I took a lesson with DFW Surf about ten years ago. It was life changing for my wife and I. We joined the club and have enjoying every moment. There are so many club benefits and activities, from sunrise paddles to sunset paddles to the Friday night Paddle and a Pint. There is paddle board yoga, with great instructors. Surf lessons for first time surfers to advanced surfers with amazing coaches.

Was excited to try kayaking Guy said he was closing after we walked away went across the street saw him give a kayak to another lady right after he said he was closing lied and felt like I wasn t welcome at his location and I was with my family I would not go there again I don t recommend at all

Called ahead of time because it s happened 3 times before where we reserve and they refund us because they closed early. This is the 4th time. Monday at 4:00 this location closed . As soon as we walked into our cars, this same location rents out a kayak to another lady after saying it was closed. Don t waste your time coming here. Go find another location or buy your own kayak. Update: I will not remove my review. I had 3 other people with me and whomever was in the shack told us it was closing due to loosing more Money than what it s making own up to your mistake

Went here with my girlfriend and a friend to enjoy our Sunday on the lake, it was a great experience apart from the customer service. Everything seemed to be going fairly well, and we really enjoyed the whole kayaking experience. But the employees failed to inform us of the hourly rates and retaliated with rude remarks when we arrived back to the shore , later than we were supposed to. (Of which we were not informed of any time range, or how long we were allowed out on the kayaks) other than the sassy & rude employees, it was a good experience. Not sure that I d return here because of this. I d beware of the rates and make sure the employees actually take the time to inform you of how their prices run. L

The water and location is beautiful, the only downside to the experience were the employees. They lacked to inform us of how the prices worked amongst the hourly rates. Not even really the biggest issue- and we had no problem with paying! But the employees were rude and passive aggressive about it. When we came back up to the shore from our kayak ride the employees made snarky remarks about us being late. If they had been more informative or simply just nicer about it I would not be here leaving this review. The employees need to do better, making sure patrons are aware of the hourly rates, and not being so rude .

On the grass, discussing disc golf and all things sunny, joined by my friend for a double kayak ride across the hues of titillating blacks, blues and greens in shimmering water, discussing lake front homes, Henry Matisse, meditation and cartoons, a deeper water and plunging birds on their evening feeds, we slowly approached the shore with the sun behind us and a bite of day left ahead. So much fun and very peaceful. Went to a sunrise paddle boarding session and wow! It was amazing a little workout and great way to start the day! My bf wasn t so sure, but ended up loving it maybe, even more than me! Such a blast the staff & others in our group were also so amazing. Try it, if you don t like it try it again I d recommend buying a water activity phone holder/poach beforehand to take your phone for pics w/o worry!

I had the chance to experience the stunning views of Lewisville Lake at DFWsurf, and they are truly breathtaking. However, its worth noting that the pricing here is on the higher side compared to other similar places. What caught me off guard was an unexpected $10 additional charge during the last hour of our visit despite pre-booking online. We called in advance and were quoted a price of $40 for our visit to DFWsurf. However, upon arriving, we were surprised to find that they charged us $50 instead. This discrepancy in pricing was disappointing and left us with an unexpected expense. Its important for businesses to honor the prices they quote to customers in order to maintain trust and transparency.

I went for a paddle board lesson with a group of 11 people. We were charged double what it would cost to rent a board for an hour and our lesson was a 5 minute spiel about how to resize our oars and get the boards into the water. Our group (all first timers minus one person) gets out on the water and when we re ready to try standing, we turn around looking for our guide but she never joined us on the water! We were told that the lesson would be for beginners. We had to figure everything out by ourselves including how to steer the board and what to do if we fell off. For the price we paid we should have just rented boards for the extra time since we had to teach ourselves! If you sign up for a lesson, don t expect more than This is a paddle board, there s the water, good luck!

Absolutely great 5+ star experience! Very friendly staff and great kayaks/paddleboards! They were so accommodating when I wanted to paddleboard then swap to a kayak for the 2nd half of my rental time. Dog friendly, too! They saved our day as we had a reservations somewhere else that got canceled last minute. Highly recommend DFW Surf and the lake is so nice at this location.

The experience was great we loved it. The service was not good. The guy didnt tell us about the hourly rental. We paid $65 for two kayaks and I didnt know we had to pay hourly the guy didnt tell us anything. When we went to ask the guy if we had to pay hourly or if it was for the whole day. He told us I dont have you tell you anything you signed the agreement. Its not by law you have to tell a client something but its out of generosity. Being up front and nicely telling the people paying for the services the rental is by the hour so we know we have to come back quick because its by the hour. The life jackets are all old/ripped up. Maybe its time for some new ones. With the hourly rental they charge they should be able to afford it.

Got a Kayak, got engaged! I booked a reservation online for a 2-person kayak and the whole process seemed suspiciously easy and simple. We got there ~1 hour before when the reservation was, but the people working were so incredibly accommodating and let us take kayaks out early because they had them available. Very nice people and something Ill remember forever. Just a heads-up, parking is paid because its right next to the Little Elm Beach, but I also liked having their facilities to change in.

The family and I visited Little Elm Park and were very grateful to stumble upon DFW Surf. My husband and the owner became instantly connected discussing culture, language and social beliefs. The following day, the family and I took out 3 tandem kayaks and enjoyed an absolutely wonderful day out on Lewisville Lake. They offer both paddleboards, single and tandem kayaks, even cruiser bikes. The equipment was in great condition and easy to use. The staff were extremely generous and Texas friendly. Rented paddleboards for an hour. Service was great, the guys working the shop were very friendly and had good suggestions for places to eat afterwords. Price of rental was as expected. Didnt have a watch but they werent sticklers about how long youre out as long as you bring the rentals back sometime around an hour. One paddleboard didnt have the strings up front so had we wanted to bring a bag out there we would have needed to pick another board, but other than that all good! The little speech about how to paddle was a little excessive given weve done it before, but was to be expected. Lake was nice. Water was hot. Not too choppy most of the time. Wish there were nicer areas on the lake to paddle to, but not much the company can do about that.

I just want to promote a local business and thank them for a great experience. We spent Sunday at Little Elm beach and came across DFW Surf (they also have locations in Frisco and Lake Grapevine). They helped us turn a average day into a great experience for the family. Creating memories like this are priceless but surprisingly affordable. We rented 2 paddle boards and 2 kayaks for 2 hours making a day full of fun. I highly recommend them if you don t want to buy/transport/store this equipment. It s so nice to walk up, do your thing and drop them back off. All the fun stuff without the hassle.
