They sent me bill for missed/failed appointment and total bill was $120. They were paid $70 from my insurance company and expected me to pay the remaining balance of $50. I arrived for my appointment that was on 5/16/24 and upon my arrival I was informed that my insurance (Delta Dental of Virginia) was now out of network and I would have pay upfront out of pocket and my insurance company would reimburse me. I declined the service and left and they ended up billing me for missed/failed appointment Stay away from Live Oak Family Dental Care!

Disappointed with Service and Communication at Live Oak Family Dentistry My recent appointment at Live Oak Family Dentistry was unfortunately quite frustrating. There seemed to be a lack of transparency and preparedness during my visit. First, I was assigned a hygienist from a temp agency, which wasnt communicated beforehand. Additionally, during the cleaning, it became apparent that some of their equipment malfunctioned. Even more concerning was the dentists recommendation for fillings, which was very difficult to understand because of such a strong foreign accent. I wasnt experiencing any problems, and there was no mention of needing fillings during the initial consultation. When I expressed my surprise and explained I had a conflicting appointment that would prevent me from getting fillings done right away, they hit me with a $65 cancellation fee. This lack of clear communication and the unexpected charges left me feeling like they were more interested in quotas than patient care. I would strongly advise potential patients to seek clarification on any recommended procedures and inquire about their cancellation policy before scheduling an appointment. I absolutely do not recommend Live Oak Family dentistry and they have lost my trust and business!!!

UPDATE: I just moved out of Texas so I wont be coming here anymore, but Id gladly recommend this place anyone. Everyone in the office always treated me kindly, did excellent work, and clearly communicated what Id need and why Id need it. My hygienist did a great job and everyone from the receptionist who booked my appointment to the doctor herself were kind and professional. Will be happy to come back here for another cleaning in 6 months!

I dont often leave reviews, and am cognizant of the extremity bias reviews tend to have. That being said, this dental practices treatment, bedside manner, technology, and skill were just simply stellar. Best dental practice Ive ever experienced, hands down. I typically am very tense and uncomfortable at any dentist, but I found myself relaxing with them. Everyone from the dentist, the assistant, the receptionist, even the billing person, were all very personable, friendly, and caring. The platonic ideal of dentistry right here.

We had an emergency where my 12 year old son knocked out his front tooth. Dr. Donangelo was able to see him right away and really took care of us! She calmed me down, worked great with him and did a wonderful job with the crown! It was a tough and long process since she had to put in a pin but she did it beautifully and now he has his pearly white crown that looks amazing. Thank you Dr. Donangelo!!

So bummed that they dropped delta dental insurance. Worse that they chose to let everyone know the day they dropped it via a confusing email (two weeks before my appointment). A little notice would have been nice so I could have bumped up my appointment before it went into effect. When I called they said I could pay full price and get a refund from the insurance. Passing that leg work to the customer and making me pay full up front is super uncool, don t expect your customers to pay that cost out of pocket. We will be moving our business elsewhere and are very upset about it.

Today was my 1st appointment. It was very nice. Scheduling was with ease. I was called back immediately. My dental hygienist was very caring and gentle. Always checking on me. They took their time. The denist was really thorough and Sweet. Even when I checked out they were very friendly. I went to my old denist for 25 years..Its hard to switch. Glad I did. Great overall experience. I would never recommend this place. Was new to town and visited them for regular cleaning. After first visit, they said I need filling on perfectly fine tooth where I never had any pain. Ever since I got my filling done, I was never able to drink room temp water or chew anything. AVOID this place

Lets face it, most people avoid the dentist for lots of reasons. I admit, I am one of those because of the sounds, the feelings, and dentists who like to ask you questions while your mouth is full of their fist. However, Live Oak has found a way to remove all of these anxieties! Maybe its just the industry that has changed but since I went last, a lot of improvements have been made. But the most memorable thing while visiting was the customer service. Everyone I came in contact with was super nice and made me feel very comfortable. Because of Live Oak, I promise to stay regular on my visits!!!

