Came in to try it out as wed heard good things and it didnt disappoint. The quesabirria was really good, meat was perfect and the onion, cheese, and cilantro mix was just perfect. The rice and beans were fine maybe a hint of something different in the beans. Chips reminded me of trips to Mexico. Looking forward to going back!

Found a table but had dirty plates from a previous customer, Sat there for 10 min and they didnt bother to clean the table. They didnt even say anything. A simple will be right there would have been nice. Everyone looked upset, and the place was not welcoming. Left and felt bad for my toddler who was hungry and started crying. You guys just lost a costumer!

The most conflicted 3 star rating Ive ever written. I am--- or should I say, was, a regular here. Yesterday I showed up at around 7:05 PM noticing theyre open till 8 on the Google Maps listing. They were closed and it looks like they were for some time already. They should change their hours to reflect that. Showed up today. I open the door, step inside, and my front foot slips a bit. I catch my balance and look down. Wet floor at the entrance with no wet floor sign, which wouldve helped since my eyes werent yet adjusted to the indoor lighting. Okay, whatever, I think. I place my order. For here. Sit at the table. They approach me with styrofoam containers... is this for me? It was. My pet peeve is hot food served in styrofoam. They asked me if I wanted it plated, mustve misheard me when I said for here when ordering. Seeing as they were very busy I said whatevers most convenient. Its not the end of the world to get your micro and macroplastics in once in awhile. But wait, theres more. My chicken mole enchilada was fine, maybe a little extra salty, but overall good. Then I bit into my chicken quesadilla and the meat tasted suspiciously chewy. Like right on the border between undercooked and fine. If you dont see me updating my review within a week after the post date, its safe to assume I didnt get food poisoning. EDIT: 24+ hours later, no food poisoning! I reheated the leftovers in the oven so they should be in the clear now. Two other people Ive gone with have had issues with their food either being too salty or causing them upset stomach, now Im potentially the third. EDIT: Not the third. I really, really like the people that work here, theyre super nice, the best Mexican food Ive had in years (when its done correctly), and so nice to look at as well, but I think this will be my last visit here. Ill just appreciate the good visits Ive had up until today.

I m currently pregnant and just wanted some Mexican food. This place popped up, I had never seen it before so my husband and I decided to give it a try. You place your own order at the register and they bring your food to your table. It took awhile to get our food, there were 2 employees working and it started to get pretty busy (around 11:45-12:00). I ordered chicken enchiladas with red sauce. The enchiladas had plenty of chicken, so that was great! And I loved the red sauce. The beans and rice were delicious until I found a hair in my beans I didn t bother letting the employee know because there were about 5 ppl in line and about 8 ppl waiting to be served. The atmosphere is great, but I was expecting more of a restaurant/serving style and some chips and salsa! lol. Not sure if we will be coming back.

Overall food was alright, wasnt anything to rave about. We ordered chorizo quesadilla, carne asada tacos and chips and queso. The quesadilla was decent but not worth the $9 with no fixings. The tacos were dry, came with lemons over limes weird touch and it disappointed for sure. The chips were thick and stale. The festive decor was the best thing about this restaurant.

Food is great. Service is slow beyond being acceptable. Place is small but adequate. Initial order took a while, placed a to go order for sick family member at home placed at 1:08 for one small plate of food its now 1:45 and I went up and asked about it and they haven t started on it yet and said wait five more minutes. If they can figure out how to run the place efficiently, it ll be fine. They keep being like this and they won t survive. There s less than 10 tables in the whole place so even at full capacity they can t help 10 tables full of people efficiently?? Wheelchair accessibility: We had no issues with parking or accessibility for a power wheel chair.

I went to this place with my wife, looking for a place to eat something quick before our movie date, and this place popped up on my maps near my area. We were a little skeptical before going in, it was close to their closing time and there was nobody inside. We went in, and we were pleasantly surprised at their menu, they had quite a bit of a variety of authentic mexican dishes. We ordered enchiladas , I ordered mixed meats, and my wife ordered chicken fajita enchiladas. I was expecting to be served some warmed up food from a holding container, but I saw the cook pulling out a tray of fresh chicken from a tray and started grilling it, I knew then it was going to taste good, and I was right, everything was absolutely delicious. On top of that, service was amazing from the beginning. I have started recommending this place to my family, I think we have found our new favorite place to eat and not far from my house. I will be going through all their menu offerings every time We visit.

