WHAT HAS MADE SPRING CREEK A FAVORITE DINING DESTINATION SINCE 1980? First and foremost are our delicious barbeque specialties – ribs, brisket, chicken, sausage, pulled pork, ham and turkey. With pits fired up daily at all of our locations, we get up early to hickory-smoke all of your favorites, and our ribs are then chargrilled for extra flavor. We feature a homemade BBQ sauce, made from our own secret recipe, fries and okra cooked to order, fresh salads with homemade dressings, giant loaded baked potatoes and the best home-baked bread you’ll ever taste. We can proudly say that we are still slow smoking after all these years!

First time ordering food from this place, not sure how it is still open. First and foremost Ive wanted to try this place ever since I moved to Texas. Im glad I waited and didnt waste money on it before. I ordered a 3 meat plate, a brisket dinner, and some al a carte options. Lets start with the good? The customer service over the phone was good. I had a question about the delivery order being I couldnt figure something out online and the person answering the phone was super helpful and was great. The bread and the Carolina mustard sauce for the pulled pork were the best two things in the entire order. With as much stuff I got thats already sitting wrong with me. The bread was good warm soft bread. The sauce had a nice vinegar punch and mustard feel with a little spice. It was watery, but it was good. Moving on to the sides. Starting with the beans. Watery, overcooked, under seasoned trash. Lets move to the Mac n cheese. Watery, over cooked pasta, not creamy at all and under seasoned. The potato salad, you remember those store bought tubs have more flavor than this does. Its not terrible potato salad, but those mass produced tubs are better lol. Next side, corn on the cob, Im sitting here expecting a full size corn on the cob, or even half, nope I got the equivalent of 2 corn nuggets from wing stop. The potato I got did look good, but I didnt try it was someone elses. Now lets move on to the meat. Starting with the chicken, I ordered a half chicken. I most certainly got half of something all right. Did you cook Cornish game hens, chopped it in half and called that half a chicken? I got two light meat halves, severely lacking in flavor and smoke, dry with rubbery skin. It was so over cooked the bones disentigrated when I pulled on the wing. Moving on to the sausage, I got half pound of both traditional and black pepper. Both were garbage. No snap, no smoke flavor, nothing special. The black pepper tasted better than the traditional but neither were that good. Moving on to the pulled pork. You would have to give me video evidence of you cooking that on a grill for me to belive it was bbq. You cooked that trash in the oven. Little to no smoke, no bark, watery mush. No flavor unless you drenched it in the Carolina sauce. Even that couldnt save the disappointment. I do pulled pork religiously. That was garbage. The brisket. You definitely had black pepper in your rub. But needed salt. Very little smoke flavor came through. I ordered the marbled and got 2 baby sized pieces of mush. Extremely thin slices. If you were to put a quarter on the table and a slice of that brisket over the top, you would still see the quarter, thats how small of a piece they were. Not length wise but you know what I mean. Now, I didnt want to come at you for this, because it antisocial looked good, but let me tell you right now, looks can be deceiving. The ribs, they looked good but let me tell you. Under seasoned, over cooked, and not properly prepared st Louis style ribs. You couldnt even remove the silver skin before cooking them. Little to no smoke, baked ribs, finished on a grill to char finish is my guess. Over all for the money I spent, I am extremely frustrated. Ive will never get that money back because someone out there, likes this kind of food. No season, mush like this, should not be served to the general public. I know there is a portion of your following that likes that but not for me. Overall, for anyone reading this, if you want bbq, dont get it from here. Unless you want flavorless, hot garbage. You have to make your own mind up on what you order.

I got back to my hotel and realized the rolls were almost flat and very hard. I couldn t even eat them. I bought the peaches and cream and the bowl was not even full. Paid $5.95 for the dessert and didn t even get my money s worth!!! I wasn t going to get back out it the heavy traffic!I m a little ticked that I paid close to $30 today and it wasn t worth it!!!!! If it happens again I ll take my business elsewhere. Do Better Spring Creek in McKinney Tx!! Shame on y all for having people pay good money for nothing!

Ok I have heard about this place, but always rolled my eyes. When we moved here, my husband took me to EVERY smokehouse under the sun. They all tasted the same to me. This place is AWESOME ! The meat is wonderful. I asked for lean and when the teen behind the counter served my plate it wasnt very lean looking to me. They saw my face drop and asked what was wrong? I told them it did not look very lean, so they got out a new brisket. Fixed it and told me if it doesnt look lean to you its not lean. Now that is SERVICE. Atmosphere is TX family BBQ friendly. I would give it a 10 out of 5 if I could.

