Areisy checked us in and she was so friendly. Went up to the room. It a was spacious and comfortable. Went back downstairs and Areisy was now working at the bar. She was great. We ordered dinner and John the cook made great salmon and he was also very friendly. Definitely would stay here again and recommend it to friends and colleagues.

The bed had the itches dirtiest sheets in it coated with stains and hair my whole body felt itchy and very uncomfortable. Tub was clogged with god knows what and smelled like pure wet mold. They charge extra for WiFi as well. Construction all over the entry had to take the long way route to get here.

Stayed for hubby to do some work in the area, I tagged along to see some new places. I was able to use and enjoy the pool (the only hotel in a 2 week span that I felt had a non scary color of water so kudos to you guys). Room was fine, bed of comfy. Did not use the resteraunt at all so I can not comment on that. Overall our stay was good and the facilities were what we needed.

I spend about 2 weeks per month traveling for work. While my room was clean, it was in need of an update and was not up to the standard I usually expect from the Garden Inn price point. There were tears in the blackout curtain, stains in the bathtub, and the furniture generally looked worn. There weren t extra bedside outlets for chargers I needed to unplug the lamp or the alarm clock. That said, cleanliness and quiet are the main priorities for me, and it met those standards. The lobby is very pretty and looks like it s been updated. Breakfast was not complimentary but not overly expensive and tasted delicious. I didn t get his name, but the man who took orders and served the food both mornings I was there was very friendly and provided excellent service. Parking is free and felt safe. There are a few restaurants in walking distance, including Poncho s right next door, which is great.

My and my husbands experiences was quite pleasant. Enjoyed the food very much. Props to the morning chef. It was delicious. Staff is super friendly. Mr. Hector was very friendly. The customer service is the best of this location, everybody there is wonderful. The breakfast is not complimentary but believe me, is made as you want for Maria magic hands (6am-10am). Shuttle service, excellent!! If you dont feel comfortable with your room, say it!! front desk is always open to help the best way for your confort. Is not new but is clean.

Place was terrible..very beneath the Hilton garden inn name and typical standards.. the rooms are very outdated but worse of all, the staff had zero sense of security for guests, I walked in and kept being stared at by an odd man hanging at the desk..I whispered my last name to the clerk to get an extra key card, he had not seen me at all as I had done mobile ck in, he never asked me for any ID whatsoever..and gave me a.key..repeating my last name.and room # out loud..the man ended up following me out to my car, freaked my kids out..and now we knew anyone could walk in, repeat a name and get a key!!

I regretted staying here. The staff was very nice the hotel was nice. The first room smelled really bad. The second room, the thermostat, didnt work. But my issue was the bed. I have always chosen Hilton because beds and pillows are comfy but not here. We left a day early because the beds and pillows were so terrible we would have rather drive 5 hours home than stay another night. But the staff and housekeepers were so nice that I couldnt give anything less than a 4-star review. Kindness goes a long way with me.

Average hotel. The customer service was average and the rooms were average. The swimming pool was below average though. The size of the swimming pool is small and it was dirty. They had this company speaker playing music very loud the entire time. I was not able to carry on a conversation. Elevators were also dirty, nothing major but below expectations. The rooms are nice but nothing out of the ordinary. I recommend it based on location near mall, hospitals, and expressway. Besides location, you can find something better, honestly.

Hilton reward member, I didn t experience or see any benefits. Check in was dismal, no welcome, no warm cookies, no bottled water, nothing. No explanation of anything, gym, laundry room, business center, nothing. Staying for a week here. No complimentary breakfast, no social hour, no complimentary beer or wine, side door near room not operational. Requested upgrade, will be $20 + per night. Digital key never worked, even maid couldn t get it to work. Door hangers were useless, every time you open or close door, they would fall. Room was clean n comfortable. TV selection was blah. No Netflix, no Hulu, no casting, no Amazon. AC was spotty, would get real warm before AC would kick in. Bathroom shower had poor pressure and no HOT water, rather just warm. Wifi would constantly kick me off and super slow. 5G was quicker and more reliable. Staff was friendly though. I received a few chocolate pieces in room at check in. I was craving sweets a couple days later, asked front desk for some chocolate treats; was advised it was for Diamond members only but was given 3 pieces, so generous indeed. Breakfast staff was incredible and spot on for quality customer service. Don t think I ll be staying here next time, there are to many choices with better amenities included.

