We were incredibly fortunate to receive a 2-night stay at the Sol Naciente casita and a group cooking class for our 1 year anniversary and it was a truly magical and relaxing experience. The property is so beautiful and coupled with the clean and comfortable accommodations, provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Austin. The zen garden aesthetic and stunning views were truly amazing to take in. We had an absolute blast at the group cooking class. Sandie, the instructor/owner, was fantastic, and her husband/owner, Joe, grilled up some incredible steaks. We spent several hours enjoying wine and creating delicious dishes alongside a small group of friendly strangers. It was one of the best cooking classes weve ever taken! Overall, this was an incredibly relaxing and memorable experience. We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend a few days at this beautiful ranch and recharge our batteries.

Lovely place. My husband and I went for a couple of nights and stayed in the second floor casita (1 of 4). We enjoyed the infinity pool (complete with nice floats, bathroom, outdoor kitchen and more) and the personal sauna. While the casitas are somewhat close together, there is still a fair amount of privacy with the way they are arranged. Also several spots on the property you can go and enjoy solitude with a view. Sandi and Joe were excellent hosts with lots of attention to details that we appreciated. (Beach towels, sauna towels, robes in the room.) Looking forward to going back and maybe checking out the cooking classes that are periodically offered.

My husband and I spent two nights at the Mystic Sky Ranch in one of their luxurious casitas, and from the moment we arrived it felt like arriving home. The casita we stayed in was beautifully appointed, lovely linens, comfy chairs, and luxurious bathrobes to lounge in. The pool area is gorgeous, overlooking the hill country, with all sort of flora and fauna to enjoy in the mid May sun. However the best thing about the property are the owners Sandie and Joe. They are the most welcoming hosts you could ask for - they make you feel like family and you re immediately at ease. We wished we could have spent more time in this special place and if we ever return to the hill country, we know where we ll stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mystic Sky Ranch for a business trip, and I am compelled to share my exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that Mystic Sky Ranch is more than just a place to stay its a haven of tranquility and luxury nestled in natures embrace. The first thing that struck me was the breathtaking setting. The ranch is situated amidst rolling hills, surrounded by lush greenery, and offers views that are nothing short of magical. The name Mystic Sky Ranch couldnt be more fitting, as the vast expanse of sky seemed to blend seamlessly with the landscape, creating an awe-inspiring backdrop for both work and relaxation. The accommodations in the casitas are amazing. The casita I stayed in was not only impeccably clean and well-appointed but also designed with a keen eye for detail. The rustic charm of the decor added a touch of warmth, making it feel like a home away from home. The comfortable bed and plush amenities ensured a restful nights sleep, essential for anyone on a business trip. For those moments of relaxation, Mystic Sky Ranch offers a range of amenities, including a pool and sauna. In conclusion, Mystic Sky Ranch exceeded my expectations on every front. It seamlessly blended business and leisure, providing a setting conducive to productivity while offering a retreat-like atmosphere. Meals were lovingly prepared and delicious. If youre looking for a business trip experience that combines serenity, luxury, and top-notch service, Mystic Sky Ranch is the destination of choice. I wholeheartedly recommend it and eagerly anticipate my next opportunity to return.

My recent company retreat at Mystic Sky Ranch was great experience. The ranch, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, offered a serene environment to reconnect with nature and with colleagues. The views of the surrounding hills from the casitas are wonderful. Beyond the beautiful backdrop, the ranch provided a welcoming space for our team to come together. The spacious common areas facilitated casual conversations and collaboration, while the individual casitas offered quiet spots for individual reflection. The food at the Ranch was equally impressive. Each meal showcasing fresh, local ingredients prepared with care. Thank you Sandie! .

Our group stayed at the ranch last weekend and were blown away by how peaceful and beautiful the property is. The owners, Sandie & Joe, are the best and made sure that everything was perfect for us. The casitas are all unique, super clean, very well stocked with modern amenities and have comfy furniture & beds. The property is gorgeous and secluded with tons of wildlife and multiple, private sitting areas for relaxing. If youre bringing kids, there is a huge pool and a nearby bocce court. The pool deck has a pavilion with plenty of space for entertaining and/or escaping the sun. This was our favorite place in the evenings to relax and watch the sunset. We didnt have an event at The Barn, but we did tour it and the commercial kitchen. Both are top-of-the-line and would be perfect for a wedding or family reunion. I really cant say enough nice things about the property and its owners.

