My mom and I came with high expectations because the menu looked delicious and the restaurant in general looked inviting. My mom got the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes which was great, perfectly cooked and flavorful. We also got the Million Dollar Bacon which was tasty but difficult to eat. I got the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict which was very disappointing. Over cooked eggs, icy cold salmon, a ridiculous amount of raw onions, and a flavorless hollandaise sauce. Our server, Maria, was extremely inattentive. She only was there to take our order, deliver us our drinks, and bring us our check and a to-go box for the pancakes at the end. Other servers had to bring us our food and then had to be convinced to take away our giant empty plate from the bacon, which took up most of our very small 2-top table. The food was overpriced and underwhelming, but the terrible service made it all that much worse. Maria did not check on us properly so that I could perhaps send back my overcooked eggs (for example), she only passed by once asking Is everything awesome? without stopping to actually get an answer, and then only returned again to drop of the check. The other food on the menu seemed promising so I may return but definitely not to this location.

The server was considerate and nice. The food was just okay to me, but I d come back and try something else. The only complaint I have is the checkout process they have a barcode on the recipe to do a digital checkout, which is fine, but I wish they offered us a regular check.

1st time visiting , eggs were cooked a little too long , dried out and bacon was burnt, kinda in a hurry , so ate what I could , i ran out of coffee , so I drank my water and waited for a refill which finally happened but late , didnt get to finish the refill. For the price, Id expect better

Lemon Ricotta Lemon Ricotta I can taste the Lemon Ricotta in my sleep, paired with the Blueberry Sauce, wheeww!! First I d like to say the customer service I received from my waitress on both occasions, has been phenomenal. They have Lemon Ricotta pancakes, that come with the lemon ricotta, powdered sugar and strawberries. I do not eat pancakes, but my waitress was more than accommodating with getting those ingredients put on a Belgian Waffle, with a Blueberry Puree kind of sauce on the side. I also ordered the Shishitso Brisket Hash, which wasn t bad but the waffle stole the show! Lastly that Purple Haze drink is simply amazing and refreshing . I have to fight with myself, not to order two Alright alright, I know you all are wondering what went wrong for them to get a four star rating, if everything was amazing thus far. Well you ever heard, one bad apple can spoil the bunch? Everything was amazing up until it was time for me to check out. I went to the front to pay, and as you can probably sense, I was in an amazing mood after that delicious meal. The lady checking me out, attitude was horrible. I understand everyone goes through things and I try to be regularly understanding of that but my goodness, she could have stayed in the kitchen if she was going to be spreading that type of energy. My bill was $70, not including my tip for my waitress (who again was amazing) and I asked if they had military discount. I noticed that the military discount was $2.00 and wanted to double check if it was applied to the entire check or one item. She blankly said it s two dollars for the entire check and when I tried to educate myself on how that works, because this is my first time seeing it like this, she was dismissive. Beggars can t be choosers and I am in no way being ungrateful, but that particular staff put a bad taste in my mouth and made me feel like just take the two dollars and go. Anyways, I hope it was just a one off! - Thursday 08/08, around noon

Excellent and quick service. Get the morning meditation juice, it s a great refreshing way to start your day. Great variety menu with juices, coffees (non dairy options too), drinks. Kids menu too with French toast, eggs, pancakes. There is a lighter fare menu too, which we got the avocado toast.

We go every Sunday for brunch and it s amazing. Food is great and never disappoints. All waiters are super welcoming and friendly. Kid-friendliness: We always sit on booths so my 3 year old has more space to sit/play. Menu is very kid friendly.

My first and last time eating at this restaurant. I placed a to go order. When I went to go pick it up not only did I have to wait 20 minutes from my to go order, but I asked three different workers if they could check on it and all of them acted bothered and annoyed that I was asking them to check on my food that was placed before I went to go pick it up. I dont appreciate them rolling their eyes and acting annoyed because Im just asking them to check on my order. Good grief. Hire new staff. Horrible service.

I just ordered for pick up. I ordered a traditional plate. Which is 2 eggs your style, bacon and seasoned potatoes. I had a feeling I shouldve checked the order when I picked it up, but I was too hungry to do so. I shouldve paid half the price for what I received. Burned seasoned potatoes. So upsetting, when you trust your pick up and its the opposite of what you expect. The pictures say it all.

I got an iced coffee that was so horrible. I had one sip off of it and I was done. It was not taken off my bill. Waitress was just OK. But....the rest of the food we had was darn good. Friend had a scramble, husband had an omelet, we got million dollar bacon and I got the lemon curd strawberry pancakes. One thing that was requested and we were told they didnt have was salsa. Will be back! But will not waste my time and money on that awful iced coffee thing. Yuck!

Worst experience ever. I believe her name is Aryanne. Had to waive several servers down to get what I needed. Not only did she not come check on us but was very rude. She slammed the plates down with an attitude not sure if it was a color thing. A guy with glasses who appeared to be a manager . Was just standing talking to his girl employees. By far one of the worst experiences. Been coming to this location for years now. It s not like it used to be. Manager should pay a little more attention to his restaurant instead of just standing. Food is great that s the only reasons I ll give this place another try.

