Went here a couple weeks ago for the first time I ve always been a big fan of their vodka. It s actually one of my favorites over any other but I just hadn t been to the distillery yet. Really cute place. They have a lot of cocktails that are in a nice price range and very tasty, all of the employees were very nice. They have a patio with some picnic tables to sit outside as well if I were to add anything to this, it would be to recommend putting some music outside for the people sitting outside otherwise you just hear traffic driving by it would make it more pleasurable and the TV inside was showing like infomercials and random local TV so maybe something a little better on the TV inside otherwise all in all really cute place

Absolutely love this spot. Friendly, local bartenders who clearly love their jobs and the community. Drinks are good, well priced, and lots of local options! 21+ is a big bonus as well, and while they dont have food, theyre close to a number of good chow spots (same center). Only down side is the hours, it would be phenomenal if they were open later than 9, at least on weekends. Really though, thats my only gripe, you cant go wrong with Leanderthal!

This is a wonderful addition to the great white north area! A boutique distillery serving up their own vodka, gin, agave, and my favorite their 17 whiskey. When you visit the old fashioned and margherita cocktails is a must to start. Check out their specials! Every cocktail is a craft cocktail served up by the Pros behind the bar. Its bring your own food or snacks and if you forget there are a number of options within walking distance.. Lastly its thankfully 21 an over however your fur babies are welcomed on their patio. Pro tip: 1st timers you can enjoy tastings! Support local and Cmon by and have a beautifully hand crafted cocktail (or 2.....)

This has to be the best bar around. They have great drinks, an awesome owner, and, best of all, its an adult place. You dont have to put up with screaming kids and their clueless entitled parents. Its our favorite place to drink in the whole area.

I always love going to Leanderthal Distilling to enjoy a specialty cocktail with my friends. Recently I had the opportunity to watch the eclipse with many local friends and neighbors.I want to thank Scott and his staff for providing such an amazing historical viewing. Leanderthal is a great meeting place. We have hosted our Christmas parties there and our guests from out of town continue to talk about returning to visit us and plan to stop in to Leanderthal.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem after dining at Aparicio s next door. What a pleasant surprise. The staff and the distiller were super friendly. We were offered a complimentary tasting and all the spirits are really good. They have a huge drink offering and drinks are $9 or under. They welcome you to bring any food you wish. There was a large crowd and a lively upbeat vibe. Definitely worth a visit.

Ive never been to Leanderthal Distilling. But they got my attention. Not for what they serve, but how they serve the community. Leander is growing. With growing comes need for expanding utilities. Leanderthal Distilling took out a full page add in Community Impact detailing the need for us to conserve water during February 12th to March 31st. This isnt anything new. In the 90s water issues ran rampant in Leander. Bravo to Leanderthal Distilling and to the Leander residents for doing your part.

Stopped by LD this evening on our way to another event, a quick cocktail on the way... so glad we did! We met the owner, Scott, and his sidekick bartenders Matt and Polly. All terrific people and eager to explain what they had to offer, and we talked at length about their products. We ordered the Leander Lemontini (with lavender) and the Raspberry Beret ... both excellent cocktails, each $7 ... best craft cocktails in the area, and best prices bar none! You can bring in food from the outside, and they have a chalkboard on the wall with a few local restaurants that will deliver there. They dont allow kids (anyone under 21, including even the cutest babies) or pets, but once you see the place, youll get that! As their website says, its date night, get a babysitter and stop by. Off the beaten path, a hidden gem as they say... the people are great, the drinks are great... Stop by, youll be glad you did, and like us, youll add this to your list of usual stops.

what a wonderful and pleasant hidden find. this place is awesome and very welcoming. This drinks prices are the best youre gonna find, its almost hard to believe. You can bring outside food and grab a table and enjoy your drinks. Its a great place for friends to talk and hangout, play some cards or chess and catch up. The atmosphere was so relaxing and comforting.

This is my husbands and my favorite place to drink in Leander. They make artisan cocktail that are strong and very reasonably priced. They don t serve food, but that just means you can bring in anything you want. There are a number of great places to eat within walking distance. The Leanderthal team is really nice and personable. You can t beat this place.

If you need a taste of the finest liquor distilled in Leander, please visit Leanderthal. One of the best tasting rooms in Texas Ive been to. Enjoy a drink made with love and share a dog story with the owner, Scott. If you need to buy a bottle or two, come on in to buy up your two bottle maximum pet month. Cant decide? Its not surprising because they have a load of options and you can mix and match your own. Leanderthal welcomes everyone, so dont be afraid to visit. Sit indoors or out, weather permitting. Also bring your own food. Be it your romantic dinner, your taco bell, your anniversary or birthday party, or a delivered pizza, outside food is allowed and welcomed. Enjoy old school TV shows and occasional plays onsite. You wont be disappointed.

If you haven t been to Leanderthal yet, you need to get there ASAP!! Their drinks are fantastic and the atmosphere, staff & owner (Scott) are equally as fabulous! Their drink concoctions are original and delicious annnnnnnnd affordable. I love that they have indoor as well as outdoor seating, and as a mom of a toddler I especially appreciate that no kids are allowed- I tend to wad up as soon as I hear crying these days so it s the perfect local get away. Great for a date night, meet up with friends or just to enjoy a drink and a magazine alone or just drop in and buy a few bottles to go. A true gem of a spot!

Love this place! . We are first timers here trying their product which turned out to be delicious! The owner Scott (the founder) was amazing and friendly. He took the time to explain the different products , letting us taste some of them in order to taste the different flavors. All around a fun, peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

Love this place they have great drinks that are budget friendly. They don t allow kids which allows for a very relaxing / chill atmosphere. The owner and staff are all friendly and will talk to you about the drinks. They also support local artists by displaying their work. Definitely my go to place after a stressful work week.

The quality of the distilled spirits is absolutely fantastic. The quality of customer service is questionable. We began our evening with a small group of regulars that were treated as any customer ought to be. But, when things got a little busier, service seemed to suffer. As a female that had previously ordered 2 drinks at the bar, I went back for a third and asked to add 2 bottles of whiskey/bourbon to my tab and close out my tab. I was told to come right back with my card to do that. Five minutes later, I did, and then watched 3 men get served before me over the next 20+ minutes, while I was standing at the bar, card in hand, trying to make eye contact before another employee finally asked if I d been helped. It s not that big of a place that it s that hard to attend to a customer under those circumstances. I love what this place offers and will be back, BUT, they should take this feedback and grow accordingly. If you (as a bartender) tell a customer to return with a card, please be prepared to follow through, with priority. They are worth the effort.

My wife and I went to Leanderthal on Valentines day and had a great time. The owner and staff are friendly and like to talk about the company. They serve deliciously creative takes on your favorite cocktails in their converted warehouse bar with a good amount of seating. They are happy to let you sample the spirits and take a bottle home if you like them. We were very impressed by the reasonable prices and high quality of the spirits and cocktails. They do also have a dart board and a few board games for entertainment while you sip. We will be coming back to Leanderthal and are happy to have a great cocktail bar so close to home!