I had a really lovely stay at Mystic Sky Ranch. The property was beautiful, well maintained, and the casitas were very nice. The bed was very comfortable, and it was a really nice space to spend time in. I appreciate how the interior was decorated as well. The owners dropped off muffins for us on Saturday and that was really sweet, and the muffins were delicious. I didnt get a chance to swim, but my friends and I did marvel at how lovely the swimming pool looked. The owners Sandy and Joe were kind and responsive. I would absolutely come and stay here again in the future. My only feedback is it would be nice to connect to a Wi-Fi signal within the room.

I just arrived home from Mystic Sky Ranch and I m ready to plan another trip. This last weekend we attended our 3rd cooking class with Sibby Barrett. Saturday we made pizzas in the outdoor oven. The setting was beautiful, company delightful and food delicious. Sibby gave us a lesson on pizza dough and we created our own individual pizzas from almost twenty topping choices. A fresh salad and then delectable limoncello cupcakes topped off the meal. We spent an enjoyable 3 nights in one of the casitas at the ranch. Mornings enjoying eating homemade muffins, the birds singing in the trees, deer and the sunrise, afternoons exploring the towns in the area and evenings in the resort style pool or by the fire. Always a wonderful getaway thanks to Sandie and Joe. Thank you for a wonderful getaway. We will return!

Mystic Ranch was the best experience for four couples looking to celebrate milestone birthdays. College roommates, we traveled from California, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Rhode Island to celebrate together. Each couple selected a casita. They were all fantastic and unique. There were many common areas to all be together, but privacy when desired. Sandie and Joe have thought of everything from amazing muffins delivered to our door (in the coolest lunchboxes ever)...to black washcloths to avoid makeup stains... to cute and inspirational messages scattered throughout the casitas. In-room coffee makers (with TEA!) were great to accompany mornings sitting outside taking in the serene surroundings. And I dont know if planned or not, but Springsteens Born to Run vinyl was cued up on our turntable we are from NJ. There are no words to describe the amazing pool and outdoor kitchen. Sandie and Joe are the best hosts with great knowledge of the entire area. Their love and respect for the property is evident in every aspect Mystic Sky Ranch. The location is perfect to tour Fredericksburgs and Dripping Springs wineries and a fascinating trip to Lukenbach (if you know you know or google it). Mystic Sky Ranch is an easy ride from Austin. Two things we didnt do to add to next time luxuriate in the sauna and have Chef Sibby come in and cook in the incredible meal at the jaw dropping on-site kitchen.

I went for a super meditative walk on the East side of the property and it was wonderful. Our place had a small microwave, a small wine style refrigerator and plenty of makings for coffee and tea (small plates and utensils available for snacks as well). Saturday morning we had Banana Bread dropped off by the owners! Nice touch. If you need ice, bring your own from Dripping Springs. Pedernales State park is 20 min away and I highly recommend a visit to the falls. Don t hesitate to give this wonderful place a try. You ll love it!

Then off to our rooms. Wow!! So pretty and comfortable!! Since we had 8 of us, we had all the rooms. Every one of them were comfortable and had luscious bedding. After a good nights rest, we all got together outside and played cards with Sandie then bringing us warm muffins in antique lunch pails!! That evening we had a cooking class right there on site in an amazing kitchen with Sibby, her Sister Kathy, and Sandie teaching us all a bit of French Cuisine The food was absolutely amazing!!! I would highly recommend going to Mystic Ranch to unwind and unplug!! Thank you Sandie for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!!

5 Star Review for Mystic Sky Ranch! My friend and I just returned from Mystic Sky Ranch and cannot stop talking about the beautiful acreage, stylish comfortable Casitas and stunning peace and quiet of the property. Hosted by welcoming owners Sandie and Joe Ward, we were treated to a delicious dinner of Pesto Crusted Salmon on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and spinach followed by Raspberry Chocolate Mousse. Refreshing fizzy Hibiscus Mocktails with Hibiscus and rose tea, lime juice, Topo Chico and a hibiscus flower (by Cookie & Kate) were summer in a glass! Evening welcomed us with relaxation as we tucked ourselves into our luxury bed, sheets and pillows. A delivery of warm banana nut bread, cleverly served in a vintage Western-themed lunchbox, arrived the next morning to our door. Swoon! The serene outdoor infinity pool (with outdoor kitchen entertaining area) with sparkling clear water of the perfect temperature was the perfect place to unwind. Wimberley is a short ride away with shops and lunch at The Leaning Pear did not disappoint. Having never traveled to the Hill Country of Texas, we were pleasantly surprised at the bounty of sunflowers and day lilies at nearby Arnosky Family Farms. Love to return to the immense commercial kitchen for a future cooking class! The beautifully lit barn has a huge dance floor just right for a rehearsal dinner or wedding. Set in nature, a retreat would be fantastic here! When you go, and you must, make sure to visit Hill Country Lavender 5 minutes away and take in the panoramic sunset views from cobalt blue Adirondack chairs overlooking the valley. If you are lucky enough to meet the owners, their warmth and generosity of spirit will enhance the already peaceful and contemplative space. It was easy to put aside our busy lives, breathe in the clean fresh air, and take time to be mindful of all the surrounding beauty

