Rude customer service, menu shows Chinese food on the menu and the order was taken and accepted for 30 min, after waiting we inquired about Manchurian that we ordered and we were told that they don t have it, on top of that we were offered samosas in place of Manchurian but the price is not even similar between the two. We like Bombay chaat place down the street instead as they keep us well informed firsthand on what they don t have available, plus they offer us alternatives based on our choice from the menu at no extra cost

Visited this weekend. A must-go place for kabab lovers who enjoy outdoor sitting. Superb ambience. Very upbeat and fun with lights all around. Theres a little play area for small children. They have multiple TVs and the big heavy duty wall mounted fans all around so even on a hot August night, it felt good enough to sit out. The entire atmosphere has a desi vibe to it which makes this place unique. Service: There is one gentleman who knows literally everything and hes constantly running around making sure everything is running smooth. If youre struggling with anything, hes either watching you - ready to help or just make eye contact him and hes there to help. Not thrilled by the rest of the staff but this guy makes up for all of them. Food: *Samosas, 2/10. = They were not fresh, peas turned hard like brittle. *Chicken Soup =2/10. The flavor was more of a bland curry like with about 2-3 small pieces of chicken. I love soups and this was a total disappointment. *Garlic naan: 9/10. Very fresh and tasted like homemade. *Kababs: 9/10. We tried the lamb boti, chicken malai kabab and chapeli kabab. All were extremely flavorful and tender. They took a while to bring these out and it makes why! Loved all the kababs. These came with Rotis that we werent thrilled about. But the garlic naans we ordered on the side were very good. *Chutneys & Raita - 9/10. Were going back for the overall experience and especially for the kababs. I hope they will improve appetizer qualities.

SAVE YOURSELF: We ordered Chaplin kabab and Chicken Masala and 2 naans. Chaplin Kabab came in 20 minut s, but chicken masala never came . After 50 minutes I went to check and he said it will be ready in 2 mins. When again after 10 mins and nothing. Asked for money back and cancel the order . He gave me food in next 2 minutes than I insisted on not taking it and just wanting my money back ... He said take the food and he will refund money .. I have not received the money and . I didnt get my 2 naans either .. I did not eat that food because I dont know what he must have done to my food after is asked for refund. Wasted .ore than an hour and the service was horrible.

We recently visited the food trucks at Desi Dhaba Bar and Grill in Leander, Texas, and it was a really fun experience! The variety of cuisines available was incredible, with options ranging from Indian Chinese, grilled dishes, and Thai food to Southern Indian delicacies. Thai and indo Chinese food were really good. What truly stood out was not just the amazing food, but the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. A special mention goes to Kanny, who was exceptionally helpful and kind, ensuring that our visit was enjoyable. The blend of delicious food and great hospitality makes this place a must-visit. Highly recommended! Parking: Enough space

A great place for kababs. Really tender chapli kanan and need kabab. Lamb one had a bit lamby flavor if u dont mind that then its pretty good too. Ambience is good. Wait is a little higher. You can bring your own drinks and drink from there while enjoying their food. A very Indian street side dhaba look place. Depending on the time you might find higher wait times. So call before you go. Decent amount of parking is there We love their freshly made rumali rotis. Its pretty good. Parking: There was a decent amount of parking we were able to find parking every time we went. Kid-friendliness: They can have fun running around as long as they wont cause trouble for other customers there. Or they can just lie down on the coat looking at the sky. They have nuggets and fries and generally kids items are served faster.

We ordered Chicken sheik kabab: serve two pieces, seems forgot to pre heat. Murgh Tikka: Pre heated and served Paneer butter masala: more watery than gravy Butter Naan: Thick bread, no where you feel the crispness of Dhaba Samosa Chat: acceptable but quantity is low Vegetarian: served chicken wrap for veg order Service: They don t know what they serve. All items served in togo boxes, not sure in India which Dhabha ppl serve like this. Verdict: Food is expensive, the chicken feels pre cooked and just heating up before serve. Worst behavior and service. Do not recommend this place.

We went there to pick up the starters and pack the mains to eat at home. Food wise, I think this is the closest I can get to food from home in Delhi, the flavors are very strong and it s not your average Indian restaurants, All of the kebabs are made fresh and we had the malai boti kebab and it was delicious, soft and juicy! The butter chicken and murg makhani khadai was very very close to Delhi style and I love every bite of it. Only nitpick is that it had a lot of oil which we were to seperate enough of .but the taste was killer. They also had roomali roti which is something I have not found anywhere in Austin! a little dissatisfied with the service which was setup there, there was only 1 person taking order and we wait over 25 min and there was no sense of who was being served first.

