Theres so much to this place that many dont even see. In addition to three floors of historic Mansfield artifacts, the museum has thousands of scanned documents and pictures dating back to the 1800s. If you are doing any research of the surrounding area or just a history buff, theres so many resources here.

Kind of disappointed in how they hide some of the facts of the town. The mayor and Clayton Chandler are very shady. Have had dealings with them over the last 22 years. I have lived here my whole life my familys been here a hundred eighty years.

A wonderful small town museum. Very well done both 1st and 3rd floors with a lot to see in such a small place. Donations only and staff is very nice. Places like this keep our local history alive.

I stopped into the Mansfield Historical Museum and Heritage Center on a Tuesday afternoon. I was the only one in the first floor of the museum. The caretaker, Cindy greeted me from the above landing, overlooking the the main floor of this 1895 building. I was allowed to mill about the place, engrossed in the fascinating history of the area. As my free time came to an end, I still hadn t realized that there was a second floor to the museum! I will make a point to see it in a future visit.