Great experience-I was a walk in and they were able to see me and put on a temporary crown that same morning. They were knowledgeable on the insurance side as well and took care of that in-house, which is always a plus. Everyone is polite and my dentist explained everything in detail. I never have any issues when coming here. This office came highly recommended from my boyfriend (who does not like going to the dentist). I get a reminder text and email of my upcoming appointment. From the front desk, dental hygienist, dentist and finance everyone is always very welcoming. I have had several appointments before I was pregnant, one while pregnant and most recently my first appointment postpartum. Josh remembered that I would have had my baby recently and asked how we were both doing. I love that they actually take the time to get to know their patients.

These guys are amazing!! I ve had two dental emergencies in the last two years and they got me in the same day both times and gave me great care. I had a slight dental emergency. I called and Alex at the front was so sweet and and informative. This whole visit was nothing short but amazing. From check in to check out. Was going here on a regular basis, several years ago. I had to have an extraction. When the tooth came out, she kept scraping the inside with one of those picks. I told her I could feel it and it hurt. She kept going until I finally used my forearm to block my mouth. They misdiagnosed/mistreated a tooth for months, then had to send me to a real dentist to fix it. The tooth still hurts to the touch, and the only way to get rid of the pain is to remove the tooth. Thanks for wasting my money. EDIT/RESPONSE: since we dont find you as a patient of record More ineptness. You dont remember sending me a pathetic, pouty letter after I said I didnt want to come back? we would love to make things right How? By shutting down and giving everyone their money back?

Today was the final straw of mediocre to bad customer service. Had an appointment today for 3pm. Confirmed it ahead of time. Today they call at 9 am leaving messages of my daughter can come at 11am. She s at work. I m at work. We are going about our day planning on a 3pm dentist appointment before moving to college. Get there at 3 and they Cancelled the appointment because we couldn t take the 11am appointment. We ve been disappointed in this dentist for a year but felt it was too much of a hassle to change. They upsell relentlessly when you re in their office. The dentist isn t personable. They have high hygienist turnover.

The little lady Ms.A (because I cannot spell her name)was amazing ,she was very compassionate, thorough, and explained every thing to me. I am very very scared of the dentist have been for years. So my mouth is in terrible shape now. So this was a very hard appointment for me.This is the appointment that stopped me from returning on prior visits to other dentists in my past. This office is poorly managed. There have been multiple times where they cancel appointments at the last minute or trying to move them due to operational shortcomings. They rarely seem to have their admiration in order and are focused more on money than patient experience. More importantly, they have incorrectly billed us and ignored making the ethical corrections while failing to follow up several times in a timely manor over the last 6 months+. Im so fed up of dealing with this place and will take my family elsewhere due to their incompetent administration and poor communication

It is for this reason and many other times that I am reassured that I found an honest and caring Dentist. My Mother is 85 years old. I highly highly recommend Live Oak Family Dental Care. Were a family of 5 ages 42 down to 3 and they treat us all. I havent been to the dentist in a long time due to anxiety but they made me feel so comfortable. They took the time to listen, they actually heard me and moved at a pace I felt comfortable with. Dr. Kozinn could tell I was having some discomfort before I could even say anything and she took care of it right away. They are called family dental because youll feel like you are part of their family.

I had such a positive experience with Live Oak Family Dental Care that I needed to leave a review! EVERYONE was really friendly and personable. Ive always been a little bothered by some crowding of my teeth, but I always thought it was a cosmetic thing that I couldnt prioritize financially. Having not been to the dentist for awhile due to the pandemic, I was a bit nervous. Dr. Donangelo was very understanding of my situation and gave me some excellent advice on what to do going forward, in a very friendly and helpful way. I also appreciated that Dr. donangelo herself did my cleaning. That was a pleasant surprise. Dr. Argandona took care of my daughter, 10, as well. Sometimes the dentist can be a scary place and both the dentists and the assistants made her and myself feel comfortable. They took time to get to know us and made us feel like family.

