The first time Ive ever gone here in my life was a great experience. But the food didnt have flavour explosions like I was expecting. Besides that, the service was very nice, and I love the weed type of vibe they have. Now, no, there isnt any weed in it, but I would find it funny if they ever did that. The food was a bit disappointing a tiny bit. The bread broke down due to the toasty-ness. It had no sauce (wouldve added more flavour) in the sandwich, and the inside of this place isnt that great, self-service drinks, tvs, resterooms near the back, and outdoor seating helped, but it didnt help the almost- burning smell to the place. But it was very clean, no food on the ground, didnt see any splotches, and the service was very nice

Sandwiches were good, good enough even I personally think it s a bit expensive but we will splurge. But when you charged for almost $10!!! For a child half of a sandwich(if you can even call it that ), two small pieces of bread with four thin slices of salami barely cover the small bread, and nothing else in it, plain as can be!! you lost a patron.

Manager told us the salads were premade, which was not what we understood. We just wanted a sandwich in salad form. My wife has cancer and were on keto diet. We just wanted avocado and said wed pay for it. The manager was rude and gave us an insulting amount. Cannot recommend.

Great picture experience again, they always take care of us and our kid. They are very nice people and very delicious subs. I managed a Quiznos Sub for 6 years and can tell you this is the closest place to get the toasted sub correct. Even the Chipotle sauce feels like Quiznos

We stopped here because we had driven by it a few times in the past and I can say we were THOROUGHLY surprised and impressed. The subs were hot crisp and amazing. Had higher hopes for an elevated experience. Instead, we had subs that didnt really impress my family that much as anything special or out of the ordinary. We tried the bikini bottom and Panama red. We did transport back home (which took about 10 minutes) before eating, so we will give another try in person, but right now, its not on the top of my list.

Weird place. I couldnt figure out how to order just a regular ham and cheese sub or a kids meal that I came in for, so I opted for pretzel bites and perused the place while waiting. I didnt appreciate the annoying political messaging throughout the place-- just coming in for food yall! Maybe its popular in Austin proper, but different demographic here. It seems like theyre trying to be extra cool, and its just goofy/ childish, but not in a child-friendly way, like an uncomfortable teenage awkward phase way. The inside/outside bar is a cute idea, and the staff were abundant and very friendly-- however the pretzel bites took a while for what it was, and felt like they had been microwaved (although great flavor). Probably wouldnt bring my people here or come in again, but may be nice for people who want to get back in touch with their teen years while hanging out at the neighborhood bar.

How does Leander have the only Cheeba hut where half the staff can t even smoke legally? I ve been there 4 times food is mids to decent but the service is without a smile, atmosphere doesn t seem stonerish or inviting IF high. I feel like I m going over to a buddies house who s family is super against us being high but puts up with us waking in stoned. Change the atmosphere and service the ratings will soar like higher Willie Nelson on any given day.

Quirky atmosphere with music to match. Fun artwork decorated the walls. The bartender clearly enjoys what he does and its infectious! The food! The bread is the perfect mix of soft and the right amount of toasty! Divine! The menu has something for everyone! I had G-13, which is Turkey and roast beef with plenty of fresh veggies and a yummy house sauce! Others in my party had all the pig, beef aus jus, and a Mediterranean something. They raved about how good their dibs were! I highly recommend this place! I will definitely be going back! Kid-friendliness: If you dont want your kids to see artwork that is cannabis positive, skip bringing them in and get it to go.

I had never been to a Cheba Hut before and I wasn t quite sure what it meant that there were toasted subs. Clearly upon entering the establishment I was a fish out of water. Having never smoked pot in my life, I wondered if perhaps everyone could tell I didn t belong. But the girl at the register was perfectly pleasant to us, despite our lack of high. (It did seem that everyone working there was potentially on a high at the time.) I ordered the Apollo 13 (later reading the reviews and seeing that someone got food poisoning from it . Wondering if I had sentenced myself to bathroom imprisonment for the night.) my fiancé ordered the KGB. The subs arrived without much wait (it was about 9:30pm and very few others there dining). The sandwiches were delicious. My Apollo 13 was particularly mouth-watering. Of course, I don t know yet if I will have any emergency stomach explosions in the night. But so far so good.

