Whenever we travel to North Texas or the panhandle, I try to stop at Taco Villa for a little nostalgia and a taste of home. Heather, the manager at Taco Villa #20 (1911 50th Street Lubbock) made this an extra memorable trip for us. The location was clean, fresh, and well-run. The people operating the counter and kitchen were cheerful and eager to help. When Heather learned we were from out of town and looking for a memento to bring back to some friends back home, she went out of her way to hook us up with some Taco Villa merch. Such a great experience. Thank you.

Will not eat from here again. Portions are way too small for the amount we pay. Food is just thrown in your bag and youre lucky if its still together when you pull it out. All the workers were just standing around doing nothing when I arrived, and their lack of integrity is just beyond belief. Good luck....

Usually fast and accurate food. The older morning lady is usually pretty rude. U can tell she thinks she can treat ppl like crap because nobody will do nothing about it. She won t keep getting away with it too much longer. That I can promise ! Most of the time the food is hot, accurate and good :). When there is a problem, usually they fix it. Managers need to make sure NOBODY is on the cell phones texting at all! Attitude and faces need to be better. If they don t want to b nice then they need not to work at Taco Villa. On 7/20th or 21st, the very nice lady at the window named Audrey I believe was the best! They all need to learn from her. She was the most professional, she suggested sale of the new nachos and had everything correct. Very nice and it seems like she cares about her job and customers! Give her a raise! She s awesome! I will be returning especially because of her! Parking: The parking is great You will not have parking issues here! Kids, families and busses can always find parking here.

We love their Extreme nachos. Their portion sizes have gotten a lot smaller. Dont waste your money on the keto bowl. No clue why it cost more than the nachos with less ingredients. Couldve at least covered the bottom of the little bowl with lettuce. Brought it home and had to add to it. Wont go back for a while. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegetarian friendly.

When we walked in at 7:30ish tonight to order togo everyone looked very unfriendly, no smiles or welcome more like they were annoyed that we were there. Wesley took our order and was okay, but this girl standing next to him yelled, Damnit! very loudly at us as we were ordering and walked away, I believe her name is Allie. I think it was very unprofessional and rude. Unfortunately, I think she is management, as she is wearing a black shirt, unlike the rest of the staff.

I spent almost fifty dollars told them I lived thirty miles away please dont mess up my order and when my family got into it it was all wrong we ordered soft and hard tacos got soft tacos and burritos nobody in my family eats burritos so it was just a waste of my money, not to mention the fibe tacos we got and we ordered fifteen were extremely nasty, I will never go there again and do not recommend it to anyone

This location, funny enough, is right next to a taco bell - I find that funny. Anyhow, the employees here are all young teens and they embrace it, great service while still managing to have fun. The food is taco villa, like taco villa should be. We got our food fast and hot, all whe being entertained. Overall, this is a great location and the employees give off a great vibe.

As we always do we make a pitstop before heading home on a 6 hour drive. Unfortunately 25 minutes of those 6 hours were spent waiting??? for our To-Go-Order. This is the second time at this location that weve had to wait and probably will be the last... and the EXCUSE... that we were given as to justify why it took so long is that the drive thru takes priority over any counter tickets because they are timed on their drive thru orders regardless of the time the dining room has to wait. I stood and watched as my order to go got bumped THREE times to fully complete theirs and two of them was for the same freaking burritos as what I ordered, and one was a large order that was asked to pull around, but cuz its a drive thru order it is more important than anybody elses order... and mine was TO GO!!! So word of warning if you want to dine in and eat here... DONT ... as you are not important enough as the drive thru, so order it via the drive thru... and then go inside to eat after they serve you at the window and dine in... As Idiocracy as it sounds its the only way to get your food in a timely manner and this is supposed to be a FAST food restaurant...??? Very Doubtful...

Not all Taco Villas are created equal... The food was as always....good. Everything else was terrible. The 2nd bad experience at the 50th & Q location in as many visits. 1st experience ordered 8 combination burritos in drive thru. There were no other customers visible inside and no one behind us in the drive thru. Took 15 min to get our order and by that time a second vehicle had placed an order as well and had to wait and ended up getting theirs at the same time as ours. We thought this was a fluke the first time and went for a 2nd visit and boy we were wrong, This time we went inside and placed an order to go... 12 combo burritos. The staff made 2 burritos and stopped making our order to complete a drive thru order. This happened 3 times that our order was bumped to complete a drive thru orders while our food got cold. This time it took 25 min to get our order to go, but felt like 45 min. As we watched our order get bumped three times. Manager on duty Brandon gave many excuses but did not offer a solution about how to keep this from happening again. Needless to say we will never visit this T.V. again on our way out of town.

I had a really good experience previously at a Taco Villa, and I was excited to stop in Lubbock so I could try a different location along our trip. This time, I was disappointed. The quality of the food was not up to the same standard, and there was barely any chicken in the chicken bowl that cost almost $9. The employees (including the manager) said the chicken is proportioned, so I guess that is all you get for the money. The manager did finally refund the money, so I guess theres that, but I was unfortunately disappointed with this experience. I will not be looking forward to my next stop in Lubbock.

I have never had such a bad experience at a taco villa. No one was behind me, yet I had to pull around and wait for my food. I wasn t given straws for the drinks. Tea tasted AWFUL and the actual food was even worse! No extra cheese, but was definitely charged for it! Stale tortilla, some type of glob of seasoning or something In the red sauce on the burrito. Red sauce had the absolute strangest taste, I m not sure if it was a bad batch or what. The Taco burger was not any better. Everything tasted like it had been left out, too long, put away, and served again. A waste of money.

As someone driving through town I hadnt heard of Taco Villa before and wanted to try something new, but it was very disappointing. Worse than taco bell, which is not a high benchmark. The food, as usual was great. Having said that, the young lady working the window today did not have a mask on. I am fully vaccinated with the booster and Im sick. I wore my K95 at the window and her smart mouthed reply when I mentioned a mask was Im vaccinated, I dont have to wear one. I could see the other employees had theirs on. I love this location! These are my people! I visit this location literally 5-7 times a week. I consume about a bag of their ice per day (2 in the summer). Without fail, on every shift, the staff is patient and helpful and when I work late and cant get there before they close they have always been more than willing to accommodate me in anyway they can to ensure that I dont go without! Eat here at least twice a week my husband always has a smothered burrito with extra chili which we pay for he know what it looks like with extra chili when he questioned this he was told that that was extra chili. it was not. Have also had problems with getting hot chili cheese fries when you say something they act like it the end of the world guess some people like to pay almost 4 dollars for cold food

They changed their prices in the family packs. Before you had an option to choose tacos or burritos and soft or hard tacos. Now you cant choose the variety. I use to go there for the family packs and I stopped going to Taco Villa for this reason.