I am really glad to have found this great team. My daughter had a big issue when she lost her molar prematurely and we went in many different doctors and didn t find the confident we needed to proceed with her treatment. Some dentists we went gave us the impression they are all about money and didn t care about her feelings or psychological part. Someone referred m DR. Priscila and she is really everything they told me about. She is very patient, calm and a very good professional. She explains in details about what should be done and we feel very comfortable to decide for the best procedures. My kids love her! I need to highlight the assistant Tiffany, who is amazing with kids! When she realizes that the kid is upset, she sits down with them, talk, talk, talk, tell many stories until kids feel safe! These people are extremely unprofessional. I follow all the guidelines for COVID requirements. I sat in my car for 45 minutes waiting to get a response and nothing. My quality of life has changed dramatically for the better! And it is a direct result of Live Oak. I did their complimentary airway screening and was recommended for an at home sleep test. The test discovered that I have had sleep apnea. I had no idea and would not have known if it hadn t been for me dentist, of all people! I have since gotten treatment and I can t believe what a difference that has made. Not what you expect to discover when you go for a teeth cleaning! In addition, I have had a lot of work done. Multiple fillings and a crown. I have had a wonderful experience with each one. The office is very family oriented and have been so understanding and helpful when I have needed to bring my kids with me to appointments. We have moved to a different town since my husband and I started going to Live Oak but we have no desire to find a closer dentist! It s worth the drive to us!

Dr. Agandola and Dr. Donangelo are both great dentists and also very caring. They are thorough, but not pushy and they explain everything very well. I have also found both of them to be gentle, warm and compassionate, as well as accessible when I need them. I have followed them to their office in Leander even though I live in Austin. My husband and I were surprised to find that we were able to drive from Austin and get there so quickly!

I had two teeth pulled today, 30 Oct 19. I couldn t believe how painless it was. Dr. Patel and Raven did great. I ve been going to them for about five years now and I wouldn t think about seeing someone else. The whole staff is great. Now six hours later, the numbness has gone away and my mouth still doesn t hurt.

All the hygienists seem like they are working there only to pay the bills.None of them seem to enjoy their job. They constantly leave the room while cleaning my teeth, with no explanation. The hygienists also rush through the cleaning, resulting with water getting sprayed on my face constantly. On top of that, the dentist keeps pushing pricey procedures that I dont need.

I have had a tremendous fear of dentists for all of my life starting when I was 14. I have been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that causes a significant decrease of saliva. This is caused a great deal of damage to my teeth and gums and mouth.Since finding Live Oak Family Dentistry, I do not have the fear any longer of going to the dentist. Everyone at the office is extremely nice, polite, lends a listening ear when needed, and most importantly, provides outstanding dental care and provides tips to help you maximize the health of your teeth. My entire family goes to them, even though we ve now moved and it takes us almost an hour to get there. We wouldn t choose any place else! Their primary goal is your safety and well-being and to meet your dental experience as enjoyable as it can be!

This place is amazing! I took my 3 yr old there for a third opinion cause the other 2 pediatric dentist wanted to put him to sleep and well thats just too scary for this momma. They did the injection and he never even felt it their technique is so good. He was comfy and relaxed. This is now our family Dentist.

This amazing dentist helped my mother when she had some really bad tooth problems so when my wisdom teeth started coming in I immediately decided to call Live Oak. I couldnt be happier with the service I received. I dont have insurance so I was sure that a dentist would be out of my price range and I would just have to deal with the pain of the infection my wisdom tooth had caused but, Live oak gave me an awesome price. They took x rays, spent a lot longer than I expected talking to me and explaining everything, and gave me prescriptions for an antibiotic and pain meds. I will recommend this dentist to everyone I can and continue to take any dentistry issues I have to them.

I cant describe how good it feels to finally have a great dentist. My prior dental insurance only allowed large chain dental offices and I had a string of bad experiences. Upon meeting the office manager at a business expo, he verified that this was not a chain dentist office and that there are good solutions for those of us who are uninsured. They are NOT pushy in any form, they are up on the most advanced technology to improve the patient experience (that x-ray!), and their customer service is impeccable. Ive been going here for a year and recommend the office to all my friends. Keep doing great things and keeping the patient and staff first... not the bottom line like all the chains. I have never been to such an awesome dentist in my life. Got a root canal done and a temporary crown put in. I ended up breaking my temporary crown and called when they were closing on a Saturday and they told me to come in and they stayed open just to help me! She made me a new temporary crown and fixed me right up. Best dentist Ive ever been to! Highly recommend going to Live Oak!!
