Went to get a $59 deal to get my teeth cleaned. They did a bunch of xrays and examined gums..That took well over an hour. I was then told I need a series of deep cleaning on teeth and gums that would cost a few thousand dollars. I am 80 years old and have had teeth cleaned every 6 months for 60 years. Never had a cavity or suggestions other than get regular cleanings. People were nice , but definitely well schooled on up selling patients. Needless to say this place wont see me again

Today Dental - North Mansfield was an amazing experience! Usually I am very nervous to go to the dentist or any doctor for that matter. So the dentist and receptionist are really sweet. Ill start with that. My experience however has been a nightmare. They say I need a crown. During crown appointment I now need to schedule a root canal. Dang. During my third appointment...the root canal...I was in the chair for FOUR HOURS...often in excruciating pain, even after THREE series of numbing shots. We rescheduled after putting antibiotics inside the roots. Came back after 2 weeks. Back to more excruciating pain. Another 3 hours in the chair for this 4th appointment. They fill the tooth and give me a prescription for a general antibiotic because it must be infected according to them...even though there is zero pain when they arent stabbing my nerves. I take 2 weeks of antibiotics and go back for my 5th appointment for this tooth. Same story. Severe nerve pain once she gets in there. She finally admits she just doesnt have the experience for this. Shes very young and very sweet...so I want to make that clear. Anyways...after an hour this time, they schedule me with a specialist about 45 minutes away at a different location. I tell them I just want to be put under this time as my jaw has been sore for over a month from all the shots as deep as she could go and having my jaw open for so many hours. It hurt to eat or even talk at this point. Well they reschedule twice, and then tell me to pick up a prescription instead of being put under. Basically Xanax. Whatever. SIXTH appointment. The dentist is rude, but fast. He went WAY deeper with numbing needle...hurt bad...but I never felt another thing. He knocked out the root canal in an hour. Then he gave temp filling. I was loopy and passing out from Xanax. threw up in the parking lot...maybe because he told me to leave as soon as they took my nitrous off without having me let it wear off. My 7th appointment involved them digging out the temp filling and fitting me for a temp crown. Why didnt the other dentist do this while I was basically passed out on Xanax? Just another appointment in this nightmare and another couple hours with my jaw wedged open. 8th appointment. I show up...and crown isnt ready. Wow...thanks for letting me know...just my EIGHTH DAY OFF WORK. 9th appointment. Took another 2.5 hours for her to get the permanent crown to fit properly. now...several months later...they say my insurance didnt cover the Xanax...they are sending me a bill for $800!!! For TWO PILLS! Hahaha...youve got enough of my money and time...Ill pay a debt collector before I give yall another dime. Unreal. They are claiming it was halcion...but it was Ativan...which is essentially Xanax...which I already paid for at the pharmacy. They are charging me $800 to call in a prescription?

I am someone who gets pretty extreme dentist anxiety. However, the staff here are incredibly patient and understanding, consistently asking if I was doing okay throughout my procedure, in addition to any cleanings I have had received. The hygienist, Nikki, is so kind and funny, which allows me to forget about my fears and focus on our conversation. My teeth felt cleaner than they ever have and the process was smooth with little to no wait time between x-rays, cleanings, and seeing the doctor. Dr. Mayberry is so knowledgeable, while providing explanations of my teeths condition in laymans terms so I can understand. Out of all of the dentists I have ever seen, Dr. Mayberry is the only one who has taken the time during my dental exam to be thorough, ask me if I had any concerns, and be empathetic to my anxiety. I cannot say enough good things about her and the rest of the office staff. Highly recommend this office to anyone!

