Soul Fighters is a family-oriented place that is very very welcoming for all ages and levels. Regardless of age or skill level, you will always receive 100% attention from the professors and coaches. If your goal is to compete Soul Fighters also offers classes and skills that will prepare you. If your kiddos are just getting into Jiu Jitsu I highly recommend Soul Fighters, Professor Bruno and Coaches are so amazing with the kids! Its rare to find business owners who sacrifice their own time to support their clients, but this gym does exactly that. If youre competing, you can be assured that youll always have someone by your side coaching you. For example, Professor Bruno drove to Dallas to support and coach in a tournament and then immediately traveled to Houston to coach his students at another event on Fathers Day. The dedication and knowledge at this gym are truly remarkable!

We moved to Leander from Round Rock and looked for a good JJ club. We visited 5 clubs nearby and came back to Professor Bruno club. Our two sons (6 and 8) have been training here for more than a year and we absolutely love it. The attention to details, attitude, and overall atmosphere of the club is fantastic. We are looking forward for our sons to keep growing here and enjoying the amazing classes of Professor Bruno.

Ive been training jiu jitsu at Bruno Guimaraes BJJ academy for the past few months and it has been an amazing experience. I felt at home from day 1 because everyone on the mats is so welcoming and always willing to help out with anything you need. The academy has a great, family-oriented culture while also being deeply rooted in competition. It is a place where you can train according to your goals, whether it be training for competition or just recreationally. Professor Bruno has done an amazing job with the gym and I highly recommend anyone in the area to pop in for a class!

I didnt know anything about jiu jitsu coming into class but Ive learned sooo much just within my first 3 classes. I was really nervous since its such a male dominated sport but its been really refreshing having women in the class to pair up and practice with. Even the men in the class are extremely patient, friendly and easy to work with. Theres people from all ages trying something new & everyone is here to push and support each other to be better! Ive tried jiu jitsu trial classes at other gyms but this is the one that felt the most inviting. Ill be here for a while!

My daughter has been attending jiu jitsu classes here for the last few months and loves it. Professor Bruno is very good at being patient when teaching the small kids, but still being firm when they need to listen and pay attention. The class never feels unorganized or unsafe. The kids always look like they are having a blast during class. Coach T and Coach Brady are excellent with the kids as well, especially when it comes to giving them individual attention when the kids need more help. My daughter has learned so much in a short amount of time and it is thanks to Professor Bruno and the other coaches hard work and patience every day with them!

WOW, So much to say.. I think Im in my 5th month. Really didnt know what to expect. Im 54 57 wasover weight 233lbs. Lifted weights since I was a kid. One day just said I want to try something different weight lifting isnt working for me. Just moved to TX from GA. I googled BJJ gyms. Went through all of them online, and came across Bruno Guimaraes BJJ Academy. Just showed up one day, and watched a practice, and couple of the guys Eric & T walked over SUPER nice. Asked if they could help or I had any questions. I wanted to try it out. so I did, and there was no pressure to sign up. I was told do some classes before I signed up. After couple of classes signed up, and 5 months later ive lost 30lbs. Met so many new friends. That gym is like a big family, and now that ive met everyone, and Bruno & Lana (wife) are amazing along with everyone else. Youre never too old, and theres nothing stopping from anything in life, but yourself. Just do it! I highly recommend this academy to everyone 100%.

Great classes, positive and fun atmosphere for kids. Bruno teaches the kids more than BJJ. Valuable lessons on being humble, and being a good person. My son enjoys learning BJJ and I like the lessons hes learning about competing and not quiting on yourself when things get difficult.

I am so impressed by Bruno Guimaraes! His consistent relaxed and confident demeanor sets the tone for each class, no matter the age group. He has a natural ability to teach discipline and respect to the active, unfocused student or the one who needs extra time to be comfortable enough to even join in. He meets each individual with acceptance and develops a bond with each one to know specifically how to approach and instruct effectively. This is an authentic Brazilian jiujitsu academy led by knowledgeable, credible instructors who take the time to perfect technique and build confidence by giving individual focus and specific recognition to each student. The classes are structured and all students are respectful and encouraging to each other. There has been a notable difference in my 7 & 9 year old since starting the academy only 2 months ago. They are more cognizant, respectful, motivated, self-directed, and disciplined. What I can truly appreciate is that the physical dexterity and cognitive agility gained through this practice are lifelong skills that will continue to serve and influence our family for years to come.

If you are looking for an authentic Brazilian jiu-jitsu teacher, straight from the roots of Rio de Janeiro, look no further Bruno is an excellent teacher, very charismatic and precise to his teachings. Worth adding, if you have any bones that need realigning, come join his class. Here, we get free cracking on our neck, spine, wrist, feet and others. I always leave here feeling like I just went to my chiropractor. Over all, I love going here and I highly recommend you join us also! Thank you, Bruno for your tremendous leadership and mentorship.

I was going through a hard time and hadn t trained during COVID. On a whim, my wife nudged me to go meet the professor. As I walked in, the gym was already in the process of closing down for the night as I saw Professor Bruno cleaning the mats. I apologized and told him I would come back another time. He insisted that I stay and he talked with me for about 45 minutes. I shared many concerns, some aspects of my life and the challenges I had been dealing with. He listened to me the entire time and then simply looked at me and said, just come . If you are looking for a fantastic place to train, a group of people that treat each other like family and a culture that helps you become the best form of yourself, all I will say to you is just come .

My son started at this gym 6 months ago and he loves it. Professor Bruno is a great teacher and has an excellent team around him to teach every kid in the class. He teaches Jiu Jitsu but also teaches kids descipline and respect. All the kids are great, this has been an all-around positive experience for our son and us.

Great place! Our son has been going since early this year and loves it! I never thought he would be so involved in a sport as he is now. Ive trained Jiu Jitsu for about 2 years before starting with Professor Bruno and almost immediately he was able to identify my weak points and gave me ways to improve my game. He is really big on fundamentals and it doesnt matter what belt you are. Before class we are all drilling the basics, then through out class we are progressing from stand up towards submissions. Safety is his number one priority so even if you have past injuries, he finds a way to adapt the techniques to your ability and not the other way around. So if youre looking for a place to start your BJJ journey or if youve been training and are ready to start competing, give Professor Bruno a try. You wont regret it.

Bruno is Amazing! My two sons along with now myself are training under him. I can not say enough good about Bruno and his program. His kids program is Top Notch. We have a wonderful group of kids that work very hard, struggle together, make each other better and through all that have become good friends and along with us parents its all one big family. Bruno has a wonderful gift with how he teaches our kiddos and well us adults too. He does a great job of building everyone up. There is no b.s. fluff here. Just effective, fundamental based training that has produced great results on many levels recreationally and in competition. Do yourself a favor. My son has worked with Professor Bruno for about 15 months, and in that time he has grown so much in his confidence and skill. Professor Bruno knows when to be calm and supportive to the kids, and when to be a stern leader to get through normal kid stubbornness.
