If I could leave a negative star review, I would. We bought tickets to a concert for Thursday Sept 19th ... Spent almost an hour trying to park, being told after that hour by two different valet guys to just go find our own spot. Again, after an hour of waiting in the line to park. We gave up. And of course now I am super pissed because not only did I waste time and money, but now the hubby and I are fighting because of the whole situation. Not cool dosey doe.

It is an excellent place. Unique concept to enjoy live music, food and drinks in one place . You dont have to run from the hall to the restaurant. It is not a restaurant, it is a concert venue with food/drinks serving. It has a very good sound system, environment, service and food.

Owner informed the audience not to stand or hold phones above their heads. He blamed the entertainer for encouraging this women and her friend after the show. Dosey Doe did not enforce the rules. So, this was my view for most of the show. I didn t buy a ticket to watch the backside of a rude person. I won t be back. BTW .. No bread available for the BBQ plate for my husband.

My husband and I came in a couple a few weeks ago to see a band we really like, Mike and the moon pies, and we were very disappointed. They were doing a podcast and no one bothered to tell us about the podcast and it was soooo boring we left after one drink. What a waste of time and money. That will be our last time to dosey does. Trust me. I haven t posted this earlier because of private matters . I would love a refund. We don t go out that often and we re just so shocked , we were told we had to be quiet not the person sitting next to us. I m at a concert a have to be quiet. That s when we walked out!!!!

Been coming to Dosey Doe for many years. It is ALWAYS a splendid evening. The entertainment top notch. The acoustics are excellent. The menu has something for everyone. How they consistently deliver good food, desserts and drinks to so many arriving at different times is always puzzling to me. We had lattes after our dinner. They were great! Gene Watson was as good or better than ever last night. Hope to return for The Gatlin Brothers in November.

We have been there at least half a dozen times in the past few years. First off, the food is great. Its worth the price of adding it to your tickets. My favorite is the chick fried steak but the pork loin is also good. But the real reason to go is the sound. The place is amazing. There are no bad seats, everyone is close. Great acoustics are the saving grace of this venue. Seating is elbow to elbow, very crowded. If you suffer from claustrophobia, you might want to consider a seat on the 2nd level or in the back of the room. Also, this is a listening room, so theres quite a few reminders to sit down and be quiet. No dancing allowed; not that there would be enough room to dance anyway. Very ironic given the name. I come here to support local music, but it is definitely not fan friendly.

Frist time visiting. Great atmosphere, bands are fantastic, staff is nice and helpful. Food is good, we shared a ginormous chicken fried chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes. Drinks are good. The crowd is chill, no crazy stuff, you have a table so you can sit through the entire time and enjoy the music. More of an older crowd so everything is great everyone is respectful. Restrooms are clean, very well organized. Parking Attendants guide you very well, we took a flashlight so we can see were we were stepping as it had rained. Great place to listen to music and enjoy a meal and drinks.

We came in to see Hamilton Loomis last week, and from the walls, Id say theyve had nearly everyone in country and folk play there going back many decades. The acoustics in this place are wild. Its a very intimate setting where no one is more than 40 feet from the stage. Its family style seating on long tables. The menu is a pretty small focused menu. Its decent enough, but not why people go. It is absolutely worth a visit just for the experience. Its run a little oddly. Parking is messy, so you want to be a little early but too early because they wont let you in till the posted door time... which creates a long, frustrated line of attendees. They also strongly disapprove of table talk once the show starts, which I found less an issue than see a manager jumping around policing conversation. Still though its quite a thing to be there, and I forgive all their eccentricities once the show begins.

Food is decent, nothing special. Its a little overpriced for what it is food wise. Not a lot of options for food and no real option to change sides so youre pretty much stuck with their limited selection. No bread or anything as a starter. Wait staff was good, refilled our drinks without having to be asked. As for the venue... its perfectly fine. Most of the seats are pretty good but there are some bad spots that arent comfortable to see the stage. Behind the stage up stairs isnt great, would say most of the downstairs seating is good. Overall would go back again.

I love this venue for live music. Theres not a bad seat in the house, it feels really intimate, and the sound is great. I prefer to stand upstairs so I can easily dance. Its a bit too cramped for dancing downstairs. Ive never eaten here, so I cant speak to the food but the menu is limited. The bathrooms are small (2 toilets for women) but pretty clean. The back parking lot isnt ideal - the gravel is deep in some places, shallow in others, and it doesnt drain well after rain. I think it would be hard to navigate if you were in a wheelchair or on crutches.

