What an incredibly refreshing place to have in Texas! I am always looking for something other than TexMex and BBQ. The ceviche mix was so fresh and perfectly sized portion. The burger was amazing as well and so was the Caribbean Mule! I even snagged a few of the unique treats on my way out!

We went for dinner on a Monday, early evening. Only one table of 4 was ahead of us. One or two to go orders were picked up while we waited, so no the kitchen was not backed up. We ordered 2 items and an app. It took close to an hour to get our food. The yucca fries came dry. We had to ask for a dipping sauce or ketchup. None of our dishes came out hot, which is what you expect when your food takes so long. It was all just warm, which makes me wonder if it just sat there and died at the expo window. At about the hour mark, the last dish came out (over ten minutes after the first dishes came) was the caesar salad, which makes no sense why that took so long. It s salad and prepared chicken And it came out with bacon. Not sure that was in the description, but pretty sure we would have requested no bacon, as we don t eat pork. And the dressing with the caesar salad? Honey mustard, with bits of bacon in it. The guy offered to go back and take off the bacon and when we requested that a new one be made because we didn t eat pork for religious reasons, he stared at us blankly, and then said well it ll take awhile to make a new one. We had waited so long for our food that we just opted to get a refund for the salad. What we tasted was good, and I imagine would have been better hot, but not good enough to salvage the totality of the experience.

Lea, I give the empanadas a 0, they have a lot of dough, little filling, and the flavor of the dough is insipid. It doesnt have that sweet touch peculiar to a Venezuelan empenada, the rest of the sauces are excellent I give it a 10, the tostones with cheese are very good, if they improve the empanadas it would be a great change.

Food is very expensive here, $20 for a appetizer of ceviche for example. Want shrimp with that chewy fish? Add $3. Bread $5. Also, they add an 18% gratuity without telling you. I nearly left a $10 tip when someone in our party pointed it out. Honestly, well never go back.

$26 for a fish that didnt taste like anything, I ordered battered shrimp and they were shrimp croquettes from Walmart, the grill was terrible, the cassava was frozen to fried, super expensive for the food they serve. I clarify this was the second time I went to give it the benefit of the doubt because the first time I had a soup that looked like it had been frozen for days...terrible experience!

I visited the place with my friends and all the dishes arrived at different times, we couldnt eat together! The food was good, however it seemed extremely expensive to me since they added $6 more than the value for the fish without informing us that on the bill they included a free charge of 18% of the value as an item to which they added the taxes! In short, having lunch on a Sunday for such a high price is not a good option considering that free food puts an end to everything nice that this place can remind you of Venezuela!

Review №65

The food tastes good, however they do not explain the additional costs, it seems to me that they force you to pay an 18% tip because it is a normal thing in the place, for me it is a very expensive abuse for 5 dishes, 2 starters, 5 drinks It was 240 Dollars, it is an exaggeration, which is why places like this lose customers. The truth is very expensive.

Nothing special about this place unless you are looking for alcoholic beverages. Now to be fair one customer raved about 1 of dishes but suggested beef instead of pork. I wasnt super hungry but wanted to check them out. I asked if they had Chips & Queso. They said Yes and I ordered that and some guacamole. It was $15.13 which is little pricey but if thats what they charge then so be it. It took a good bit of time for everyone to get their orders and it wasnt really all that busy for a Friday night. 4 tables with people ( including myself). They brought my food to go (as I asked). When I got home it was Nacho Chips and a cheese sauce poured over them so they were stuck together and gooey. A lot of the sauce was poured out in the bag and on the container. The guacamole had a sour taste. Ended up throwing all the food away!!! They do not know what Chips & Queso are and shouldnt sell this as it. This is definitely a 1 and done for this restaurant. Very disappointing. Just my opinion and experience.

Incredible place... Pleasant from the stay to the staff... Very nice and picturesque. We ordered arepitas with cream and cheese that were very delicious (they could use real Vzlanos cheese) and it would be BRUTAL. For the main course I went exactly to try the DIVINAAAA seafood casserole just as you see it in the photo, it is incredible (if they use quality seafood I cant imagine how spectacular it would be) I say this because you can see that they use the mix and thats what I mean (not I know why they charged us for the bread that came with the additional dish (1$). The fried fish is for one person, we ordered the snapper, if you are a fish lover you will love it. Highly recommended. Wowwww and the piña colada WITHOUT WORDS . If you have a baby, the bathroom does not have a changing table and they do not have towels to dry their hands...

Went yesterday to celebrate my cousins bday and it was a nice place. I have been to several Latin restaurants and I have never see a cachapa for $16.99 and it s small. We ordered a seafood combination for $16.99 and was so disappointed the portion of it and they want to cover it by putting a big pinapple at the bottom. Even the server mentioned that I am not the only one who had complain since it s OVER PRICE. Btw the seafood combination was 3 baby calamari and 3 baby shrimp. Hope they realized that all their dishes are extremely over price. Be aware that they add 18% on your bill. Paid for seafood combination, side of tostones and 2 margaritas and pay $79.21 Taste amazing tho

Delicious food and excellent service. Alejandra and Manuel are amazing hosts and their dishes are the best Caribbean food in the Metroplex.

Reminded me of a cantina in Mexico which I liked. Mexican music was playing.Food was a little pricey.. But then everything is going up.This place is more for the local apartment residents. Also good access to it from the pool and sand volleyball court if you are a resident. Parking is limited. Parking: Parking limited. Wheelchair accessibility: They have limited handicap parking and ramp to access.
