I opted for their signature ramen, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The broth was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of creaminess that made each sip comforting. The noodles were cooked to perfection firm yet tender and the toppings were fresh and generous. I could easily tell that each ingredient was carefully selected to create a harmonious blend of taste and texture. In addition to the ramen, the edamame was a delightful appetizer that set the tone for the meal. It was perfectly steamed and lightly salted, making it an excellent complement to the main dish. I could have easily devoured multiple servings! What truly elevated the experience, however, was our server, Brian. He was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. He offered great recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was seamless. His passion for the food really shone through, making our visit even more enjoyable. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I ordered kimchi, chicken ramen, and a Sunonomo salad. The people I was dining with ordered chicken ramen, chicken wings, fries and some salmon salad thing. I will say, the fries were crispy and good, and the wings were cooked nicely and had a good flavor. But the ramen is a completely different story. It absolutely reeked when it got to our table. Smelled rotten, noodles were incredibly chewy and I got pork in my chicken ramen. The other person I was dining with (who also ordered chicken ramen) did not get any pork. When asking the waiter, they said that all bowls come with pork regardless of what option you choose. (Then why even have an option at that point?) I also found a hair in the Sunonomo salad, thankfully though, the restaurant was nice enough to remove it from the tab. The salmon salad only tasted of toasted sesame oil. I wouldn t recommend going here for anything other than the wings and fries, the ramen was absolutely horrible, ( the closest thing I can describe the smell as would probably be cat piss.) kimchi tasted incredibly sour, unlike any I ve ever had before. Manager offered a free dessert, but we were already grossed out and declined. You re honestly better off buying some 90 cent ramen pack at walmart than pay 15 for a bowl here. They had cool chopstick packaging though.

waited 10ish minutes for a table for 4 on a Saturday at 3pm. Ordered the kimchi fries as an appetizer & LOVED THEM! 4+ people can eat from them or it could even be eaten as the entree. Ordered the yasuke ramen with miso broth, katsu chicken, & no egg. Overall did not like the chicken or soup in general :/ would not order that again. cool vibes & would like to retry at night to sit outdoors

We initially called to ask if reservations could be done over the phone for a birthday lunch (over 20 individuals), but we were informed that it was on a walk-in basis. We arrived before the lunch traffic anf they were very accommodating of the party. The issues started with the food. As a party, the hope is for everyone to eat together or close to it, but all the meals were being brought out randomly with a big time difference in between them. An order that had been placed at the very beginning had to be canceled after it had been over an hour and most individuals were already done eating. Another individual had to take the meal to go because of how late it was provided (the restaurant did comp the meal). Individuals were not being checked on for refills. When utensils and salsa/condiments were asked for, they took forever to provide them which caused for the food of some individuals to be cold. Checks took forever to be provided, and some were even provided after most of the individuals had already left.

So I don t usually do these but OMG! LOVED THIS PLACE! Norma did a great job with the service and the atmosphere is just so chill and vibey. We got the beef ramen with spicy broth(Yasuke ramen beef with spicy broth) , the dumplings(GYOZA) and the cheese shrimp (ebi yasuke) and it was so good! I 10/10 recommend and will come again!

Never had Yasuke before and i had heard so many good things about the ramen and the restaurant itself, come to my surprise my expectations were only half met. I had the pork ramen with pork katsu, the gyoza, and the fried calamari. The calamari was chewy and the breading on it was terrible, it fell off with me just touching it and barely putting any force onto it. The pork ramen was a poor experience as well. The pork was bland with no flavor and the katsu was too. The noodles and broth were a let down as well, i was expecting a rich miso flavor but ended up disappointed with how flavorless it was. The noddles themselves just tasted cheap and had a unfamiliar and not welcomed aftertaste to them. The egg wasnt done in a way you would expect on a ramen, it was a pooched egg opposed to the more traditional marinated soft boiled egg the is seen with the ramen. Lastly the only good thing i had that evening was the gyoza, easy to mess up making them in my opinion but they were just amazing here. Overall my only disappointment was with the food itself, the actual atmosphere was 10/10 and the bar area was just a chefs kiss.

