Brandon is an absolutely incredible Host/To-Go worker. He answers the phone professionally and even repeated my order to ensure it was correct. Order was ready sooner than expected, and he called me as soon as it was ready !! Thanks to him we enjoyed our food nice and hot :) Always have a great experience with him. I had a terrible experience with this restaurant when ordering online. Not only did they forget a key item from our order, but when I called to let them know, they acted like I was lying. Instead of apologizing or offering to fix the mistake, they insisted that everything had been packed correctly. I ve never dealt with such poor customer service. Mistakes happen, but refusing to believe your customers and making them feel like they re trying to scam you is unacceptable. I won t be ordering from here again. Manager Jesus Navarro needs to be properly trained to handle these types of situations.

Alex took amazing care of us. I came with my wife, and my mom and it was just a Monday- but we had a BLAST!!! We felt taken care of at a level of care that you dont see anymore. Yes, the rolls were awesome, yes the Franz roll is delicious- this is obvious! But Alex showed care, and made us yearn to return. She offered personal favorites, and kept my guests happy. I love my momma and my wife and my homie Alex added a nice touch. Ill be back asap. Also try the Franz roll. Just do it. Do it.

This was the absolute worst experience. We ordered 2 rolls, one never arrived. We ordered edemames, were so hard and undercooked. I sent them back only to have the same served. We never got the sunomuno salad either. We ordered the entree portion of ebi tempura and instead got the appetizer full of vegetables, even after clarifying that I did not want the appetizer. The Kumori rice was dry and looked like leftovers. I asked the waitress to remove the 2 items we never got and asked to speak to the manager. She said he wouldn t come. This is sad service. It didn t used to be like this. UPDATE: decided to return and give the restaurant a chance again. It was 100% perfect. Alannah R was our server and she was very attentive, got our order perfectly correct and made our visit very enjoyable. I had serious doubts about returning due to the terrible 3 experiences. I am glad I did. Your establishment is fortunate to have her. We noticed your management was new and leadership comes from the top. The nice improvement made our experience enjoyable. Thank you

Terrible experience at Kumori (Nolana location). Multiple items that we ordered were either undercooked or never arrived. I asked to speak to a manager, to which the waitress replied that he was upstairs and probably wouldn t come out to speak to a customer anyway. Also, that he never seems to help the waitstaff should they have a concern and that they are simply told to figure it out . Overall, it will be a long time before we return to this establishment. UPDATE: 5/10/24 - It has been 3 years since my last visit to this restaraunt. After years of frequently dining at Kumori, the last visit here would be our last due to the bad experience. Today, after 3 years of not coming to Kumori, we had the best experience that we had had in a very ling time. The restaurant has been renovated, there js a new manager, and our server Alannah provided the best service that we had ever had at Kumori. She was very attentive and it was obvious that she takes pride jn providing excellent service to the patrons. I would come back. Good service is hard to come by these days and it shouldnt be like that. People dine out to have a good, enjoyable experience. Would recommend giving Kumori another chance! (Nolana location)

Our server alex was very nice and fun. They described the food well and refilled my boyfriends water literally 5 times, cuz he was guzzling it. he didnt even have to ask. They checked back often and cleaned our table throughout. Glad they was our server. Plus the food is amazing. We got an appetizer sampler on happy hour, an angel roll, earth roll. And rice with beef and shrimp. Yummy and they brought all the sauces first so we could dig in as soon as the food arrived. We played a small game at the table that ran a bit after finishing our food and they didnt rush us out the door at all and even asked about it. Perfect date night.

The whole experience was horrendous. Waited an hour for our food to be served while other tables/customers that showed up after us, got theirs before and where out the door while we where still sitting there Other table next to us got the same treatment as we did. I moved from the valley thirteen years ago, and although there are 2 locations here in San Antonio, neither can compare to this location. There are also multiple locations in that area. However, this one is the best always fresh. Always correct and always delicious. Parking: Since there are a few clubs located in this plaza, parking can be difficult. I enjoyed my first visit here at Kumori on Nolana in McAllen, Tx. It was clean, not too busy at 6pm on a Thursday, and the staff was attentive and welcoming. The manager was there and greeted us when we were eating and made sure we had all we needed. We were a party of 3 and ordered an Earth Roll, Rock Shrimp Roll, and the Ebi roll (substituted with no hot or spicy topping). We all agreed our sushi rolls were VERY GOOD! I will go back with my kids so they can try the sushi too.

Sushi was ok, noodles were flavorless. Terrible ordering and pick up experience as well. Called order in, they messed up the soy sauces, and gave us the wrong noodles even tho they read me back my order. Go to pick up, and there s a Dad and Daughter going through their order at the counter reviewing what s missing and wrong with theirs. I see a big bag of food that looks like mine. A man walks up to me and asks if he can help, I said I m picking up food, he asks my name, he looks at the big bag of foods receipt where names aren t printed on, and says let me check the back I wait a few minutes before a woman comes to me and asks me if I need help, I said I think someone s helping me, I m picking up food. She said ok and moved on from me. I m staring at this big bag of food for another few minutes while witnessing another upset customer go through their bag of food with the staff at the counter. I give up and walk up the big bag of food behind the counter that s been sitting there 5-10 minutes and discover that WAS MY FOOD

Were regular clients of this restaurant. Today all tables are dirty. Service staff is list. Food was late. I asked: May I speak to Too, the manager The waitress replied: Hes no longer here THATS THE PROBLEM. Great managers create great restaurants. Terrible managers create terrible restaurants.
