The worst breakfast I have ever had. My daughter s food was drenched in hot sauce making it inedible. She couldn t even take more than three bites. Even after we commented to the waitress she asked the owner and he was unwilling to try and make this right. There was no offer for a discount, a remake, or even different food. The owner, who was present, didn t even come to apologize or make any comment. 2 breakfast plates, coffee, juice and 1 biscuit was over $30 . Not worth it.

Great service. All I had was a pancake and it was cooked just right. Tried the migas locas and they were delicious! Vegetarian options: I had the Migas Locas and all they are is corn tortilla cut in small pieces with, egg , onions, tomato and cheese. Absolutely awesome!

Ordered 2 tacos, one flour with bacon, egg and potato, other one was Mexican barbacoa on corn. The egg bacon taco tasted odd, something in it tasted spoiled, yuck. The barbacoa taco was brought on flour. I reminded the waitress that I had asked for corn. She brought me another tortilla and it was also flour. We called her again and she finally brought the corn after waiting for a while. Told the owner and he brushed it off by saying, well guess this is your first and last time here. Most definitely! .

Paid $13+ for a torta. Did NOT come with cheese (that s an extra charge) or vegetables (not available) basically just meat on bread. Their response was that s just how it comes so deal with it. To say it was a rip-off would be an understatement. This restaurant is complete trash. Puro Basura. No reason to go here when there are other excellent Mexican restaurants nearby. Avoid this place at all costs!

Our first and last time visiting this restaurant, terrible service. My husband ordered divorced eggs which arrived with sauces. When we asked the waitress she said they were the same sauces on the table that we could add ourselves. We had wasted extra bacon they didnt bring it to the table. Fatal... Thats not all. At the time of paying, the owner or manager of the place was the one who charged half an amount, he gave him my card to pay, he returned it to me, throwing it at me very rudely and when he gave me the Boucher to sign was more the amount when I asked him why it was more he said that they charge an extra fee for paying by card. If you pay cash it was better. Well, they should put an ad/ I dont recommend this place at all

This 4th of July and we were blessed to find Sombrero restaurant OPEN for business on Jackson/Ridge Road in McAllen. We were a party of four; my wife, her sister, my brother law and I. We weren t actually sure about this restaurant because none of us had been there before. Thank GOD our experience turned out to be a good one. Overall the restaurant was clean, the staff and our waitress was helpful, friendly, and attentive. Each plate was freshly cooked to our satisfaction (see attached photos). We were all in agreement that the prices were satisfying to say the least. Today, Sombrero s fulfilled our expectations and for that reason we plan to return. It was so good, I felt it was only right to take time to endorse Sombrero s Restaurant and celebrate the good food that was served. Honestly, I won t rate a bad experience because I don t believe in bringing a business down by bad mouthing them. I prefer in that case to address my complaint directly with the manager so any problem I experience can be corrected on the spot. The world is full of bad news, we choose to celebrate the good. Thank you to all the Sombrero restaurant staff and owner and May God continue to bless and prosper your restaurant.

The breakfast here was not really good, the huevos rancheros were disappointing. The huevos rancheros were not so good, for 5.99 you get 2 eggs, refried beans and potatoes (the bacon was extra). The huevos rancheros were cooked over medium but they gave me one with the yolk *popped*, the salsa for eggs was terrible, it had no flavor and not a good appearance, the potatoes were cold and flavorless not made to order, the refried beans were actually pretty delicious& the bacon was small just okay it didnt taste bad. The flour tortillas were not to much to my liking and the corn tortillas needed more salt. Overall not a place i would visit in a long time as i didnt like their breakfast.

No kindness! I am currently sick from COVID and my husband and child went to go get the food. Well the botana was a disaster! They put more onions, green peppers and more grilled onions on the botana than beans nor cheese. My kids didn t like the botana because they put soo many grilled onions, tomato, green peppers and more onions on top! The manager/ owner said they couldn t do 1 new botana because she said it was cooked perfectly. That wasn t the case. The 42$ botanas were over cooked and the tomato as well so it tasted a bit burned. What kind of person doesn t think that the customer was right if we wasted our time and money just to be told no we can t make another botana because it s perfect and it wasn t! I am so disappointed and sad because these My Sombrero owners have no heart! Please if something has happened to you please post! I can t believe it!

The parillada for 4 was too small, Zamora restaurant is way better food than this. They ripped us with this order. The mollejas was all crumbs. The ribs are all bones. The fajitas are only few slices. It s not enough for 4 people. This is my first and last order from your restaurant. No service recovery at all.