I had such a great evening at cheba hut. They have plenty of TVs to watch sports. They currently have the sound on for the NBA finals!! Lets go Mavs! So I was really excited about this place, and all the stuff people say about the kitchen being slow is right but I think theyve gotten better. While the speed has improved, I do think the protein slices have gotten way thinner and not increased in quantity. My biggest problem ssue is, however, the outdoor bar part is always closed. I realize its Texas but it wasnt that hot today, there was a breeze and if you werent prepared to deal with Texas heat with an air curtain or something: why did you put it in? I dont find sitting at the bar inside particularly comfortable unless I can sit at the very end, if I sit along the long stretch it feels like the people at the table behind me are right up against me and Im getting bumped by people trying to walk through.

I was so excited to see Cheba Hut in my area since I loved it so much in Dallas. I ordered my usual White Widow and I was so disappointed First of all the chicken tasted like tuna in texture and flavor, the sandwich was soggy, and a couple hours after eating I was vomiting profusely. The fastest case of food poisoning Ive ever experienced and my meal was over $20. I really hoped for a good experience but this was awful.

Food was great and came out fast! Been going to Cheba Hut for years since I lived in Phoenix. Never a complaint. However, tonight at this location they were playing music too loudly. I could hardly hear my girlfriend. I understand there s a bar but the volume was too much. Kid-friendliness: I don t know about earlier in the day but music being played in the evening is very explicit. Im not one to care whether a song is explicit or not but for parents that don t want their kids listening to that, avoid going here for dinner.

Went there for the first time on 4/20 for the the 420 celebration. Simply said it was fantastic. My experience with cashier was cordial but they were not helpful at all just stood there and provided no assistance at all. I did my research before going but the ordering was still a little confusing. What we did order was not correct. Overall the food was ok not worth the fuss at all literally was dry and had no flavor. Also asked for honey mustard which apparently is an additional charge and wasnt told. It wouldnt be a problem if they actually put some on the food so that was frustrating. It was amazing as usual. I have visited the other Cheba hut toasted subs and I was so happy when I saw they were opening near my house. One of my favorite sandwich places that we love to visit. Today we decided to bring my in laws here too. My mom in law is a vegetarian like me. She was so excited about all the sandwich options. Let s start with what we ate. My father in-law tried the Jamaican red which was grilled chicken with buffalo sauce. My mom in law tried the power plant. My husband had the Acapulco which is grilled chicken with barbecue sauce and I tried the Mushroom Magic. All the sandwiches were amazing. It was so good, tasty. We also surprised my mom in-law with a cookie and it was heaven. Amazing cookie with the right amount of sweetness. We will definitely be back here again.

I was very excited to know that Leander is finally getting a sandwich spot. I tried their AK-47 which is a Fench Dip Sandwich. It was bad :(. The worst French Dip I have ever eaten. The mushrooms were the size of diced carrots and were raw. The quick toasting didn t do much to them. The au jus was straight out of a freezer, microwaved and poured in a cup. I love a good sandwich, I might give these guys one more try. I was very disappointed with my sandwich.

Had the 5-0. Very good sub. The wait is a tad long, mind you there is a disclaimer at the register saying dont expect your food out fast as they take their time to craft your sandwich. It is a little pricey. I got the 8inch, drink, and chips bringing my total to 18 dollars. Also just in case you do not know, the restaurant is 420 themed. So some of the art, stickers on windows, the names of sandwiches, etc., are all apart of their 420 theme. Just a heads up in case some of yall do not know slang. Aka google Cheeba.