I order food for my Christmas party for eight people. It was supposed to be chicken and beef fajitas. My husband went to pick up the order, and when I opened the containers, there was a very little meat, maybe enough for four people. I have ordered the same Menu last year and the portions were much bigger. I called the restaurant complaining and finally said, go ahead and send me more meat because I m embarrassed to serve my guests such little portion. Another half a tray (The small tray for individual portions) of beef and chicken was sent with a driver and they wanted me to pay an extra $25 for that and one bag of chips, a small container of rice and a small container of beans. I had already paid $140 for the order. I was informed That the restaurant has changed owners, and it was under a completely different management. Now I understand why the quality of food is not the same as the original Casa Jacaranda I used to love here in Mansfield. I don t usually write back reviews but I m just letting y all know That the quality of food and the portions are much smaller because is not the same owners. So sad because this used to be one of my favorite local Mexican restaurants in Mansfield. Completely disappointed

This is the hidden gem of Johnson/Ellis county. Ive only had better Mexican food than this in the Rio Grande Valley. The prices are modest if not cheap, but cheap doesnt belong anywhere in this review. The breakfast is worth waking up for, the tortillas are soft and fluffy like the eggs served inside them. The lunch and dinner menu is exceptional as well, I probably had everything on the menu and havent tried something I didnt find amazing. Household personal favorites are the Chile Relleno, and the pork tamales. The chips and salsa are amazing as well, but splurge on the queso!

Me and my spouse came here to eat for the first time. We saw the reviews on it and thought maybe it would be a good spot to eat. We thought wrong. Firstly: the employees making the food is using their BARE HANDS AND working the register at the same time! How do you touch money (which is very filthy!) AND place your hands on the meat and cheese and tortillas to put on someone s plate to serve them with? That is disgusting and unsanitary! Secondly: I ordered a breakfast burrito which was like $7 bucks with cheese, eggs, and papas (potatoes) for it to come out as big as the tacos! -__- if that was the case I would ve gotten the breakfast tacos for a cheaper price. Thirdly: The queso was literally cold and the salsa comes in little metal ketchup holders not even a decent size bowl to be paying $3 to $4 bucks and they got my spouse order wrong but by that time we were ready to leave and couldn t even enjoy the food. I do not recommend eating here if you would like a sanitary, bang for your buck, well prepared seasoned meal.

If youre going to serve chilaquiles dont put warm enchilada sauce on top of tortilla chips, that makes it nachos. Plus the refried beans were cold. Super disappointing! We also ordered 2 café dé la olla coffees which never arrived. If youre out of a product just say so and allow the consumer to readjust their order. Various tables were empty but dirty until a busboy finally showed up to clean them for customers waiting to be seated and one of the waitresses was back there chatting away like she wasnt at work. Mgt have a meeting to see that everyone works together as a team for the flow of the business especially for your busiest days, like, Friday Saturday and Sunday. Because you were busy and maybe we came on a bad day ** Id take chilaquiles off the menu because real Mexicans arent fooled with tortilla chips and hot salsa unless you specifically tell the consumer what theyre getting. ** Will give a second chance sometime in the future, because it is cute inside. And your busboy was a sweet kid wanting to get our café dé la olla as soon as possible.

We came in for dinner, the food is so delicious, very authentic. I def recommend this place, it s clean, super cute and they re very kind. We ordered: Agua de limón (fresh limeade)- it was a bit more on the sour side could ve used a little more sugar but still really good Agua de horchata(cinnamon, rice water, milky drink)- I love that it s freshly made. It was really good! Chips and salsa- Salsas were good, not spicy in my opinion Chicken salsa verde enchiladas w/t extra sour cream- they were so good! Very tasty the chicken was also seasoned, the salsa actually had a kick to it but the sour cream helps. The beans and rice were also very delicious. Chicken mole enchiladas (enchiladas w/t the brown sauce) - my husband ordered these, I had a bite. Also very tasty the mole also had a kick to it, the mole im sure is house made bc it did not taste like the typical out of a can mole. We will definitely come here again, I saw they have an espresso machine so I m looking forward to trying their coffee.

