So I normally come here for pickup to get the galbi plate but today I switched it up and got the galbi box and when I tell you this box was AMAZING. Loveddddd the shrimp tempura and allll the sushi they include in the box!! I never had fried sushi (comes with two fried sushi and the rest non fried) but i absolutely LOVED IT. Fried potato and sweet potatoes patty was a twist and loved how great everything tasted along with my galbi the box will be my go to from now on!!

Im lucky to find this place. The sushi is very fresh, and side dishes are delicious. The biggest reason I love it is that they have a lot of korean foods with real authentic Korean tastes as same as my mom did. I dont need to go to Dallas to have them.

A friend introduced me to Umiya. I have been there three times now and the food is amazing. Their rolls are absolutely fabulous; especially, the new Summer Roll. Also the yellowtail sushi is very fresh and delicious.

This was the best chicken fried rice I have had in a long time! I added the pineapples. The vegetable were fresh and crunchy and had the perfect level of spicy hot I enjoyed comfortably. The owner is amazing and she gives back to the community and the staff gives world class service. You will definitely get your moneys worth!

We had been long time regulars here. Were sad when we saw them closed. Then after a few weeks found open again. We had company and decided to order delivery for the first time. We ordered 8 rolls and bulgogi. In special request we asked for extra ginger and soy. In delivery directions we asked for no contact. When the order arrived the delivery person kept ringing the doorbell. Finally they had to be told no contact was requested. We opened the order to find 7 rolls and a small tad of ginger like you usually see. Called the restaurant and a wonderful employee was perfectly professional and kind. After discussion offered to credit us for that missing roll. Very, very nice with perfect customer service. Then just a few minutes later he called back to add that the chef swears they put all rolls in. I again discribed what we had as I looked at the order. He was still respectful and kind and again offered the refund for the single roll. All was well. I felt like a cherished customer and was looking forward to our next visit in the restaurant. THEN about an hour later. . . DUN DUN DUN I got another call from the restaurant. This time it was the chef promising me they did not make a mistake in a fast agrivated tone. She was not going to have it. The tone got angry and agressive. When I got a moment to explain that I counted she kept interrupting and would not calm down. I finally asked if this means I would not be refunded for the single missing roll, she started all over again. I told her we would never be back and I had better not get another call and I was hanging up. The next day or two later, I checked my bank account and not only did they not give us credit for the missing roll, they charged an extra $11.00. I still have the receipt. I will be calling to dispute the charges. Im so sad and disappointed but also very shocked and angry about the phone attack. This is not how you do business.

We used to eat here several times a month BEFORE they were closed by the health dept. When they reopened, we tried take out. They messed up the order, and the fish was tough and very low grade. We called about our missing roll and were treated well, UNTIL, later that evening when some old lady called back griping at my wife arguing with her that we were not missing a roll. YES we were. Told them to never call our phone again, and they have seen the last of our business.

We came here to celebrate finishing our move and it was not only delicious but for a great price! I had a taste for Ramen so my husband and I decided to try this place. He absolutely loved it! We came around 9pm, which was great because it was quiet and the food came out piping hot.

This breaks my heart as a long time customer who tips half of our meal price. We went in yesterday afternoon for lunch, our normal server wasn t there so we got the gentleman, everything was fine until I saw them pick food off the floor and place it on another plate. Please check your prices when paying alongside a menu, apparently this is common but they do not stick to the menu price which is illegal. I will be handling the first issue with the health department and see what avenues are necessary for the second problem.

This place is good, we have been many times and will go back. They always have open tables and reliable service, the only thing that bothered me was on a recent visit they charged me $2 for a extra bowl of white rice with my meal. Not a deal breaker but if I had known it was an up charge, especially that big of one, I would have just gone without.

Worst valentines day experience. They took more than an hour and 30 minutes for our food. The whole restaurant was a chaos. The owner screaming at everyone , catering more to take out than dine in. Most diners left without ordering. Never ever have seen so much chaos in dining , among servers, Manager and owner. Avoid on occasions and if you see it busy, save money and walk away. Kids food was the last one served after repeated reminders.

