I have to update my previous review. While the service and atmosphere are still awesome, the food quality went down so much that we have quit going entirely. My dad spent quite a bit of money for my birthday, and the food was super low quality, cold, and the steaks were over cooked, which is especially hard to do with me since I like steak well done. So disappointing. With the cost of food here, I m not risking another horrible dinner.

My son and I drove an hour to try this place out. The fried rice was very bland, definitely not worth an extra $2.50 each. The bento box was adequate but the California roll fell apart. The hibachi meal my son got was good but portion size was very small for the price. I ordered some teriyaki chicken to go with extra sauce. The next day, when I went to heat it up there was very little teriyaki sauce on the chicken and no extra. I had to go buy a bottle to put on it to eat it. Otherwise it did not have much flavor. The portion size was good though. The service was outstanding!! We will not be returning. Our bill was almost $60 and it certainly was not worth that much. There is a similar place in Mt Pleasant with bigger portions and much better food and only 20 minutes away. I ll opt to go there.

To be quite frank the main reason why im putting a one star is due to the fact that the food gave me and my boyfriend food poisoning. Went by yesterday and it was my first and last time going. The food itself was alright, i ordered two types of sushi, spicy tuna and the Soho roll. Spicy tuna was alright and the Soho roll just didnt have any outstanding flavor. My boyfriend got the combination fried rice and that also lacked flavor. But again the one star isnt for the food itself. Dont know if they were having an off day or what but im pretry disappointed as I heard good things. The server we had though was very sweet. :)

Quick review. The sushi and sashimi are great. Everything else is better trash, especially their hibachi. Again, steer clear of anything that didnt come from the ocean, or youll regret it. Even the noodles are frustratingly awful.

We ordered the shrimp teriyaki dinner. They brought it out on a skillet. No plate. The menu did not state how served. Greasy food. Too pricey for quality of food. Love the lunch Bento box. Wont be back at dinner time.

Fuji is a great dinner spot! Our server Kevin was excellent. He was quick but patient with us while ordering, always ready with a drink refill, and very professional. Not worth taking a star off, but the hibachi chicken is a little less flavorful than expected out of such a dish. On the other hand, the portions are huge and I almost always take a to-go box home. Overall, the food is delicious. I highly recommend the green salad and beef gyoza.

Great food. This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in area. Prices at lunch are affordable. Dinner is a little more but worth it. Staff is friendly and fast. One can eat lunch and get back to work on time.

If you are wanting hibachi food this is not it. The steak and chicken both looked like fake frozen meats. The fried rice was like the packages you can buy at Sam s. None of the food had any seasonings. The salad was my favorite part. My husband enjoyed the sushi. Overall, very disappointed.

I ve dined at Fuji twice now and have greatly enjoyed both experiences. Both times I ve come on week nights and sat down immediately, there were just a few others. I sat at a table the first time, and then the sushi bar the next. Both times the servers were very sweet, and service was almost instant. For food I ve started both times with the house salad, the ginger dressing is great. The first entree I had was the chicken Katsu, it was fried and cooked perfectly with a great crust and juicy, non-fatty interior. The katsu sauce was also traditional and very good. This time I switched it up and got something I never do. When I normally get sushi, I tend to stick to nigiri at high end sushi restaurants, but decided to be random tonight and order a roll. I had the Cajun Cowboy Roll and loved it. To me this isn t sushi at all, with ingredients such as crab, crawfish, and ribeye steak on top .but I just didn t picture it as that. I just saw it as a unique surf and turf entree, Texas style. Whatever you want to see it as, I bet you will love it as much as I did. Just overall good experiences I ve had here. My only suggestion is that it s super bright inside, dimming the lights a little would be awesome!

I have eaten here every week for the past 3 months and had almost every specialty role on the menu, the freshness and quality of the sushi is excellent. The appetizers are also really good the calamari is my favorite. The Fuji role is my personal Favorite role on the menu, seconded by the Samurai role. I will say the $31 yummy yummy role is not worth it, simply for the lobster tail in my opinion. The only main negative is the cleanliness of the male bathroom, it is not very hygienic. We did not like the food at all. The staff was friendly and all but none of us liked the taste of the food. I asked for my steak medium well and it was well done. Had some kind of sauce on it that I didnt like. The fried rice was very bland. Did not feel like complaining so just paid and left.