Went to see Spyro Gyra a few weeks ago and unfortunately got sat next to the most horribly egregious, crazy, drunk and drug induced family I have ever encountered. Loud, drunk obnoxious, and worst of all complete pigs at dinner. After about 20 mins into the show the manager politely and discreetly moved us to a different table without us asking or even blinking an eye. He, they(entire staff) were fantastic...after about 45 mins into the show, they asked that table to pay their bill and leave...it was outstanding. I have been here 5 or 6 times and thought this was going to be the worst experience ever. Turned out to be great thanks to the manager, waitress and staff....Kudos to a place that doesnt put up with disorderly, entitled idiots. Will be back again soon.

My husband & I came from Dallas to see Spyro Gyra on 9/30. Band was good. Food was cold. Service sucked. Two Very Drunk people were allowed in. They sat at a table in front of us with 2 others in their party (at an 8 top table). They were served more alcohol, took selfies, yelled at each other, and ate dinner with their hands. Other patrons demanded to be moved away from them, including us....A constant disruption. Security & our waitress were constantly telling them to be quiet, while ignoring their tables. After so many people complained, for over an hour, they were finally told to leave by the manager. Paying $300 for tickets, plus $$ for a hotel, gas, and 8 hours driving to & from? Only to get a half-hearted Sorry for the chaos from our waitress?? There are too many concert venues out there that really want peoples business. I dont know if we will ever go back...

I have not been in The Big Barn in several years. The comedienne was very funny. The routine was most assuredly slanted toward the female audience but it was funny for everyone. The food was just so-so. I had the pork loin that was dry and mostly bland. The mashed potatoes were a bit watery and ordinary. The highlight was the bread pudding. Very tasty. Go for the entertainment, not the food.

Venue is a cool setting but not accessible to anyone with mobility issues. Parking is a good distance from the entrance and consists of large loose gravel making it impossible for scooters or wheelchairs to navigate. This was my first visit to Dosey Doe - Big Barn and I came to see one of my favorite artists of all time, Maggie Rose! All I can say, is the venue is AMAZING! Not only is there not a bad seat in the house, but the place is built with the most beautiful, reclaimed beams and planks! Im a carpenter specializing in custom rustic furniture and design, so this was definitely a sight to behold! The acoustics are PERFECT!! I will definitely be a regular customer from now on! (OH, and Maggie Rose is FANTASTIC, AWESOME, AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, SWEET, AND VERY PERSONABLE!!!)

Went last night, don t waist your money on eating the food. It was mediocre at best. Even had dessert, a brownie that was served cold and had whip cream from a can on top! The music sound quality was good and seats on second floor were great. However, it was about 80 degrees in there all during the show. We were sweating and everyone was fanning themselves to try to stay cool. A disappointing experience for sure, don t know that we would go back again.

We were there for a high school graduation party and it was great. They had a DJ and the music was good. I can guess that the sound of a live band would be even better. A ton of famous acts have played there. Im planning my next visit already!!

This place is a great place to see a band and eat dinner. The building is an old Tobacco barn from Tennessee that the owner has disassembled, transported and rebuilt here in Houston. The food was really good. The Chief is a 5 star chief and the menu is typically limited to only 4 or 5 meals. This means they come out hot and fresh since the kitchen staff only need to focus on the 4 main dishes. Highly suggest you and friends take in a concert and enjoy a nice meal.

If youre going to charge $13 for a mixed drink, I should get a slight buzz off said drink. Very watered down with too much ice. Upstairs acoustics are way too loud with the speakers blasting in your ear, do yourself a favor and sit downstairs.

It s been over a decade since I ve been and IT S EVEN BETTER than I remember. 2 full levels for dining and music venue seating, plus a 3rd story birds nest. It s awesome and the lineups are epic. Great food, service is excellent, and music doesn t disappoint. DO IT! DOE it

Went there to support Brad Davis....food did not match the prices charged....had a brownie for dessert....it was so hard I couldnt hardly cut it.....cold as ice....like it was in a freezer....couple next to us ordered a piece of cheesecake to share....the slice wasnt even enough for one of them ....$10 cheesecake sliver ......not going back.

Doesy Doe out did them selves last night. My husband has lots of allergies so he eats a plant based diet and Dosey Doe came through and they said with notice they can take of it. So vegans or plant base people, dont shy away from Doesy Doe, because they can handle it. Thank You, well be back. By the way Josh Weathers put on a Great show, we had never seen him. Now were fans!

Everything about my first experience here was amazing. We lucked out and had Shelby, she was prompt, pleasant, informative, knowledgeable and helpful the WHOLE time. The chicken fried steak she recommended was one of the best I have ever had. Even when we went on an adventure she was able to recognize us immediately and continue perfect service. I will 100% be back for her alone!!
