My grandpa and I have gotten to know the family that owns this spot, and they really are the sweetest people we have ever met. Will always go to the hydeout when we can! The food is absolutely amazing, please please try their paninis !! Also their migas hits the spot every time Dietary restrictions: If you are on keto or need to be low carb, I recommend either their taco salad or the diet plate, so filling and never disappoints!

I had heard good things about this place and was able to try it for myself. I will certainly be back-it was great! I had the huevos rancheros, which I highly recommend. My friends enjoyed the churro French toast and the American breakfast with pumpkin pancakes. We all enjoyed the food, the excellent service, and the strong coffee.

This place hits the spot for Brunch. Came on a Saturday morning. While they were busy the service was still exceptional and the food was amazing. Chicken fried steak with perfect over easy eggs and the Trucker Skillet minus the mushrooms. Loved their hot sauce so much I had to buy a bottle! We ate there again... I added photos from that meal. So delicious. We are hooked.

Had the trucker skillet with pancakes. OMG! What I loved the most is the hashbrowns were cooked very well. They were crunchy as opposed to the typical soft potatoes. It was by far the best skillet I have ever had. The pancakes were fluffy and tender. The staff was friendly. Hydeout Cafe is a must for breakfast or brunch.

We really enjoyed the meal. The food quality and flavor were very good. We arrived on Sunday at 11:00 AM and they were very busy. We were seated quickly even though we were on a wait list. The orders arrived together at the table and the service was excellent! I must admit that the dining room was loud, but thats the only negative that I can list. While some other local restaurants that primarily serve breakfast and lunch have declined in food and service quality, the Hydeout Cafe has, in my opinion, improved. Well be back!

Hydeout Cafe is beautiful in atmosphere and hospitality. My first day i had a BLT and coffee, everything came out freshly cooked and flavorful. Best bacon ive had in a while. I stopped by on my last day to have another coffee, fantastic roast. The atmosphere is so homely, the servers can be seen having smiles on their faces, and you can chit chat with anyone if in the mood for company. i truly felt welcomed. Thank you.

This is a super clean, modern Diner Cafe that serves a wonderful Sunday brunch. Another brunch place on Stacy Road was busy so this was another place that was recommended to us from a family member. We stopped by and two of us had the eggs benedict and I had the country breakfast. Everything was cooked beautifully and presented wonderfully. The hash browns had the nice crispy brown fried surface but soft potatoes underneath, the Country Biscuit was buttery and crusty with a wonderful country gravy over the top, and my eggs were cooked perfectly to order. I enjoyed a coffee that gave me a pick me up and my family members enjoyed iced tea. Everything looks very clean and the service was fast. The patio looks like a great place to have an outside breakfast lunch or even dinner but I dont think theyre open for dinner. I wouldnt mind coming back, it was yummy.

Ordered various plates. I wasnt a big fan of their white toast. Their biscuits tasted a bit gummy, maybe a little underbaked. Their hashbrowns were under seasoned and could have been grilled a little longer. I understand that taste is subjective. This is my opinion and preference. Everything else was good, over easy eggs, ham, and scrambled eggs with cheese. Unfortunately, the service was not great. Our server never gave us drink refills. Once our plates came, we never saw her again until we asked for our check. The table next to us had a different waitress and much better service. My biggest gripe was the not so great cleaning upkeep of the restaurant. My menu was dirty, and I dont mean a small stain either. I would have asked for a new menu, but I would have needed our server for that request. The smoke alarm had a thick layer of dust on it. This was right above eye level at a sitting position. A quick jump on the bench and wipe would do wonders. Then there were shiny spots on the wall, probably from someone spitting food or sneezing. Small things, but small things add up. It is something that a quick wipe would have helped. Personally, I wouldnt go back only because their food wasnt to my preference. The other small problems can be rectified.

Disappointing Café Experience Due to Poor Customer Service My recent visit to a local café for a pre-ordered breakfast turned out to be quite disappointing. Despite expecting a smooth and quick experience, I encountered an empty café with no warm greetings. The server seemed confused when I mentioned my order, repeatedly asking to see the confirmation on my phone. Despite providing the necessary information, the server struggled to locate my order. The situation escalated when a shift supervisor approached me with an unwelcoming attitude, insisting I show my order on my phone again to verify it. This experience left me with no intention of returning. This encounter underscores the critical role customer service plays in a businesss success. A negative experience can deter not just one customer, but potentially an entire office or more, from returning. It is crucial for businesses, especially in the hospitality industry, to prioritize training and foster a culture of friendliness and respect towards customers. For those considering a visit to this café, I hope your experience is more positive. As for my colleagues and me, we will be taking our business elsewhere, seeking establishments that value every customer interaction.