This is a unique experience considering you are visiting a dhaba in the US. They have tried to bring that Dhaba style outdoor seating and there is enough parking available. Since they open only at night, the weather is not too bad to sit outside for dining. The food is really awesome, kebabs were so so good and soft and full of flavors. There are not many options for kids though if spice level is a concern. Atmosphere is rated high for its unique experience outdoors. Will definitely visit again. Totally recommend their food.

We were 10 people and it just recently rained in Austin. The wind was blowing, we sat underneath a tree, there were indian chairs that were big enough to lay down. The non veg starters were really good but the vegetarian food was okayish. The parathas & daal were decent. If you come here make sure you go late in the day if its summer, make sure you sit under a tree, order daal, parathas & non veg starters. I liked the gulab jamun but others didnt like it so much. The falooda was okayish. But I loved the vibe of this place very much

They have some vegetarian items on the menu but I wouldn t order them again. On various occasions it s been subpar and it s always jokingly brushed off with the excuse that the place is really only for meat-eaters. The aloo tikki burger, which had two slider patties in it, was not made of potatoes. When brought up to their attention, we were told it s mixed with black beans. If it s so, then advertise it as such. To me and my friend, it was clearly frozen ones, so were the fries. But the owner/chef stoutly defended it that they make it themselves. The atmosphere is fine, service is average. I wouldn t recommend it for vegetarians though.

This place has a good ambiance and a lot of items to offer who is a real foodie. The menu is heaven for all non-vegetarian lovers. The barbecue menu and curries are awesome, but I felt that Naans, Parathas, and Rumali Roti were all frozen and then served. The Rumali Roti that they served me was a BIG disappointment and not the real Rumali roti which I usually have in India. I would recommend that they set up a Tandoor and make fresh (Naans, Rumali Roti, and Parathas) instead of serving frozen. I also felt that the Chicken was a bit undercooked but they should work on it. Overall, it is a good place, but would really look forward to seeing them serve original breads that people eat in India.

Went with my Indian friend. She was disappointed they were out of the mutton brain. I was disappointed we spent 90 in food and not told I should have got rice and naan as a first timer. Yes, get rice and bread. We made our own at home. I think in retrospect how much better our experience would have been with with 2 dollars in rice. At this point way too much for average food, if you like I guess Indian food. Ive had better. The grill smelled amazing but it just did not transfer to the food. I wanted to like it, but too many fundamental flaws for the cost for me to recommend. Not even Togo napkins or utensils. Spending that much, it should be mandatory.

If you re into waiting upwards of 30-40mins on two to-go items at a food truck and love chewy beef jerky like beef strips laid over a light sprinkle of julienned red onions and cabbage, then this place is for you. $21.63 later and I m still waiting to be impressed. It s over priced, overly slow service and overly confusing with their order/pick up process. Plus you don t get a number or anything for Togo, so you just have to wait and guess you re order is ready. Not a good first impression all the way around. I have better experience at McDonalds.

This is what we have been missing in Austin!!! Authentic Dhaba food!!! The ambiance is super good and it feels like we are back in India/Pakistan s original Dhaba. The quality of the food was mouthwatering! Another thing you will have guaranteed here is the quality of the meat! You will get fresh Halal Meat and you can feel the quality difference once you explore the food here

I m not sure why this place has a low review but Desi Dhaba is my new favorite spot for eating desi food! The chaat is out of this world good! A great combination of savory and sweet. The malai boti is also very fun. The meat is made fresh everyday and the vibe at night is so fun. You truly feel you are hanging out at a dhaba. The owner is passionate about his business and makes sure his customers are happy. Can t wait to come back and visit again.

I was very excited to try out this place. I was told to expect a dhaba experience similar to Indian dhabas. We tried chicken kebab wrap, paneer butter masala and roomali roti. Chicken kebab wrap was decent but nothing special. I was very excited to have roomali roti as it has been one of my favorites in India and have not ever had in Austin, but it was very meh. The paneer disappointed me. The person who takes the order is also super rude and not at all helpful when asked about items on the menu. The parking is also a big problem. Considering all of these things I doubt I will be coming here again.