I have come this First Watch since it opened in McKinney and it has never disappointed me. I know the Manager Rick, always a welcoming smile and very patient and professional. Im sure the issues I faced were mostly Uber Eats fault, but I feel the way First watched handled my order was bad. At around 11Am I ordered a tradition breakfast with ham, and that lavender drink. After waiting over an hour, 2 delivery drivers gave up on my order. Finally with the 3rd delivery driver taking care of my order he had told me, they have given your food away please call the store. I was shocked because the delivery drivers before canceled, and I had not received my food. So I called the store and they said there is nothing we can do, you will have to take it up with uber (in a very polite way, the worker was very nice). Long story short my order was cancelled and supposedly taken. Why couldnt they remake my order and send it with the new driver? Were the delivery drivers before thiefs? Was first watch out of ham? I do not know the answers to any of those question, but I do know that I am sad and hungry.

Now, lets talk about the food. The menu at First Watch boasts some delicious options, and I must say, the dishes lived up to the hype. From hearty breakfast classics to innovative brunch creations, theres something for everyone. However, the service was a bit of a mixed bag. While the staff was friendly, the pace seemed a tad slow. Used to come here frequently and stopped because the vibe was not great. My mom came in town and loves the one in Florida where she lives so I came back and I m so glad I did!! We were greeted by a very nice gentleman whom I had never seen, but I thought might be the manager and he actually continued to host us throughout our experience. First Watch in McKinney is amazing! My family and I have been coming in for years. Ashley has taken care of us many times. We request her when we go and find out she is even helping back in the kitchen! She has a big smile and is very kind. She is engaging with my kids and takes good care of us and others around us. Ashley makes the job look easy, but I fully acknowledge all that it takes to do her job well. Weve also sat with Maria, who is knowledgeable, efficient and kind. This was the 1st time at this location. Visits in an AZ location have been consistently great! This wasnt the case here. The lettuce in the salad wasnt good, and I had to remove about half, which included some of the greens. Im not happy when you have to sift through your salad to remove and get messy. The omlet had something burnt inside, leaving a bad taste in my husbands mouth, ruining the flavor (some bad greens were in his salad also). Apologies and a small compensation were provided. Will not be back to this location.

And they have seasonal specials that are unique and yummy (loved their seasonal donuts and cauliflower breakfast tacos). Yummy iced coffee options and their alcoholic cereal milk. This place is my favorite for brunch! The girls and I love coming for mimosas on Sunday! Shelly our server was super sweet and attentive. I also loved the manager, Juan. He was funny and engaging and recommended the churros which were awesome:)

Ordered the million dollar harvest bowl with poached eggs. Was served fried eggs. Long blonde hair stuck in my roller silverware. Wife ordered the chorizo omelette. The chorizo was minuscule in comparison of the canned chilies added on top and inside of the omelette. Ordered a half waffle for my son which had holes and seemed to be prepped prior to ordering then heated up. Not worth the wait and definitely not worth the money. Either stay home and make breakfast or go elsewhere.

We had another good experience at one of our favorite places to have breakfast in North Texas, First Watch McKinney! Great food and very good service. Shout out to Tiffany for her outstanding service. Warm, friendly and met all our needs. My wife and I were very appreciative. I had the Eggs Benedict with mixed greens. I recommend it! I also had one large blueberry pancake that was delicious! Thanks guys. Keep up the good work.

Went for a Mothers Day brunch and was pleasantly surprised with the service despite how busy they were. The food was fantastic and the waitress was attending to all my needs. My husband and I tried first watch, and we were pleasantly surprised. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The manager made sure guests were satisfied. After a guest left and they were in the parking, their little girl fell. The manager went outside to check on the child and asked if they needed help.

This first watch location is very family oriented, positive vibes only and super fast service. When the great customer service with excellent food every time me and my mother come up to this restaurant location we re served with smiles and wonderful flavor. Today this meal for the kids they had smiles presented on their pancakes and the kids loved it. My favorite dish off of the menu would have to be the biscuits and gravy with turkey sausage and a side of bacon with scrambled eggs. I highly recommend coming to this first watch location and getting a taste of their food hats off to the chefs in the kitchen that throw down back there too. And big props to the waiters who show nothing but hospitality and kindness towards me and my family every time we come to this location.

This is a really neat looking place on the inside. It has a cute and brunchy atmosphere But, unfortunately, the service here is awful and the food is mediocre at best. We waited 10 minutes to get a server and then over 45 minutes to get our food, which they then brought out one plate at a time for a party of 6 people. It was awkward for everyone at the table. The whole meal was cold and my French toast was so over cooked I couldn t cut it with my fork. Our waitress didn t seem to care about refilling our drinks or coming to check on her tables. We were excited to try this place but we have decided this will be a first and last time visit. I don t see this location lasting much longer.
