I ordered a lamb barbacoa and a al pastor taco. The lamb barbacoa was nice and what youd expect from a barbacoa taco. While I do love me some lamb, I would still prefer beef in the long term. The Mrs. ordered a lamb barbacoa as well, though, she did find a few bones in her taco. That can be dangerous and I would of liked if the owners cautioned us of such a possibility for safety reasons. No Texan welcomes a foreign object in their taco. The al pastor taco was satisfying, and their flour tortillas were good. The outdoor vibe was nice and the areas were well kept. 4.3/5

This place used to be amazing. They had the best roasted black habanero salsa! Loved it. The salsas used to be pump yourself . Then one day you had to ask for them . Then once I asked for a second black hot sauce and I was rudely told no . It made me chuckle but was pretty rude. Especially when you re paying over $4.50 for a taco . Then they got stingier with all of their sauces and their service got more and more rude. Now they don t even have a black salsa and the quality of their tacos has gone way downhill while the service continues to be incredibly rude. My friend thought it was a completely different taco truck lol! From one of the great tacos in town to They totally suck now. We don t go to any of their trailers anymore. There are just soooo many better places that are happy to cook for you and share a great experience .

This place used to be heaven on Earth. I would talk about how good this place was no matter what corner of the continent I was in. Now! On June 30th 2024, this place is MID. Not worth driving all the way out here. I paid 17 bucks for a mid food that was also shrunk massively in proportions. The chips even used to taste amazing, now they are mid. Just another white washing boring food truck that I would only go to if it s convenient. Not worth driving all the way to.

This used to be my favorite taco truck in Austin, but the meal I just had was way below the usual standard. I got a taco plate with two veg tacos because I m plant-based. The rice was super dry and tasted like chicken stock. The guac was spoiled and the veggies in the taco weren t cooked and still kinda raw Last time I ordered wasn t that bad but still dissatisfying. Might try again if I m ever at Cosmic, but would not recommend and definitely don t recommend for vegan or plant-based.

Was very excited to check out the truck located at the Cosmic Coffee beer garden location on Saturday. The service was quick but still had time to talk me through some menu items. We ended out ordering 2 x Carne Asada tacos and a Fish taco to share. The food here is delicious and full of flavour. Would definitely recommend as the location also adds to the experience. Went to this food truck in the cosmic coffee food truck area. I got the chilaquiles, which were tasty I wish they had asked me how I wanted my egg. It was a little to over easy for me. If I had known I would have asked for no coquita but thats a personal preference. I appreciated the fresh papas but do wish they were smaller pieces. Possibly would have helped flavor wise possibly more sauce per bite. Overall very tasty chips stayed nice and crunchy throughout. Atmosphere is great!! Went on a Sunday not too crowded but may have been because it was a little chilly. Hot tip: watch where you are sitting. Came back with two bird poop spots on my bum! Vegetarian options: Chilaquiles

Dont trust the 5 star reviews. Food is mid at best and also graded on a curve (mostly white people like myself giving raving reviews lol) You get rewarded with a gift card for reviewing, which is definitely a buff on ratings. Service isnt bad, but price is crazy for what you get. 5$ a taco with basic ingredients and half full is wild considering you could order from Vera Cruz and get much better tacos for less. Order with caution, youre definitely overpaying.

Unfortunately dry dry dry and lacking in flavor. Had 2 pastor and 1 barbocoa tacos. Started with a pastor, so dry I could hardly swallow it. A couple diced onion pieces and a leaf or 2 of cilantro......pretty lacking. Switched to the barbocoa figuring braised lamb couldnt be dry, I was wrong. Same as the pastor, very lacking, no seasoning. Only 1 dry tortilla per taco. Got the Napolitos, just plain lame. The black beans were not black beans, looked like white beans, maybe pinto but I dont think so. Its a shame, the potential was there but it doesnt appear the cooks do any quality control as this is easy to fix. Plenty of good tacos in Austin, its not that tough, Ill go elsewhere next time. Bummer

The food was OK/unremarkable. The only reason Im even writing this review is because the woman behind the counter kept calling me matt even after I corrected her twice: my name is matthew, not matt. Nick Offerman has a bit about how he sometimes calls people by the wrong name just to let them know were not chummy and frankly I cant think why else this woman would continue to call me by not-my-name, even after being corrected twice in 2 minutes. Cmon people if youre going to go through the effort of asking someone their name, use it. Dont insult me by calling me the wrong name.