For late night foodies, this is the only place that is open past 10 PM. The food is good. It just takes quite a while to order and receive food. They play Indian music and with outdoor setting, it feels authentic Indian dhaba

Went on a friday 8 pm. Setup is okay, but horrible food. Tried chicken kabebs, kebab roll, chicken tenders and naan. Kebabs seemed to be old and reheated, stale taste on everything. Naan seems to be from frozen. Please dont waste money here.

Great little place. The food was absolutely delicious. We only got BBQ items and it was perfect. It is a dhaba but you still get great service and it s actually very organized. Went on a Sunday night around 9pm and all of the tables were full and everyone was enjoying themselves. Service was pretty good, especially for a dhaba and even better than some restaurants. Only issue is the parking lot area is kinda small and almost always full.

The setup and environment is different which makes you feel comfortable. We ordered chicken and mutton kebab. Mutton was undercooked. We mentioned, they re-did it again. Overall the items were a little salty. Rumali roti was more like normal roti rather than thin roti. If i had to go again i would only choose chicken items.

Food was tasty. Open during late hours. Seating and parking spots were limited. Curry was oily and less in quantity. Parotta (South India style) was better than Naan. Few of the items in the menu were not available. We ordered 2 starter, 3 curries, 10 Parotta and 2 Naan for 6 people, it was filling and extra. Lamb was cooked softy. Parking: Parking was limited

Not a good experience. Butter chicken had bones & the sauce was sweet, not the usual creamy, spicy sauce. All of the saucy meat dishes we ordered had so many bones in them, it made them inedible. The only thing I wasn t disappointed about was the naan.

Let me start with the good, the sauces, naan, and paratha were all very tasty. The bad, the meat was almost non-existent. The chicken and mutton were mostly small pieces of bone with little meat. Sauce based dishes are difficult to eat with pieces of bone and meat. The staff that delivered the meals could not tell us what each dish was.

We (family of white peeps) ordered several different dishes, the sauces were all delicious, but we likely won t be back for several reasons. There s no Order here signage, so you have to rely on a guy pointing at one of the trailers for where the menus and the lady taking orders are. Then seat yourself on the cots pulled up to plastic picnic tables. Just be aware: The menu had no indication of spice levels, and several translation issues - saying things like pickles instead of peppers , and calling something very cheesy when it s ground up paneer inside the kebab meatball style, not the stringy-cheesy you might be expecting. Water bottles were brought over while we waited, which was great! Our food was set down by a lady who greeted us in Spanish and didn t tell us what she was setting down, only that they were hot. We had no idea the dishes wouldn t come with rice, or that it would all be chopped up bits of bones with pieces of meat adhered to it, so that was irritating to try and eat with a plastic fork. Because the knuckley bones made it impossible to eat with cutlery, I had to get my hands all up in there which would ve been fine if I didn t have my long hair whipping into my face (and mouth) because I didn t go there expecting to be eating with my hands. So if you go, heads up about the confusing order process, lack of signage, cot seating, no shade, chunks of bones and meat bits, and rice sold separately. Otherwise it was like I said, delicious. Great flavor, not great dining experience.

Food truck/under construction but open store front restaurant. Staff was frazzled with as more customers came, definitely unprepared for the evening rush. No seating available as such and the staff put out tables chairs as and when new ppl arrive which is quite confusing within the staff as they can t decide if they have seating available or not. Leads to different staff members telling you different things. They had booked a table for a party of 30 ppl while most of the customers were standing and waiting (won t let anyone pull up a chair from the table, even temporarily as the party was not there) Had to end up taking a to-go order. Food was okay, butter chicken curry was BONE-IN which is very unusual, they use the same tandoori chicken and put it in the butter chicken curry. Kebabs were decent and tandoori chicken was okay. Parking is very limited, about 8-10 spaces.

***Catering**** First of all, I am a person who do not spend time to provide feedback for any service either it is good or bad. I always felt mouth publicity is the best feedback as we all know restaurants sometimes serves good food and sometimes dont. So, I feel feedback isnt really important. However, today I really wanted to appreciate and provide my honest feedback to this start up food truck. I have randomly stopped at this place and loved their BBQ, and immediately asked the owner if he can provide live BBQ service for my daughters birthday, however he offered me that he can do all the other items along with the live BBQ, I have hesitated to order the entire catering service to the food truck which I randomly stopped, but upon talking to the owner I felt confidence and honestly wanted to give them a chance and these guys did a wonderful job right from setting the food tables, Dishes with Chafers and last but not least the wonderful food. All of my guests were really enjoyed the food. I am glad that I have trusted them. I encourage everyone to stop by and taste their food. I hope they provide good service to you all as they did for me.