I am the Owner of 4TH Demention Construction LLC and a goggle guide. This place is absolutely the best period.. we have traveled the USA eating sushi and found this jem. They make there green tea proper and the right way. Not to mention the octopus was beautifully prepared with great presentation but tasted wonderful. The sushi was fresh and also prepared gorgeous. Wanted tempura but didnt want to mess with it at home. So we thought wed try this place, close to home. It was a great choice! We ordered a variety of appetizers, and each one was very good to excellent. The dressing on the sumomoto salad is more than just ponzu, its like a hint of flowers with it, the spicy tuna tacos are a smart idea and fun, the Heart Attack is rich with avo and cream cheese, and the belly was tender and mild teriyaki flavored, just delicious. Large amount of tempura for an app too, and Jay was attentive and polite, thank you, Jay. My only complaint is the paper napkin, smaller and thinner than I needed. The prices, though, are excellent in todays world, and well be returning to sit at the sushi bar next time. Go try it, you wont be disappointed.

We love this place. Everything we ordered was great. The garlic edamame and miso soup was yummy. We started with several orders of nigiri. We took our servers recommendation for fresh flounder nigiri and they were all delicious. Our rolls were beautiful and tasty. We ordered the spicy garlic shrimp roll, ceviche roll and triple roll and will definitely be back for those.

Ordered over $100 worth of food and got 2 tiny containers of spicy mayo afford asking them add more considering the large portions purchases. They also added food that we didn t order and charged us for it. Try#2- since it won t allow me to leave another, NO SPICY MAYO AND NO CHOPSTICKS!!! Even after calling and asking TRASH!! Fantastic spot for sushi! This place seems to be a known secret in Leander that I recently discovered with my husband. There were so many regulars coming in at dinner welcomed like they are family. The sushi and rolls were top-notch. We ordered a big shared platter, so we expected it to take a little while. But they were apologizing for the wait and even gave us complimentary miso soup while we waited.

Great place to eat some good Japanese food. The kids loved the golden California roll, and I really loved the spicy salmon roll. The red snapper that my wife had was delicious. And my katsu ramen was fantastic. Staff seemed a little bit busy so there were some minor details missed, other than that we had a great time. Great place to bring the family, or meetup with friends. Insider tip: dont sit in the booths facing the door at sunrise. Every time someone would open the door I would get a sun burst blast in the face. Literally a blinding experience! Parking: Lots of parking in a big lot.

I want to like this place b/c it s so close to where I live. However, after giving them the benefit of the doubt a few times, I really can t recommend it. Went on a Friday night. It was busy, but we were sat fairly quickly. It took about 15 minutes for someone to come get our drink orders. By then we already knew what we wanted and placed our food orders. There were several people coming in to place pick up orders and they were tended to promptly. We continued to wait another 30 minutes with no food (and we ordered an appetizer). The pick up orders were filled from people who got there after us. They sat a couple at the adjacent table about 30 minutes after we arrived. They got their food while we still did not get ours. No one came by to check on us so we got up to leave and pay our drink bill. Come to find out after almost an hour of waiting our order was never even placed by our server. They did not Comp our drinks and no apology was given. Will not be back.

2 yrs ago, I gave Umiya a 5 star review and they deserved it. I said at the time Always great food! The yakisoba, katsu don, and Vegas roll are favorites of ours Sadly since that time it has really fallen off a cliff. Does anyone who works there even care about what they are doing? All the dishes have taken on a very unauthentic sameness. It was never a place to go for ambiance but it is more ragged even there. Has this gross fishtank been cleaned in recent years? Its like watching a good friend make terrible life decisions. Sucks for us because now we need a new friend.

They havent been putting cream cheese in the Philadelphia rolls for MONTHS now. I thought it was due to the cream cheese shortage that was around for a bit. But when Cedar Park was delivering WITH cream cheese, I thought I would reach out to Leander.....they got defensive as all heck, told me it wasnt true that I was getting Philadelphia rolls WITHOUT cream cheese...but also that they werent calling me a liar. I was sooo disappointed tonight! My husband and I walked in hoping to relax and grab a quick bite. We were asked if we were there for pickup, and we replied no. We were quickly sat down. The young man handed us the menus and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered sprites and he quickly returned with 2 cans of sprite. He asked what we wanted for appetizers and I told him edamame and miso soup my husband asked about an item on the menu and the young man just stood there. When we looked at him he then pointed to the bottom of the item and said if you can read the description is under it. I was quite impressed by the black fingernails which I thought was against the cities guidelines in the food industry.. long story short we thanked him and said we would take our business else where. I would not recommend this place based on the service. We didn t even get to crack open those cold sprites. This young man clearly was having a worse day then me.

Put in an order and waited over 2 hours to never received anything. When I got to the restaurant an hour after the order was placed no one seemed to acknowledge me for 20 minutes. When interrupted someone they just says to wait 20 more minutes but didnt even check that my order was in. After 20 minutes I find out that my order was not even placed and now to had to wait another 35-an hour for my food. They didnt try to accommodate my order or do anything about the situation. Definitely not recommended if you want to be hungry in Valentines Day.

