Its Sunday 7pm, the park is full of homeless people who gather in the plaza it doesnt seem like a nice safe family place, at least a cop should be around no wonder no kids are playing in the park.

I come to this park frequently to host events, and because of the gazebo and its proximity to downtown McAllen, it is a great place to have people attend an event at.

I love this historical park it faces the beautiful historical hotel Casa De Palma. A small bandstand sits in the middle of the park. Built in 1918 a year after Archer park was made a public park for McAllen. In 1936 the bandstands basement was McAllens public library