Corn tortillas sliced thin and crisped to perfection. Fried egg topped with salsa Verde for heat and quest fresco all over everything. Potoates cooked in a tasty red sauce and refined beans to round it all out. Absolutely delicious and satisfying. Disappointed, like everything else in this city the quality is starting to slack. Still great food, but for instance they stopped making the quesadilla taco how they used to. Literally a quesadilla then fold it in half with taco fixings they stopped doing that. Now it s just a taco. Thought it was a fluke, but a friend had the same thing happen. Also just they re not orderly and look overwhelmed which you can t really blame them for but can see the quality of it things start to diminish. Food is still really good.

Really enjoyed the tacos at this place. The marinated pastor taco was my fav. Great flavor and love the choice of dips! The ambience is great too! Will definitely revisit.

Awful While being served my meal half of it fell on the food truck table due to the server handing it over to me who dumped it over and didn t say she was sorry or offer to replenish it. I had to tell her I wouldn t be eating what fell off the plate before she would pick it up and remove it. Weird customer service. Weird no real response. I just don t get it.

I had two tacos with cheese, bacon and egg. Worst tacos I ve ever had. I ordered online and I didn t forget to request salsa. I got to the window and asked if the salsa was in the bag and she said very rudely if I requested it that it was in there. I get seated outside, get the kids all situated, so my turn to get my food and of course there s no salsa. I had to pack up the kid s food (toddlers, couldn t just leave them) just so I could go back to ask for salsa. I got to the window and asked for salsa and the lady hands me one, after I asked for four. I was like can I have one for each taco we ordered. I won t be coming back. I really wanted to like this place, but due to the rude behave and flavorless food, that s a no for me.

It took 1.5 HOURS to get my 2 tacos, had to go back to the window twice to ask about the order (which they lost), and to be honest...they were mediocre tacos at best. And overpriced. There are literally at least 3 other taco trucks within a couple of miles that have better food, cost less, and are easier to get to. I definitely wont be eating there again.

I got home with my to-go order and immediately saw they d made several mistakes on my order. I was all ready to fire off a bad review. Then I bit into my chicharron taco. Well, let me tell you, not fully redeemed, but it was so good. That taco alone deserves 5 stars. Service 2 stars. The lamb barbacoa sounded like a good idea, but it did not taste as good as I would have hoped. I d like to see their process improved for online order pick up, and they should clearly read the order (flour or corn tortilla matters to my friend who doesn t eat gluten) and then verify. I ll be back for another try and hope the service is better.

Food was okay but serious lack of customer service. Even when our food was delayed and we nicely inquired about it, the guy acted very annoyed just to find our food had been sitting there the whole time. Then, we had to go back to the window because we didnt get any salsas with our order. Same rude and unwelcoming treatment - I wouldnt recommend this place to others.

Terrible, unbelievably offensive workers. My order was WRONG and they ARGUED WITH ME about it?!? I received the wrong order, understandable, but when I approached the truck to return the burrito and get the quesadilla I ordered, the guy working had the audacity to tell me that I didn t I fact order the quesadilla I ordered, that I had actually ordered some burrito thing. I continued to try and explain, but he insisted that I had ordered it. Like, bro, I think I remember what I ordered literally 10 minutes ago. So frustrating. Will never return and I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone unless you want your day and your mood to be RUINED!

The food was good but the person handling the orders was rude and unwelcoming. He was struggling managing orders and did not seem to cater to common requests like extra sauce. If you want some order customization or are fans of taco sauces, I would go somewhere else.