Homemade flour tortillas!!! The chips that came with chips and queso and salsa were thick and yummy. I got a Mexican Coke. My friend had Eggs Mexicana with chorizo which was excellent. And I got the Fajita Beef Tacos AL Carbon which was also excellent. Not texmex. This place is small with a sweet staff. Happy I stopped in.

I recently went with my family to eat at this place we had never been before, but saw it had great reviews. I was wrong. There is no AC at all and all of us were freezing. If I was freezing myself, I wonder how the workers were feeling themselves. Its inhumane that the owner has done nothing to fix the issue! I will not be coming back and suggest yall do the same.

La Casa Jacaranda is a gem in the city of Mansfield. All their food is cooked with love and fresh ingredients. Everytime my family and I have come here, we have been greeted by friendly staff and a pleasant upbeat atmosphere. The food is consistently plated beautifully and tastes even better. I wasnt able to take a picture of the food because it disappeared so quickly. If you want breakfast lunch, or dinner, La Casa Jacaranda has it.

First time eating here, didn t love it but didn t hate it. I did love the decor and I like places with an open kitchen. You can see the ladies cooking your food from your table. I ordered the chilaquiles with chicken and added an egg. The chips were so hard I couldn t eat them with a fork so it was like I was eating chips with salsa, the chicken was VERY dry, the salsa on the chilaquiles did have good taste they were just the hardest chilaquiles I ve ever had. Their coffee is also very good but they don t offer refills.

Absolutely amazing experience. Everyone was really nice, especially the young lady at the counter. I didn t get her name, but I wish I had because she was really the sweetest. The food is cheap and REALLY good. The ingredients are quality and the portions are good. Also the little dish they serve the beans in so they don t touch the rice unless you want is SUPER adorable. Overall a really good experience and if you re in the area you should 100% stop in for a visit!

Came across this gem while in Mansfield. Delicious food that was presented beautifully! I had the shrimp tacos that were excellent, my son had the beef fajita quesadilla and he said they were equally as good! The sauces that come with the chips were so fresh and tasty as well. The ladies working there were very friendly and tentative. We will definitely make the drive to go here again.

Ok, so we read several reviews on authentic Mexican food near Mansfield, TX and Casa Jacaranda kept popping up. We gave it a try and let me tell you, absolutely amazing! I had barbacoa and chicken street tacos and my wife had mole chicken enchiladas. We ordered queso and salsa and guacamole. None of it was disappointing. The salsa was fire, which we love it that way. Service was great and the price is very reasonable! We will definitely go back.

Everything was great! You can see them cooking and they even offered us a sample of their house made horchata! Amazing. There are 2 spicier salsas you can ask for! I got their street tacos and got half chicken and half barbacoa. Amazing! Go check it out!

Not sure where the good reviews are coming from. Everything is precooked the day before or maybe thawed from frozen then just reheated. Fajita beef was over seasoned and dry. Chicken was under seasoned and dry. Shredded chicken in my opinion probably was straight out of the freezer. We ordered other items only to find out they didnt have it. Ive had better from franchise Mexican fast food establishments.

More of a fast food type of restaurant with counter ordering than a full service restaurant. Service was so-so...if you wanted refills you had to go to the counter. Food was warm. Portions were very small. Food delivered to table did not have all the items listed on the menu. When personel was advised, they said ask for it next trip, which probably wont happen. No condiments like salt at table

Drove 25 min to pick up the Pozole. As soon as you walk in the environment is cozy and welcoming. When i got home to eat i was disappointed to see i had more broth than meat or hamony. And Pozole is eaten with tostadas rather than tortillas. The Pozole was ok just wldve wanted more hamony and meat rather than broth. I may go back and try something else on the menu and update my review.

I ordered dinner using DoorDash but their app wasn t working properly and I couldn t reach their customer service. By mistake I called the Venus location of Casa Jacaranda. They went above and beyond to help me even though my order wasn t at their location. They let me know that the Mansfield location had already had my order ready so I ended up picking it up myself. When I arrived they insisted on remaking the food so it was fresh and warm (remember this was in no way their fault). They also let me have the cold food so I got a double order. And to top off an excellent experience, the food was delicious! Highly recommend!