Sushi: The sushi was pretty good. California roll was 9/10, Tuna roll 5/10, and Tempura Shrimp roll was 8/10. The soy sauce we had was very salty so I would prefer to eat without. Entree: The shrimp fried rice was a 6/10. It was fine, the shrimp were big and the best part of the fried rice. Miso soup was VERY salty. After pouring some water in the soup it was edible. I was surprised by the Takoyaki since it was served in a different way than usual. It was very tasty and we got several pieces for $6.

FUJI has plenty of dishes to choose dromedary the menu.. Sushi, dumplings with extra teriyaki and eel sauce are two of my favorite dishes. The wine selection is nice. Cupcake Moscato is one of my favorite wines. Oh yeah they do have a cocktail selection. The atmosphere is quiet and laid back. I love it here.

Do not eat here. I ate there last week and the food was amazing until I found a maggot in my broccoli. When I showed the waiter she said she would take it off my tab. She brought me and my friends tab out (we were paying separately) and I still had my drink and sushi on the ticket. I asked for the manager and explained that I felt me or my friend should not have to pay for anything being that it has all came from the same place. She argued with me saying the sushi came from the bar not from the kitchen where the broccoli was made so i will pay for it. I told her that I was scared to eat the sushi because it s the same restaurant and there could be maggots in that as well. She RUDELY told me and my friend to just leave. How do you expect me to pay for anything when i found a maggot in my plate. They had no reaction which makes me think they knew they had maggots in the back OR this has happened before. If i could rate it a 0 i would.

Came with a friend that wanted to try this place. I was hesitant due to not big fan of seafood. However, Ive wanted to try Japanese Ramen and it was delicious. I went with Chicken. It was very good and filling. It was similar to packaged ramen but no processed flavoring. Restaurant feeling was calm. Is a little pricey but as long as you expect it it shouldnt be bad on the wallet.

I guess ordering out and dinning is different. These reviews are good but I ordered from this place for the first time and I am extremely disappointed. Put in an 80 dollar order and literally got two tiny little smart phone sized containers of food. Not to justify 80 dollars worth of sushi. Will never order from here again. Way over priced for what they offer. Glad yall all love it. They just ripped me off with my takeout order. Kobe steak house gives you youre moneys worth. I should have stuck with them. Bad experience for me. Food taste horrible, like...absolutely disgusting!!!! Blown away by how bad this was. My wife even says its trash so its certainly not just my opinion. I do not understand these comments. Those people must have ate somewhere else. I ordered the Hibachi steak, costing around 20ish dollars. Expected it too look and taste like the price. NEGATIVE!!! Steak looked like it was cooked in the microwave or boiling water with a splash of sauce drizzled across. Took one bite and decided I didnt want food poison on my evening agenda. Rice was the most bland thing ever. As if it came from the frozen bag section of the grocery store. Noodles were flavorless. Friends that were with me were also disappointed in the quality of their meals (sushi, shrimp tower and avocado salad). I think I can confidently say it was the worst food that I have ever been presented with or ate. I have never been so disgusted to pay for a meal in my entire life. Needless to say our group will never return. I wish them the best.

Me & my daughter loved this place. Nice, clean and upscale location serves delicious sushi and other dishes. I ordered Shrimp Tempura sushi roll and the Lobster roll. All the ingredients of the fresh vegetables, meat, and sauces that the dribble on top, just explode in your mouth. Simply delicious and reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly. SUSHI!!

My husband has a severe shellfish allergy and when he got his food last night we noticed there was shrimp on his plate, we asked our waitress Sophia to please return and remake the food without shrimp because we didn t know there would be shellfish and we apologized for inconveniencing them. NOT even 2 minutes later a new plate came out and we even asked Sophia twice if this is the same plate and she told us they remade it . My husband was violently throwing up about 10 minutes after we left. They served him the same plate after we expressed several times that shellfish could kill him. We re going to the Gregg County Health Department Monday when they open. NO ONE should be allergy negligent is a restaurant!

Sushi was excellent and fresh. The dressing they use in their pre meal salad is much better than other sushi places Ive been, and their yum yum sauce is also deliciously unique in flavor. Great lunch specials and a nice atmosphere make Fuji worth the stop.

The food is pretty good and the service is pretty quick for take out. Even for dining in, it is quick and tasty. The place is clean and the waitress are nice enough.

Took my Wife here for her Birthday. She LOVED it. Had ALL her favorites. Good food. Good service. Good value. My wife has food allergies and they paid attention to her needs. Easy access for her walker. Great NEW ice cream dessert for me! Try the Mochi Ice!
