese, chicken Piccata and tuscan combo. I would only give my Brisket bolognese a 4 out of 5 because the Brisket was a bit chewy, bummer. It did have good flavor though. Everyone else liked their food. It came really hot! The kids had cheese pizza, chicken strips and fettuccine Alfredo. The pizza was REALLY good!!! I was jealous I didnt order it. The chicken strips were good too, not dry and had alot of chicken in them instead of many places having all batter. Everything was very reasonably priced too. Id come back but would enjoy pizza and wine in the inviting bar area. Oh and bread, loved the bread! Parking: Plenty of parking Kid-friendliness: Pizza, chicken strips and Alfredo pasta, my kiddos loved it. Especially the bread!

Was anticipating an awesome meal with all the great reviews but was very disappointed. Our food was cold, pasta was mushy and even got the wrong meal. No sorry or a drink on us or dessert. Will not even give them a second try.