The Mystic Sky Ranch was a perfect convenient getaway for friends who live throughout the US. The setting was outstanding with four cute and comfortable casitas, a commercial kitchen and large dining area so we can all help prepare, eat and enjoy our meals together. Sandie and Joe were gracious hosts. They coordinated activities such as Yoga, massages, nature walks, boating, Texas BBQ and a lovely poolside dinner. The only problem was the vacation was too short.......we will return !!

Just left this gorgeous property and we highly recommend! For those looking for a tranquil, off the beaten path place to unwind and connect with nature, this is your destination. Beautiful flora and fauna nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, it s peaceful and secluded, but not far from all the fun towns in the surrounding area: Blanco, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Johnson City, Fredericksburg, etc. Hosts Sandie and Joe know what they re doing. Each casita is thoughtfully prepared and the infinity pool is glorious. Just go.

I booked this place to stay in the area during college grad time for my mother and I. This place is beautiful. I really enjoyed the patio off the back of our cabin, the hammock among the trees lit by solar lights at night, and the pool was was such a refresher after a run at the Blanco State Park. I will admit it had a few down falls. When I booked I requested in the comments section for the pull out sofa to be prepared. ( I was giving my mother the bed, so Id sleep on the pull out sofa that was advertised) It was not prepared upon arrival, that is OK I found the linens and put them on myself- not ideal though after a 5 hour drive. The photos on the website lead you believe you may enjoy some fruit or perhaps a baked good in the morning, this was not the case. (This could be some misunderstanding?) Coffee was accessible via Keurig, however there was not enough stocked for two people to enjoy each morning we booked. Would I stay again? Yes. Price point wise though Id hoped to feel a little more accommodated. I would simply plan better for our breakfast and coffee. Something I believe is note worthy is that I heard this place is under new ownership, perhaps the slight down falls are due to a transitionary period/ or learning curve. Edit: The owner did reach out after this review to remedy some of the concerns I had. I believe the owner truly cares about the guests that stay here. I would gladly stay here again, and I appreciated her reaching out to make things right! Adding a star for service!

I had a wonderful experience at Mystic Sky Ranch. The owners are warm and welcoming. The casita was charming and comfortable. I enjoyed spending time outdoors. The lavender garden is beautiful and the view from that area is extra gorgeous. And, the negative edge pool was a great escape from the heat. I highly recommend a visit to Mystic Sky Ranch.

How beautiful, peaceful and relaxing! We loved our stay here and will be back often. The owners are wonderful - thank you for the hospitality and conversation Joe, Sandie and family! 16 species of birds observed on the stone porch outside our room, and one new species for my personal book: a female Scott s Oriole. Rooms are super clean & comfortable, the pool and outdoor kitchen is amazing. What a wonderful use of this calming part of the Texas Hill Country. Already planning our next visit. Thanks for sharing it! Ryan & Tiffany

I had the best time at Mystic Sky Ranch! Chef Sibby is such a character and the food we created with her guidance was phenomenal. I was expecting a great cooking class, and I got that, but the experience felt more like a night in with close friends. We just happened to be seamlessly making a fantastic meal together! After a few glasses of lovely wine, I was patting myself on the back for booking a casita. It was so cute y all! Tons of thoughtful details and the comfiest bed ever. The owners, Sandie and Joe, treated us like family and even delivered fresh baked muffins in a vintage lunchbox to our porch in the morning! I took full advantage of the sauna and I look forward to admiring the beautiful view from the infinity edge pool on my next visit!

We live in Houston and have been making the drive to stay here in one of the casitas and also attend some of the cooking classes for over 10 years. Weve been in every season and every type of weather. The views are beautiful every time and the feel of the place is ultimate in relaxation. There are 4 casitas with mini kitchens and outdoor spaces, a bocce ball court, a pool and outdoor kitchen. You can bring your own food or drive into Blanco, Wimberly or Dripping Springs to eat. The hosts Sandie and Joe are wonderful and take care of your every need.