When we order we usually order a lot, for 4 people last bill was $120.00 with a tip. We had 3 appetizers, 1 miso soup, 3 regular rolls & 4 special rolls. The food is great quality, fresh and tasty. The owners are extremely nice. We always modify one or two rolls. And when ever we get take-out they give us an extra appetizer. Definitely recommend this place.

The sushi roll was just ok, the ramen was absolutely flavorless. The chicken was really fatty, flavorless and grey didn t really look like chicken. The beef noodles were ok but again the meat was questionable. Ramen and meat had no trace of spices, salt or anything.

I deliver fresh salmon to this store. They use our Bakkafrost salmon from faroe islands which is the best quality salmon in the world. Other restaurants use less quality salmon from Canada or Norway. Try salmon next time u visit.

The Food is decent but the same cannot be said about the service. Been here twice now and the service both times has been full and lack luster. My wife ordered chicken teriyaki and got nothing but end cutlets with large amounts of fat. I asked the server, respectfully, for chicken that actually had meat and was denied. She said it s all the same and sarcastically said Sorry . Energy is at an all time low at this place. If you eat here, be sure to order for take-out

Sushi was less than average and Udon soup was served to us in a rusted bowl, see pictures. We will not be going back as the place is not so clean, look at how they keep the fish, imagine the back of the restaurant.

Amazing food A must try for yourself well worth the price. Definitely get your monies worth! I had the miso soup with beef, shrimp, and pork my husband had a Bento box, and my daughter had the kid box. We left with leftovers! So worth it!

Overall great dinner with casual vibe and friendly service Generous portions of tasty fish on the sashimi appetizer. I wish I could remember which rolls we ordered because they were outstanding! We tried 2 cold and 1 warm/battered. The cherry blossom roll was really good and the tempura batter on the warm roll was perfect. We also enjoyed a bulgogi bowl. Next time well try their bibimbap. So good!

This place has the best sushi. I am not as adventurous as others in my family when trying new things. We ordered the Umiya Roll and it was phenomenal. We ordered a couple of other sushi rolls that were just as great. I recommend this for a date night.

Great food! Great prices! I fortunately like my sushi fried, no issue with food. Fish tanks look sad. Waitresses were fast and friendly! Low rating only because the cooks you see to your left when you come in, have questionable intentions. I watched 4 families come in and they never said one word to any of them. 3 men of Pacific Islander background came in and it was another story. You would ve thought they were a celebrities of sorts. It didn t just stopped there. The chef brought my food, didn t even hand me my plate. When I asked for a fork I quickly said I ll wait for my waitress and she said yeah and made her way to their table. Now it s a little busy and the waitresses are falling behind and instead of helping them they have only helped these men. Idk if this is normal but this is not how things should work. I implore anyone who has seen the same, to put it on here as well this is ridiculous.

Definitely not Japanese. When we walked in, we were not greeted, like they do in real Japanese restaurants. That was a big clue. In fact they acted like they wanted to greet us but quickly looked away. It was so strange. Nobody was in the restaurant, which was another clue. We sat and waited a long time for a server to come. Our server was awkward and spoke strangely to us. I wasn t sure what was wrong with him. The aquarium with fish was filthy. My wife joked that our sushi comes from it. Our food was okay. The rolls were really good but our server didn t know which ones they were. So we had to pull out the menu and figure it out ourselves. We ordered crab sunomono (pickles) and they were delicious. We also ordered Hawaiian spring rolls and they were very strange and almost stale rice paper. Kinda gross. Overall we were not to impressed with this restaurant. We went to Randall s afterwards and noticed Guaco Taco was packed with people, maybe 100 or more. No wonder Umiya is empty, it needs a lot of work.

Tried this place twice. The first time was mediocre at best. This time around, they messed up one of our orders, and the owner came out of the kitchen and started to lecture my mom about the food. The Cedar Park one is very good, this one is disappointing to say the least.

We ordered takeout and was so excited but unfortunately the fish was not fresh at all! The moment I opened the bag I could smell the fish and it was not a pleasant smell at all! I could tell just by looking at the Sushi that the fish was not fresh but decided to give it a try and I could not finish! The only good thing was Miso soup. Not sure why they have a lot of good reviews but I hope they make some changes and use better quality ingredients as people may get sick if the fish is not fresh.
