Employees are lazy and incompetent. You will be waiting an insane amount of time for your food, which will almost certainly be wrong. Then they will be rude about it, and act like being expected to work is a major burden on them. This place is not worth it, the food is mediocre, only really worth it in the first place because it s cheap, so the terrible employees just ruin it. Go somewhere else, they ll serve you faster and they ll be nicer about it too.

Experienced Lagos Kitchen for the first time today with a friend and all I can say is I m very impressed. The service was great, the food was well prepared, and the atmosphere has a laid back vibe. I ordered the jollof rice with chicken and it came with plantains. Also I ordered egusi with assorted meat and meat pie. The food was delicious. 10/10 recommend. Thank you for such a great experience!

I ordered fresh fish with stew base, rice, vegetables and ofada stew. The amount of maggi in these meals takes away from the authentic flavor the meal should have. I had to thoroughly rinse my palette to take that taste out. Also fresh fish should come with an option of making the base spicy or not. This was not what I was expecting at all.

The goat meat in the okra soup was so tough I literally took the meat out and boiled it for an extra hour and there was barely any soup in the bowl for 30 bucks so I ended up adding okra and basically cooked my own soup im sorry but it just wasnt worth it I also ordered what I thought was fu fu but it came with amala that wasnt as good as fu fu so this whole ordeal was just a no for me

I ordered fried tilapia for delivery. In the details it says you can have the choice of plantains or jollof rice. I typed jollof and still got plantains. Im allergic to them so I couldnt even eat my meal at all. On top of that I only got 3 slices of plantains. In the pictures online it looking like more on the plate then 3. Wasted $30.

Since this was a take-out spot I can only speak to the food. Unfortunately, we decided to go ahead and order DESPITE the outrageous price of $27 per plate of food (soup and fufu). We needed somewhere close to downtown since we were visiting. My partner got a soup (forgot the name) and I got egusi. This was the worst egusi I had ever eaten in my life! The goat wasn t cooked all the way so it was chewy, the egusi was watery; it was just an overall disappointing dish. I make better egusi and I m not even Nigerian. Please stay far away and try another Nigerian/ West African restaurant in Dallas.

Don t understand why they re always so rude and unwelcoming

I wouldnt recommend wasting your time or money here, the food was underwhelming. After a 35-minutes drive, our meal was served cold. The waitress who seemed either exhausted or indifferent, was the only one on duty. Despite only having to attend to two tables, she was unresponsive and repeatedly informed us that items we wanted were unavailable. We tried to order fish with our Amala, but were told it would take 30 minutes to prepare, and she didnt even check to see if it was possible before saying no. I wont be returning both the food and service were disappointing.

We had never eaten Nigerian food before, and staff was very friendly and informative about what we were ordering. We both got jollof rice with goat meat and a side of plantains (as someone who already loved plantains these were my favorite), as well as tried the meat pie and moin-moin. The counter person ignored me for a few minutes, and then disinterestedly asked, pickup? I said, no. He took my order, again, disinterestedly, then informed me that, dees menu prices arent right and added to the cost of every item I ordered. I will never be returning. Kid-friendliness: I would NEVER bring my child inside that restaurant.

Actually the cheapest price I ve paid for this dish compared to other places. Even though the food really hit, the service is terrible. We walked in and nobody said anything, we were actually confused on the structure of the service for this lol. It was kinda funny actually. And then our appetizers came out at random times instead of all together. Drinks came after appetizers. And then after the entrees were served we never saw the server again. We realized we had to go to the front to pay. So this restaurant has pretty tasty food but weird atmosphere & bad service. I would just get to-go tbh! Worth trying for sure.

Havent been here in a long long time and the restaurant is now under new ownership since the last time Ive been. I got the jollof rice w/ goat meat and it was delicious!!! The plantains were good as well. The gentleman that took my order was very kind, professional, and detailed about the menu items. Will be back!!!

I ordered the egusi soup and I was severely disappointed. It was red and not yellowish in color and there was barely any meat and the soup was very small for a charge of $15!! There were chunks of egusi in the soup instead of it being mixed like around like a soup. The worst part was that the soup tasted like stew and not egusi soup. I know what egusi soup should taste like and this had so much stew dripping from it that it let me know that the person didn t know how to make egusi soup! Check the pictures!
