Visit Bolillos often for coffee and light breakfast. Their breakfast options are awesome, varying from plain breakfast tacos or toast bolillos smothered with refried beans or your choice of sides to full breakfast plates, which include omelettes, menudo, chilaquiles and many other. Their bakery is a world to itself -- best conchas and pan dulce in town. Their apple stuffed semitas are unique. And you cant beat the atmosphere... great place for family or business meets.

We went for lunch yesterday for our anniversary and the atmosphere inside and outside are so inviting. I tried the chicken poblano, and it exceeded my expectations ! This was my dads and my go-to restaurant before he passed in January this year. I always ordered the Cilantro Shrimp salad, and it was perfect each time! I wanted to try something different, and Im not surprised....it was also delicious and well portioned. The price isnt bad either!!

Really bad service, entered at 11:54am and was not greeted, waiting to be seated, people were coming in and out. Someone finally greeted us and gave us a number at 12:05pm., told us to go outside and wait out there. Saw people parking and going in and just be seated, while my party of 2 were waiting to be called with the buzzer number that I was given 30minutes before everyone that was entering. Sucks because I really like Bolillos!

Was looking forward to a nice hot torta/meal. We d stayed away from here for some time. Had asked for lettuce, tomato, guacamole, etc. on the side. Seemed like they got the order right. Got home, both of the thin strips of milanesa were slathered in guacamole. Note to restaurant: not everyone likes the food they way your preparers like to prepare it. The restaurant tried calling back 5-10 mins later. Too late, you ve failed already. And I m already headed somewhere else.

The food is delicious, the only thing I dont understand is, why? In several restaurants, even this one, they charge for the egg? It is not possible that a dish with meat is cheaper than some chilaquiles and that is because of the separate egg charge. When you order food that you think logically has egg, the waiter does not It lets you know that there will be an extra charge. Another thing is that there are only two bathrooms for the restaurant, which has a capacity of about 60 people. I think that when the city goes and checks that everything is fine, that is something that should be taken into account.

Service was the worst. We ate in and then ordered more to go. At no point did they tell us our food was ready to go. By the time we got home, food was soggy and cold. Seems like there was only one server for the entire floor. But plenty of staff behind the counter. No follow up during our stay by a manager or someone to ask us how we are doing. I don t expect Royal treatment but I do expect some level of care.

The waiters are friendly. The service did not taste good, I ordered bolillos with beans and mozzarella cheese. And dad arrived with an egg. The order was not as requested, it did not have the beans. They put the potatoes with egg and the mozzarella cheese on top. And very late. First time and no desire to return.

This place is so good the chilaquiles are the best the only thing is at times they take to long to bring stuff and when they do its wrong. For example I ordered a drink no ice they took a while and it had ice my nephew asked for egg whites took about 25min and they had the yoke but all in all the food is worth the minor things

Terrible customer service. Waited 42mins for 1 taco. Their excuse was that they had an event. Only in Laredo! This was 9/3/23 at 2:43pm. The manager on duty was also rude and disrespectful. PS. The barbacoa is nasty and greasy, stay away! Terrible!

Loved the food I got from the bakery. The coffe de olle and breakfast tacos where all on point . It was all so good it s already housed in my stomach but rest assured I ll be back and when I do I ll get some pics for y all to check out all in all lovvvved this place . The food was amazing, the service was amazing and the place is big and fun. I would not normally complain about something like this but I truly feel we were tricked. Firstly, we went with a group of 11. No one informed us that we would be charged 20% our bill for being a part of a large group. Mind you, that we had three different tickets. When it came time to pay, they paid us out at our table using a black device- the same device on which our order was logged. He told me my total was $89 which alone was shocking for some tacos and pancakes, but okay. The waiter inserted our card into the device then gave it to me so that I could choose my tip price. I thought the suggestions were too low, so I added a $10 tip. Following this, the waiter said he would bring us our receipt. Dummy me for not checking it while at Bolillos. When I got home, I saw that Bolillos had added $14 for a Large Party (the 20% I mentioned earlier). That is aside the $10 tip. I don t know if they intentionally did not inform us but I truly feel duped. In my opinion, that s wrong. You might be able to call me stingy, and that s fine - I wont repine. However, I still feel we should have been informed from the beginning. So I m not saying not to be a patron. I m saying, if you go with a large group, ask to see what you are being charged for BEFORE you pay.

A little confusing. The bakery is accessible after you go through the restaurant. Not enough staff in the cakeland section of the area. Older lady and I had to wait quite a time for a lady to make her cake decoration selections. I was only there for pickup. Cake was a little pricey and well it wasnt as tasty as it was pricey. Im sure the restaurant is better but cakeland section is lacking a bit.

Google recommended this establishment as a bakery more than a cafe, but upon researching, I discovered it is also a diner with a focus on breakfast. Upon entering, we were enthusiastically greeted by the staff and then we were sat by an excellent server who answered our questions. The establishment was clean and well illuminated. We ordered, received what we wanted promptly and our coffee was refilled promptly. The food was excellent in that was not heavy or greasy. Portions were excellent vs. price. However... I could not rate this 5 stars because the music was WAY too loud and the toilet facilities were not on standard with the rest of the establishment. Also, I ordered a pumpkin empanada from the bakery, which was powerfully mediocre, with an unloved pumpkin paste surrounded by a tasteless bread. First time eating at Bolillos North. I ordered the caldo de res and my friend ordered the Pozole verde. The caldo de rez was plentiful and tasty. It had fresh vegetables and lean meat- I think this is why I feel that it needed more beef taste because the meat was too lean. My friend said she liked that it had lots of shredded chicken. She said the green broth had great flavor. The only thing that she didn t like was that it was warm. It could ve been hotter. Ambience was nice& clean. The service was attentive and friendly.

The food is real good...cute place with a great bakery selection...love the coffee and service. Breakfast is available all day and sometimes when their is games going on,we ask the waiter to put on the games and they will change it while we eat. Staff is friendly,hardly have ever had any problems. Few times where the food takes long to get to our table,but only when its super packed.Other than that,no issues. Parking: Good amount of parking space,if none available in the front,there is more in the back.

We visited for brunch on a Saturday, and ordered the Avocado Toast, Chilaquile Tacos, and Barbacoa Plate. It was really busy, but the wait was only about 3 minutes. The staff was also very cool despite the lunch rush. We were briefly served plates that werent ours, but again our correct order was brought over promptly with about 3 minutes. I enjoyed my plate of Barbacoa. It was well served, and the beans were on point. The Barbacoa, egg, and potatoes were a bit bland, but I think this is on purpose so you can salt to your taste. The tables have salt and pepper at the ready. Oh, and the salsa is good without being too spicy. The Chilaquile Tacos were probably the tastiest, but it was a tossup between that and the avocado toast. We ordered the toast for our daughter, and it was loaded with bacon, tomato, and cheese. It was awesome. I think I could order two of those and be satisfied. We paid a little under $40 before tip, so a pretty solid value.

It was our first time and the service was not good, they always welcome you with a noodle soup, thats what the waiter told us, but we should apologize because they had run out and there was no more! And the strange thing was that the other tables that arrived did bring the noodle soup. He never suggested replacing it with anything and we opted for chips which he said they didnt have until we showed him the menu and he said ahhh those! Yes there is, but we are going to charge them, to which we told him that there was no problem, we will charge them, they brought us the wrong drinks, the waiter talking through the headset with someone else when he took our order. That seems terrible and in bad taste to me! Well, I didnt know if he was answering me or someone else. The food took too long. As for the food, the street enchiladas are very good and the super cake is very soaked. I think we left there very disappointed.