Ive eaten most of the cafe type places in McKinney, certainly all the popular ones, and they are apparently pretty good, but inevitably something in the breakfast ismeh. Hydeway was good all around. All of the food was really good and high quality, portions were nice, its pretty affordable, and the service is good. I have several of the most popular breakfast cafe brands in the immediate vicinity of my home. Hydeway is considerably further, and Ill drive past all of them to eat the food here. Its my go to for this type of food now.

We were seated immediately which is good for breakfast since most places have a wait. When our food arrived I immediately noticed that my dry (liquid or powder) scrambled eggs had a slice of cheese sitting on top instead of being cooked in and melted. My son had the chicken fried steak which was very bland. I would probably only go to this restaurant if WH, IHOP or Black Walnut were too busy to seat me.

This place had quick and amazing service, the food was absolutely delicious, and the owner (Arie?) was very personable. When we checked out we got to talking with him about our profession as well as his ownership of the restaurant. The owner (whos from Albania) insisted we come sit back down and have an espresso on the house as its Albanian tradition to do so after a meal. It was a great experience and I will definitely be back again!! Parking: Business is located in a shopping center with ample parking available. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible ramp. Entry Door is wide. Seating arrangement somewhat wheelchair friendly.

This is not the greasy spoon you wish it was. In fact, one of the best things about a greasy spoon is the flavor - this place lacks flavor across the board. I don t understand how it s a 4.5 (currently). The misses at this restaurant we re across the board: - Benedict where the poached eggs were solid, not runny - fried chicken with zero seasoning - fried steak with no seasoning - under cooked hash browns in 2/3 entrees - biscuits that came with the meal delivered after everyone was done eating (they said they d be right back when they brought the meal) - no stopping by to see how the meal is tasting I might be willing to forgive the bad service, they pretty busy. On the positive side. The front of house was really polite, and the place seemed really clean. But that won t convince me to come back. One and done. I d rather a slightly dirty place and some actual flavor in my food.

The cinnamon French toast was delicious. The buttermilk pancakes were very good and had a good hint of vanilla with them. Biscuits may had just a tad to much butter, but they were good. Overall I would highly recommend. Forgot to get a picture until the end because how good everything was.

She said hash browns were the best she had ever had. I had their EGGS BENEDICT, also one of the best. A staff member held the door open to assist us (both using rolater or walker) into the cafe and to our seats. Cafe was clean, staff was courteous and attentive. I heartily recommend THE HYDEOUT CAFE is located at the Eldorado and Medical Center Drive in McKinney, Texas.

My fiancee at the time, and I was looking for a place to hold a brunch for our little graduate. I had a friend suggest the Hideout Cafe. We called, spoke to the owner, and he said, he could cater to our group. Not thinking much about it. The owner was more than accommodating. He let us in early, gave us carte blanche of the space. He even allowed us to keep our cake in his fridge until after the graduation and gave our little girl a congratulatory balloon. The best thing about the owner Ari, he made you feel welcome. We felt so welcomed that we not only had a graduation brunch, we had a wedding surprising everyone who attended. His team was professional, courteous, kind, and very respectful. The whole team was spectacular! I havent even said anything about the food. Everyone was satisfied and the food was delicious . Great owner, great team, great food and excellent service. Thanks to all who made May 20, 2023, a great day.

The food was solid breakfast/diner food, the service was pretty good even when they were busy, but it was absolutely too loud in there. Unless they can add some sound-dampening elements, I wont go back.

My wife and I were planning a kid-free morning and we were looking for a cafe to tryout in town. We ve lived in McKinney for over 6 years and have several places we like, but somehow, we never knew of this place. We tried it out and we absolutely loved it! The service was great as our waitress was one of the owners. Ariana was very kind and took great care of us. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The food was fantastic and the portions are plenty. My favorite part of the meal was their homemade hot sauce. If you love a hot sauce with a nice kick and smokey flavor, then I highly recommend it. You can also take a bottle home for $5!

One of the best in the DFW area, great service and great food! Atmosphere for senior citizens needs improvement. We make minor mistakes that could be excused instead of laughed at! This needs to be changed ASAP! Parking: Okay!

Had a great meal and a great time. The place was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. There were so many people we couldnt hear each other talk very well. Thats the only reason I didnt rate a 5 star. They are in demand good. I had the vegetable eggs benedict, hashbrowns, and a side of strawberries. A little less bell pepper might have been better actually. The cappuccino is strong and a touch bitter. Nothing 2 sugars couldnt fix!