I stay in Hilton hotels all the time and this was by far the worst one I have ever stayed at, it was very dirty the entire 4th floor had trash all over the hallway and the rooms are very dated. When I took a shower the knob came off I had to rig it up just to shower, Their restaurant is only open 3 days a week not a very convenient thing for weekend guests. Overall the worst Hilton Ive been to, I only gave 2 stars because the front desk employee was nice

Very friendly staff. Ample parking without security, only the cameras of the place that in that location are few. Medium size pool. Clean room, bathroom 4 out of 5 because it had traces of fungus, I tend to be very neat. Very comfortable beds, pay TV. Very warm in general!

This wasnt a bad hotel experience, but there was room for improvement. Some of the negatives: -Some of the facilities seems older and outdated, such as the tub drain that took a decent amount of work to open up. -There were small cracks in the paint and stains on the carpet. -When I arrived in my room, I had to manually pull the mini-fridge out from the cabinet to plug it into the wall. -Every ice machine in the hotel was out of order On the other hand, some of the positives: -Fairly clean and comfortable room -Pleasant staff, including the front desk, the bar, and housekeeping. -Solid internet -Good location if youre visiting the area. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, but I dont think it should be a #1 pick. Instead, I think it serves as a perfect backup option.

Completely dissatisfied. I have stayed many times with the Hilton , with my service dog Angus. However this time, I came around the corner @ the same time as one of there workers wearing all black & his COVID mask on. My dog barked @ him & kept barking. I was about ten steps from my room. I made Angus sit & waited for the guy to pass. However he decided to go the other way. I get back to my room & the phone rings. We were asked to leave. Feeling disrespected, disappointed, irritated & Sad . Just wanted everyone else to know.

Nice rooms and amenities. Well cared for. Staff was super awesome! We booked one night and the next day needed a late check out to address business. Then, we suddenly needed to stay two additional nights but the suite we were in had already booked so they gave us a room right across the hall so moving over would be easy. We had need to interact with the desk staff who were great! Brianna, the bartender, was super friendly and crafted special drinks for us, then recommended a great place for dinner. We needed to use the laundry room since we hadnt planned for 3 nights and were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary laundry soap and dryer sheets in a super clean laundry room. Then, circumstances required us to need another late check out and they were quick to accommodate. Great Job Hilton Garden Inn, McAllen!

Comfortable clean rooms but for the price, bigger beds would be nice. All the faucets were loose from fixtures, missing wall frames with metal brackets exposed caused minor injury to my child. Have stayed at other Hilton Garden inns but was disappointed with this one...was too tired to just go elsewhere.

The staff was great and nice. I only really had interaction with them twice. For checkin/out and towels. The hotel building is showing aged. The room has no venting in the bathroom. So all the moisture from shower or use goes into room. The bed was ok but it made my back hurt. The pillows are awful. They immediately went flat and were not comfortable at all. Thhey stay bunched up the whole time you sleep. I had to go buy my own. The hot tub has been removed. The original pictures on website show it but its gone. My first pool experience here was gross. Because there was a loogie floating in the water. (I realize the staff wouldnt have known about that, and I did ask if they could clean the pool). The breakfast is grab and go. Their is no restaurant on site like the website shows. Maybe in the future if they made upgrades we would recommend it.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Toilet was running on when I arrived. Maintenance fixed it right away when the front desk was alerted. The business center was very convenient for printing some work documents.. The hotel itself is starting to show some age otherwise I wouldve rated it higher.
