BEWARE! You will get charged more than you are expecting. I went in today with my partner and upon receiving the receipt everything looked fine. Once we payed we saw there was a large party gratuity on there(it was not there on the original receipt we were give ). There was only two of us!! I asked the waitress Vina about this and she said that because we did not tip her last time she added the gratuity. We did not tip simply due to the bad service. Vina did not give refills or return to the table so we had to get up and ask the staff for what we needed. I asked to speak to the manager and he did not apologize for the inconvenience, instead backed her and said that this her income and if I really wanted him to he would refund it. HE DID NOT REFUND IT!! Instead printed a receipt with the correct total and said he did. Upon checking my banking account he charged me the correct total, then refunded the correct total, then charged me the incorrect total again. I pointed this out to him and his response was well I didn t charge you twice. It should be fine. Come back and let me know if it doesn t come out correct. I contacted my bank and they confirmed he charged me the incorrect total. This was very upsetting. A reminder: tipping is optional not required! I do believe in tipping for good service but do not believe in tipping when I am having to get up to ask for stuff as Vina did not come back to the table, not getting refills on empty drinks, and having to constantly wave at her to get her attention while she was with other tables ignoring ours.

The place has a nice atmosphere and even though they were busy, my party was served rapidly and correctly. Everyone enjoyed the food, I particularly liked the stuffed bell pepper. HOWEVER, my party were all up throughout the night and morning with stomach pains and general intestinal distress.

Angelinas has been in Lewisville ever since I moved here in late 80s for good reason... Food is fundamentally very good. Service top notch. Pricing very reasonable. Great bargain. Ok, so the venue is showing its age, but that also makes it more comfortable and welcoming for all levels of people, which I like. Easy to feel warm, Casual, and accepted here. The foo foo pinky up Flower Mound crowd is not the clientele, but the rest of us love this place for what it is....basic, good, affordable TX MX food!

Company was great celebration of my birthday with my family. I ordered the special cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. The enchiladas were chessy and delicious but the rice and beans tasted a little too salty. Maybe some played a trick on the chef. Other than that service was great and the environment was good . This place did not feel like a restaurant grade food, it felt like a street food quality. The chips and salsa was good, very addicting but the guac was not fresh and the water was bad, the restroom was very neat but the floor and the vibes of the restaurant gave a sea side vibe, which Im not a fan of. I think the stuffed chicken jalapenos could have been fried with panko crumbs instead of batter which would have been better and the chicken stuffing should have cheese or something else in it not just plain shredded chicken. The beef tacos were good but the guacamole was not fresh. The rice and beans were good, nicely flavored.

Wonderful taste, huge portions, authentic food, very polite staff and professional services. Our waitress was so nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Even the Chef came out to better understand and accommodate some food restrictions that one of our guests had. We will be visiting this place frequently. Dietary restrictions: They are very very helpful! We explained to the waitress that one of our guests had some restrictions, and a few minutes later, the chef came out, talked with us about the specifics, and suggested appropriate replacements in several meals to accommodate our guests restrictions. Angelinas (Lewisville) is a favorite go-to place for lunch with co-workers. Call in our order and within 15 minutes...ready for pick-up. The atmosphere is ok. Could probably use a little pick me up, but the decor is what gives this long-running restaurant its character. Id recommend the shredded chicken chimichanga or beef enchiladas. Both come with refried beans and Mexican rice. Yum! Their chips and salsa or chips and queso are a must-have as well.

We eat here quite often (my out-of-state Dad requests to eat here whenever he visits) and our food is always hot, fresh, and tasty. They are as accommodating as possible with gluten free (Celiac here)orders although they don t/can t guarantee cross-contact. Most horrible experience Ive ever had! They definitely were not prepared for the Cinco de Mayo traffic, which is unfortunate, considering that it was a Mexican restaurant and tgey should ve been expected to have an influx in customers. The waitress was completely inattentive Someone else had to come and help me at the table because I hadn t seen her in about 15 or 20 minutes. It took about 35 minutes for us to get our food. Heard good things about this place in the various local food groups, and its always packed when I drive by, so we decided to try it out on a miserably rainy Thursday evening. Fast, friendly, and attentive service, the ambiance is pretty much what youd expect for a solid Tex Mex restaurant, and the food was great! We also partook of the happy hour drink specials and were not disappointed. Wife and I just decided to split one of their appetizer platters -- the one with all the chicken stuff. Somewhat comically, one of the two chicken jalapeño poppers was completely devoid of filling (it was the right size and shape so clearly the filling must have seeped out during deep-frying). I notified our server and she swiftly replaced it with not one but TWO extra poppers (one chicken, one cheese). Hooray! Wife decided she needed more protein and we ordered the cóctel de camarónes and you need to understand that this was always the dish her dad would make her when she was younger and she needed cheering up so its near and dear to her heart. It is no small praise to indicate that it met with her approval. Chips were good. Salsa was quite tasty, though more liquid than solid. Nothing wrong than that; just observing. They also gave us a couple sweetened coffee shots at the end of our meal. Neat! Also, there was an abuelita serving the table next to us, unapologetically forcing some Español out of the exceedingly white family in the table next to us and calling them mijo and mija and while our server was great, Ive never had server-envy more in my entire life. Next time, Angelinas. Next time. Anyway, do yourself a favor and check out Angelinas. Good food, good drinks, good times.