I had the Midwest sub and it was really good! I do think the prices were a bit high for what you get and the wait times are noticeably long. The unique flavor combinations are fun to see and I look forward to trying that BLT with the honey sriracha sauce in the future. Edit: I tried the BLT and the wait time was dramatically reduced and the food was outstanding. I have never eaten a sandwich so fast in my life.

i dont really know if 1 star is appropriate for this situation since i never got my food. i walked in and ordered 2 sandwiches to go, paid $28+ with tip, sat down and waited. 45 minutes later i got tired of waiting and went to ask about my food. i was ignored by several people after politely saying excuse me. when i finally got someones attention i find out that they gave my food to someone else. and apparently remaking my food or getting a refund wasnt an option. i really dont even know how to process this. all i know is that im out almost $30 and waisted 45+ minutes of my evening and im still hungry.

I was excited to try a new place in Leander, Cheba Hut. When I arrived it was a little busy with a few customers ahead of me. No big deal in my experience at lunchtime eateries, so I ordered. The wait for a sandwich was too long. The French Onion soup was not hot nor warm, maybe room temperature warm. The taste was somewhat good, but it wasn t hot. After a long wait, I got my sub. It was pretty good and packed with flavor, but the extended unnecessary wait resulted in less star. Hopefully, this eatery just needs time to establish timely meals served.

I was really excited to see a new sandwich place in my neighborhood. Omg, was I disappointed! I ordered a 8 Italian sandwich for $11. I was expecting to be wowed! I was not. All of the ingredients were super plain. I could have gone to that sandwich shop that rhymes with May and paid a lot less. Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the cashier said to me after my cc went through, Just go ahead and tip & sign. Ya, what? I will almost always tip in a counter situation, but it really irks me when people expect me too. They do have a really cool outdoor bar and quite a few beer choices.

We ordered via Grub-Hub , hubby had the K-Mist & I had rhe 5-0 , both were absolutely delicious!! Bread is hearty , fresh , chewy the way it should be , meats , and veggies were fresh .. Im now obsessed and will be trying so many things !!

We payed for a rice crispy treat that was located behind the counter. When we grabbed our bag of food it wasn t in there. We asked the woman and she said go get in line and buy it and we tried to explain to her that we did and she said you can get back in line and get it The line was long and we ended up leaving without the item we paid for. Super strange interaction and incredibly rude. Good sandwiches rude staff

Sometimes you roll the dice with a new place in town, but Cheba did NOT disappoint. Will be back for a cocktail too next time. The 5-0 (All about the Pig) was my choice, and that rocked my tastebuds. Went the other day during opening week and it was fantastic! The place was super busy; I was warned that it might be a 30 minute wait for our food before ordering.. I was in it to win it. Didnt take close to 30 mins and it was great sitting and enjoying the atmosphere while waiting for our amazing Thai Stick Blunt! :) Cant wait to go again, and again.. theres a LOT of sandwiches that need to be consumed.

Yikes, was reallly looking forward to trying this. It wasn t busy when I walked in and I ordered at the counter to go. They never said anything about it taking 30 minutes. There was probably 5 people inside but I guess they keep serving online orders. I get up from my seat after 20 minutes since I never heard my name called and waited at the pick up counter. I wasn t staring down the staff or asking for anything when this very rude gray haired lady with a southern accent came up to me and started angrily asking me what my name was. After I tell her she just says yeah that s not even ready yet . I waited a few more minutes and saw she was trying to talk to me from like 6 feet away with music blasting, I stepped in closer and said I m sorry I didn t hear that . She just throws up her hands and starts repeating that my sandwich was next while yelling to where all the patrons were looking at her. I don t know if they were pissed that I didn t tip on a $16 sandwich but I never got rude or anything with them. I gave them over minutes just to get yelled at. Don t come here!

If you re not ready to open, don t open. 45 min wait after ordering in the app (30 mins after promised time). Got home and had the completely wrong food, but the ticket was correct. A couple others complained to the manager in person; I heard about how they are all new, and I get it. Just don t open if you re not ready! At the very least let your customers know how long a wait to expect.