This is usually a great choice for dinner, but tonight . Not at all. We arrived at 8, a little later than normal dinner time. They gave us cold, untoasted buns for our sandwiches, there was literally almost a serving of macaroni our daughter was served, they were out of Dr. Pepper in the machine and said they weren t refilling the machine, we had to ask for anyone to come give us a roll . To which we still waited 10 more minutes for that. Only the young man cleaning our table as we were leaving was friendly. Literallly the ONLY one that really spoke to us at all! Not the normal experience here. Too much money for this kind of experience.

For $35-40 the meats are at best mediocre, sides are terrible, stuff looks like they all hate their job but are being forced to smile at the point of a gun. Get ready to get up hungry from the table too, portions are so small that by the time you cut off the burned off meat and fat, there is very little left. Its very difficult to spoil the beef, therefore 2 stars but thats a stretch.

We were the only customers eating in dining room everyone else had called in orders. We used to love this place but wouldnt recommend to anyone now.

The barbeque sauce is delicious, too, as are the hot, fresh rolls. The sides are good, too. Prices for meat with two sides (and unlimited rolls) are from about $15-$20. My wife and I stopped in here Sunday evening for an evening dinner. The establishment was completely empty (not a good sign for a restaurant). The first complaint I have is that you should have filters on your water supply for drinks. The water tasted stagnant and that includes as a base for the fountain drinks. The ribs were flavorless and the sides tasted old. We were overwhelmingly unimpressed. Two stars because the staff including a couple of trainees were excellent. This was close to a $50 meal without tip and that is a lot of money to be unimpressed with the food. Parking: Parking around the building, ample but I could see it as an issue with peak times.

Don t order an hour before close because whoever closes doesn t care that 1. Correct items in order are sent & 2. Items are correctly cooked. Just awful quality control.

Used to love Spring Creek but the price has drastically increased and the unlimited side with the dinner plate are no more. I understand that the value of everything has gone up in this economy but the price paid is no longer worth what you get.

Serviced by two young adults who were super respectful, well spoken, engaged in their work - certainly a rare find in staff these days! Good job making a huge impression through your team members. Oh, the food was great also . Loaded potatoes for 6.

My favorite chain BBQ joint. The smoke hits your nostrils as soon as you walk in. Let your nose guide you to the meat counter, grab a tray and utensils and proceed to give your meat order to the individual holding the knife. Post covid you will have to tell the next worker behind the counter which sides you would like. Remember they have baked potatoes as well. Then grab a glass and fill it up with your beverage of choice before paying the cashier at the end of counter.

My husband and I used to love coming here after our experience this past Saturday were done. Way over priced for the quality and quantity of food. Plus my husband and I were both sick after eating. I was charged a double plate when it was a single plate (was fixed eventually). Food was barley warm. Over all bad experience.

Used doordash to schedule a pickup for 11:45, at 10:50. Didn t work at the end. Tried on website. Didnt work. Called, ordered an XL family meal for a birthday party, and more. The beans were hard as a rock, and the macaroni was super dry. I regularly use Spring Creek for events, but will never use spring creek as a food choice for a party again. Update: account manager asked me to email Spring Creek in their response, they did nothing to remedy the situation. At least you guys are consistent.

This was a paid dinner before meeting. I ordered the Brisket sandwich and two sides the beef was tender but not seasoned well however, the sauce made up for it. The sides ordered vegetable and macaroni was undesirable overcooked vegetables and tasteless macaroni if they come up with really good sides to go along with their meats served- I believe they would obtain more customers and business would pick up. Pay someone to prepare your sides that know how to season the food properly and prepare and make it look desirable.

The parking lot was empty besides 1 other vehicle. We should have taken that as a sign. Kinda pricey for the small portion my bf got. Weve had better BBQ. Maybe it was an off day. Food was kinda bland.

I only googled it. Wasnt close to go to Spring Creek BBQ. I wish we were thou. We settled on Dickeys BBQ. I mean it when I said we settled. Next time I will drive out of my way to get to a Spring Creek BBQ. So my review here is from my past experiences there and my most recent experience for the other place is posted on there reviews. No comparison, just go to Spring Creek BBQ to save time and money. Its worth it in the long run.

Its ok, I wasnt super impressed...the peppered sausage was good but pulled pork had odd flavor which was sugary sweet but not even BBQ sauce sweet and ham I ordered was really dry. Most BBQ places have per pound as standard and they do to go but oddly menu has a bunch of meals ,platters , etc that dont tell you how much you get. Ill update if I try again.