Love this place but management needs to reevaluate how they Up charge customers. I understand that if I don t want french fries instead, I want guacamole salad that I am going to pay an up charge that only makes sense. We all know that Avocados ,cheese ,lettuce ,onions are not cheap but potatoes Are still quite a bit cheaper But to charge somebody $5.75 For a chili con queso, and $5.75 for the same size of tomatillo sauce Makes no sense. We all know that cheese is astronomically more expensive, than tomatillos are . one of the cheapest vegetables out there. First time visiting this restaurant. Had the fish tacos. They looked good on the plate but really lacked flavor. There was what looked like a small piece of grilled fish in the Taco, which was just there, basically. Even the pico lacked flavor. The best part of the meal was the little bowl of black beans that came with the meal. It was the only thing that had any flavor. We were there for a birthday party, and the gentleman who was waiting on our group did a great job for us. Very attentive. Ill try this place again in the future because the enchiladas and other dishes people looked pretty good.

I had the combo (x3) Enchiladas (2 SC & Chicken & 1 Cheese w/Chili Con Carne) and I really loved it, but I think I would have preferred the fajita over the shredded Chicken and as well it could of had a bit more SC sauce as I had to preserve it to get thru both my Chicken Enchiladas. But, the SC sauce had a great flavor and consistency. I thought the Rice was very good too. The Refried Beans were mediocre and needed a bit more cheese to provide more flavor. I used some of the Salsa which was superior to add flavor and excitement to it. I had the 22oz Shiner on tap which was very cold and perfect. It only cost $5.50 which is super reasonable. I wish the price for the combo Enchiladas was as reasonable but I know these restaurants are struggling like the rest of us trying to survive in this Bidenomic inflationary economy so I will give them a pass on that! The atmosphere was rather authentic with a somewhat nice retro feel but still could use some cleaning up and some freshness as it really looks like its been the same way for the last 50yrs. I had heard from several people that the place was very good and for the most part I feel like it lived up to its reputation but I still see that it has room for improvement if it wants to be a premier Mexican Restaurant in the DFW area as there is one on just about every corner and some of them are excellent. My problem is that theres so many it would literally take a lifetime and a rich personal budget to test all of them enough to make a fair determination. I have only had the Cheese/Chili Con Carne & the SC & Chicken Enchiladas and the Chips and Salsa and I am sure that some of the other items on their menu are very good and maybe even closer to perfect but I gotta try them first so a greater opinion is still unexplored till then to be totally fair, but as I said, I would suspect goodness from my initial experience. I give 2 thumbs up on definitely a must try for yourself. On the bland to spicy meter I give them somewhere in the middle for those that value Mexican food from that perspective! Good Eats everyone!

Id give it 4.5 if I could. The food was delicious, and the wait staff super nice and kind. I was saddened that a place that could look amazing was just a little dumpy. There were places used as storage covering beautifil decorations, the bathrooms also need lots of attention. It looks like they were built in the 70s and theyve been just improving minimally as time has gone on. Theres old yellow tile everywhere that looks from that era. I wish this place looked amazing. Sadly I wouldnt feel proud about my heritage taking friends here. I might get take out, rhough, because the food was delicious. Also, the prices were low. I ate a soup and salad with extra chicken for under $20 including 20% tip and taxes. Id pay more to see their bathrooms fixed and have the place cleaned up, for sure. My family and I have been coming here for years. Weve celebrated birthdays, graduations, and anniversaries at Angelinas. The servers know us and often know what we want to order before we even ask. You really cant go wrong with anything on the menu; its all good! Everyone is so kind, hardworking, and welcoming. One of my favorite restaurants by far!

Their menu changed since our last visit, along with a refresh of the building. It seemed to be missing a few items, as well as descriptions (like what exactly Angelinas enchiladas are). The food was good, starting with the chips and salsa, both of which tasted fresh. Angelinas special enchiladas are tasty, with a nice combination of cheese, onions and chili con carne. My margarita was also good, not too strong but not weak either. Service was friendly but not particularly attentive after we got our food. It was an early dinner for us, and they werent busy. All in all, good but not great.

The food is so delicious and reminded me of my time in Mexico. I went during the week at lunch and was very surprised by how popular this restaurant is. I thought my family and I went early enough that there would not be so many people and so much noise. I was wrong...lol. The service was superb and the pricing was fair. I want to return, but the noise may keep me from becoming a regular customer. Thank you for the experience. Excellent location.

Havent been here in a long time. So I thought I would bring a friend for lunch. The food is not like it used to be. Beef fajitas were absolutely gross. Meat looked like it had been cooked weeks ago. I couldnt even eat it. Nachos were a little decent. But have made my mind up and this will be my last visit to this restaurant. The older lady was not good and rude.
