My husband and I love riding our bikes on this trail like so many here in the area. The trails are kept clean and maintained very well. Most days, including the weekends, are not too busy. Guessing that most people find it too hot to be outside in Texas heat! Oh, but many are missing the opportunity of experiencing the beautiful scenery and nature around here! Bunnies and squirrels running about and all the beautiful butterflies and dragonflies in the air! We love it!

Playground: Two playgrounds: one near splash pad the other on the other end of park. Toilets: Restrooms near splash pad. Dog-friendliness: Excellent dog parks surrounded with hike and bike trails. Dog parks have covered seating, water stations and large pens each about 1-2 acres. Picnic area: Several covered areas near attractions: dog parks, playgrounds, splash pad. Large grassy areas throughout.

This park is great. There are a lot of amenities. Near the entrance, there is a playground for kids to play. When you go further, youre able to see nature throughout the path, with benches every once in a while, where you can sit and enjoy it. Eventually, there will be a pond that has a variety of animals, such as birds, fish, frogs, and turtles, with a deck and a few benches to sit and enjoy. The parks maintenance is good and looks good most of the time, even after heavy rain. Playground: The playground has a variety of equipment, ranging from slides to climbing structures. There is also other equipment, such as pull-up bars and swings. Dog-friendliness: You can bring your dogs. Theres even a dog park further down the path, so you and your dog can have some fun.

Good, not great. There are a lot of good features, the kids playground area is pretty unique, disk golf, paved bike, and jogging trail. Esthetically speaking, it needs work, lots of dead and downed trees, and broken pvc pipes. Playground: Great playground, lots of play equipment. Dog-friendliness: Lots of people walking their dogs.

The facilities are poorly maintained, with unkempt green areas and outdated playgrounds. Safety concerns arise from broken equipment and inadequate lighting. Additionally, the park lacks amenities like restrooms and seating. Overall, a subpar experience that fails to meet expectations.

The lush greenery, serene pond, and well-maintained trails create a peaceful ambiance. Perfect for picnics or a leisurely stroll, the park offers a range of activities for families. The playground is a hit with kids, and the sports facilities are top-notch. The location is easily accessible, and the overall cleanliness adds to its charm. Whether youre seeking recreation or a quiet escape, McCord Park ticks all the boxes.

Im not familiar with the area so it took a while for me to find this playground. There are two playgrounds in this park and the one we wanted to visit is by the water splash park. It is a nice park with several trash cans and a water fountain (for both humans and animals) on the trail. There are two gated dog parks too.

McCord Park is underrated, and it is underrated because many people believe that it is just another town park. In reality, there is a 3-mile nature trail called Lakefront Trail on the northern end of the park, and it leads all the way towards Eldorado Road to the north. As you walk down that trail, youll experience more than just another park. It is indeed one big nature preserve. Youll encounter a section where crickets reside, different types of plants, the outerbanks of Lewisville Lake, sea turtles, and even a small waterfall deep within the shrubs of the woods. This is why I am going to contact park personnel requesting that some parts of McCord Park be recognized as a nature preserve. It will be beneficial for hiking interests, and for preserving the environment.

Ive never been to this park, but it was close to where we had to pick someone up, and we needed to kill a bit of time. I really hope this is an anomaly for this park. The Park, from just driving by, looked huge and looked well maintained. The playground had a variety of equipment for all ages. However, this was the playground area (in pics). We were very disappointed. Besides all the dead debris all over the playground, there were very few options in the shade to sit. I dont know if the City of Little Elm maintains this park, or a private company manages the Park, but hopefully, someone goes in and cleans it up. It really is a beautiful Park.

Playground: The playground is nice and theres a disc golf course here as well. The walking trail leads to a dog park about 1/2 mile down the trail. This is a wonderful park during the day, a great place to go for a walk or picnic. Night time is a different story. You might get mugged, shot, or washed away in a flash flood as the park is a flood plain surrounded by 4 apartment complexes. I lived in the apartments next to here and a kid died at the splash pad not long after I moved in. Youll hear the occasional gunshot or see a drug deal every now and then. Always police presence here but it doesnt always help since theres not a clear view of the whole park from the road. I never thought Id worry about walking at night in my home town.

There was also a brown substance on the slide that was not poop, but maybe mud? It was very unhygienic and a bad experience for me and everyone else that visited.