We just left from this place because we had the most ridiculous experience. So we walked in and asked for a table, we were told there was a 25 minute wait, when we tried to get a drink at the bar, we were told we couldn t wait at the bar. Which we though was strange but we said ok after that we figured we d grab a drink and stand.. well a waitress came over and again questioned us and asked if we could wait that our table would be ready shortly. We informed her we wanted a table outside and very rudely she told us that if we got a table outside and later we changed our mind and wanted to come inside, we wouldn t be able to. Over priced half processed food. The ramen came in large portions, but it tastes exactly like the prepackaged Korean brand refrigerated ramen sold at Costco, with the two pieces of old old pork that comes with every bowl of ramen. I also chose the grilled pork, which tasted exactly like the pre-marinated chicken fajita sold at HEB. We also got the tako balls, a bit too doughy and not crispy enough, but it was okay. The only highlight of the meal were the grilled shishito peppers. As it was also a bar, everything was super loud. So not really ideal for family gathering or dates. Would not recommend.

On Friday night, I celebrated my birthday at Ramen and Bar with friends, and it was an unforgettable experience. The food was fantastic, with each dish surpassing our expectations. Hubby and I went here for lunch. Outside you will not think it s a ramen place as it just says BEER DRINK FOOD. However there is also a sign that says Yasuke Ramen Bar. I ordered the Ramen in Miso soup with grilled pork (mild), while my husband ordered the spicy ramen with grilled pork as well; and we had gyoza for an appetizer. The gyoza was good. It has a good flavor and the dipping sauce was good as well. The ramen, however, was another story. I didn t like the ramen, The noodles was too firm for my taste, but more importantly, the soup does not have that robust flavor that is distinct with ramen, especially in a miso soup. I have tasted better ramen from another place in edinburg, where the ramen tasted close to the ramen I ve had in Japan. The grilled pork does not appear to be grilled. The pork meat was lean and cut in thick pieces which I haven t seen in a ramen bowl ever; plus there were meat pieces that tasted like roasted pork (similar to Filipino lechon). I was just not happy with my ramen at all. The place has a bar and serves beer. My husband had the beer called dragon s milk, which I tasted and liked. It s like a righ dark beer that tasted like coffee and chocolate in one; hubby says it tastes like Guinness beer. I had sweet iced tea, which tasted like brewed tea with some sweetener which I liked. I will not come here again. You can try it for yourself though, but I don t recommend this lace for ramen bowls. Parking: There is ample and safe parking for customers.

Probably the best Ramen place that you can find in the valley. I just got the Ramen with chicken and that hit really good. I cant recommend anything else but that but overall great service nice and clean waiting time was 30min but it was worth it in the end had great time with friends so overall great experience.

I think overall the place is amazing, it has great costumer service and a great atmosphere. However, when it comes to looking for an authentic Asian cuisine the place falls a little too short. The dishes taste good and there is no doubt that the ingredients are fresh, but is just does not hold the authentic flavor of an Asian dish.

Possibly one of the best ramen spots in McAllen! Definitely try their gyoza and their spicy edamame. So good! Their shoyu ramen is pretty good as well. The noodles and the pork belly were my favorite of the ramen. Tried their grilled pork, but I wasn t too big of a fan. The beef and shrimp were amazing though.

I LOVED this place. I ve been trying to find some good ramen, and this place has been the best so far. The waiter we had at was very kind and attentive. The atmosphere was enjoyable and all the staff were friendly. I also do not like kimchi, but the waiter suggested the kimchi fries and they were so delicious! Loved coming to the place because of the great food and because they would show anime on the TV s. Came today and was told the owner is trying to turn it into a sports bar. If I wanted to watch sports I would just go to Twin Peaks or Ojos Locos. I come to Yasuke to enjoy some good food and watch anime while doing so. This will probably be the last time coming here if they re going to turn it into a sports bar, completely ruining the vibe they had when they first opened up.