But I called the following day in absolutely EXCRUCIATING PAIN and instead of wrighting me something stronger than acetaminophen, or even asking me to come in so she could look at the extraction site she BUTCHERED (my gums are scratched 2 teeth over that had nothing to do with the tooth she was supposed to be removing) she said I should go to a care now . I love the dentist and staff people there. A great office and I highly recommend this dental place. Its so hard nowadays to find a great dentist. If your scared or nervous this place has a great and relaxing atmosphere and great staff people. Definitely give them a call for your teeth needs. Leslie was absolutely great. The initial phone call to set up the appointment was everything I needed to hear. Once I arrived the next day she was, again, very welcoming and put my mind at ease. This location also has a very warm and welcoming waiting area with a TV, complementary coffee, magazines and a big basket of toys for the kiddos. They do not have you waiting any longer than already informed. And most importantly, the dental work is absolutely top notch. I had a difficult job for this location to do for me and it was taken care of with absolute perfection. I would and will recommend this location to anyone in need of dental work. Ive never been a huge fan of going to the dentist due to childhood experiences I had, so its always very difficult to find a dental office that I can feel comfortable with. There was another office here in Mansfield that I used to go to, but the relationship didnt work out. A friend recommended this place, so I felt it was worth a shot. I could not be happier that I gave them a shot. They listen to my concerns, make sure that I was comfortable, fully explain everything that was needed, what was recommended, and then future considerations. I never felt that they were trying to pressure me to do stuff that wasnt needed, and a they regularly checked with me to make sure that I wasnt feeling any pain or anxiety during any of the procedures. The dentists are phenomenal, and the support staff is amazing. When I had questions about coverage, they were able to answer them without any issues and they fully explain all charges before the work was started. Highly recommended

This post is mainly for any patient that is concerned about their gum health. I ve dealt with persistent gum inflammation from July 2022- October 2023. This office did an exceptional job with helping me bring closure to this problem, which consumed much of my time, money and emotions if I m completely honest. Much of my issue was listening to terrible advice from an office about not using an electric toothbrush and water flosser given my fears about gum recession. For anyone dealing with gum inflammation or disease, using an electric toothbrush and water flosser is a must. And you better learn to water floss like a pro. The main issue I ran into was most dentist offices only give deep cleanings if the x-rays and gum pockets justify it. In my situation I only had gum pockets, so most dentist offices would not give me a deep cleaning, which is what I was convinced I needed after multiple perio maintenance cleanings throughout the year. I was even doing monthly cleanings at one point. This office shares my view that x-rays will not necessarily show everything because I ve literally witnessed my gum health get worse despite doing everything else. Since the cleaning, I ve had to water floss a few areas to truly remove all bacteria/plaque but my gums are almost fully restored. Obviously there s been permanent damage but almost all inflammation is completely gone. The dentist (who could probably be a model and is low key a comedian with a heart of gold) performed a portion of my deep cleaning and had my X-rays up while she did the deep cleaning, so she could focus on problem areas. She s like an angel to me for delivering me from this chronic issue. Finally, they offer a dental discount plan that eliminates the need for insurance for people that don t have insurance or good insurance. New patient and they said I needed deep cleaning. My previous doctor closed so went through MetLife website for approved Dr. No one in the office went over a plan of services or estimated costs. Only AFTER services were completed they advised I owe this extremely high cost and after discussing it turns out that this office is out of network so instead of 80% coverage it s now only 50%. I explained how I was referred to them from insurance site and her only response was I m not the insurance . She stated those are always out of date, If this is the case wouldn t a legitimate office advise you. I am extremely dissatisfied with these people. Buyer beware. I do not recommend this office. No company should provide services without letting the customer know an idea of costs, they can make up whatever fees they want and stick it to the customer.

First time I went to Today Dental. I was very impressed. Dr. Mayberry and every employee I came in contact with was very friendly and caring. My hygienist was thorough and gentle and did a great job cleaning my teeth. I will be keeping my next six month appointment.

I ve been trying to get someone to call me back regarding a broken crown since August 18, 2023. Every time I call I ve been given different names and told this or that person will call me back. They are friendly upfront but when it s time to replace something they are very unprofessional.

I had a wonderful experience getting my teeth cleaned today! Nicki was amazing! She worked very hard on my teeth and got the tea stains off of my teeth. You can tell she cares about what she does.
