I LOVE Southern Sugar! Ive been traditional brazilian waxing for the past 5 years. I decided to try Sugar wax brazilian for the first time and it was SUCH A GOOD EXPERIENCE. Ladies, if you are still doing the old way of waxing, you neeeeed to switch to sugar and come here! Sugaring is 10x better experience, results and long term than traditional wax. Much cleaner ingredients and you dont get burned like the hot wax!! Especially down there, your precious skin!! This place is truly the best and the atmosphere is so cute and local. I booked with the owner Holly and she was so amazing, made me feel comfortable and I loved hearing her story on starting the business. Support local yall!! 12/10 and definitely here for the long term!

I had my first experience at this place. I am a fan of sugar wax so I specifically seek out that service. Southern Sugar and Brow was a very clean facility and had a welcoming atmosphere. It seemed like there were a lot of regulars which made it feel even more welcoming. My appointment was done by Sarah M. She did a great job making sure I was comfortable and when she applied the sugar there was no discomfort like I had experienced on other places. I was very happy with my overall experience and will be going back for next appointment.

I was honestly nervous to get my back waxed but girlfriend kept insisting so finally I gave in and went. The staff was super nice and friendly and I had Sarah do my back, she was super nice and explained the process in a way that made me feel comfortable and relaxed and truthfully it wasn t that bad lol! 100% recommend this place!!!

I am officially a sugaring convert, after just one appointment! Kylie was so sweet and very knowledgeable, she made my entire experience comfortable and relaxing. Kylie was amazing! She took her time and made sure I was completely comfortable and hairless. The last time I was sugared at SSB, unfortunately I experienced a lot of hair breakage, which was not pleasing. I explained to Kylie my desired results and she pulled through amazingly! I m a Master Aesthetician with 15 years experience and Kylie has left a permanent impression on me. Highly recommend and I have no issues traveling further to see her. She s absolutely worth it.

I went today and was so happy they squeezed me in! I got my brows waxed and a lift & tint on my lashes. Courtney was super down to earth and really fun to spend the time with. She is so personable and also talented. Sugar waxing is so gentle, I barely felt it and my skin was not irritated like it gets with other wax types. The real hero of the day was the lift & tint. I have dark and longer lashes so I was really skeptical. I thought it was honestly going to be a waste of money but I m truly obsessed. It looks like I have natural but bold mascara on. At first the feeling was a bit weird to get used to because the lashes are curled upward and I can feel them hit my upper eyelid as if I m wearing falsies but they are my REAL lashes. They look so so good. Highly recommend. They had a special running for the combo which made the lift & tint $85, which I think is a fair value for what I walked out with. I may hesitate at the original price of $120, and having to keep up with it every 4-6 weeks, so hoping they keep this combo because that would keep me incentivized to stay on a regular schedule.

12/10 recommend coming here for your self care needs! The salon/boutique is so adorable and the staff is so sweet! I ve had a last tint before (years ago at a different place) and it didn t make a big enough difference to me, but I m so glad I gave it a shot again and paired it with the lash lift. Kristen worked magic, and this will definitely be my go-to from now on. ALSO, never heard of sugaring before going here, but I LOVE it. Less painful than wax or threading and your brows look amazing after.

I had such a great experience at Southern Sugar. The salon and boutique are so freaking cute. Love the aesthetic and vibe of the whole place. I got to my appointment early and Amanda took me back right away. The (Brazilian) service was so quick, and literally perfect. She didn t even have to use tweezers and she got everythinggg. I ve never had perfect results like that before. Amanda was so nice and easy to talk to. Loved the botanical spray and hot towel afterwards, such a nice touch. Went home with way less irritation than when I wax.

I went for my first Brazilian and eyebrow mapping + sugar. As it was my first Brazilian I was quite nervous but Amanda Jo did such a great job to make me feel comfortable. I was very apprehensive about getting my ombré eyebrows as my previous experience at another establishment was absolutely horrible and left me with red lines! It is permanent make up after all so I was devastated. After extensive research and reading PAGES of reviews around my area, I chose Southern Sugar. Establishment is clean, adorbs, chic and cozy. Haidee immediately made me feel comfortable, talked to me about what I wanted and listened to my concerns, mapped my face, and walked me through her process. I go to SSBC for many of my services! All the ladies are great and established. Liz is my husband and I go to massage therapist. We both like deep tissue and her hands know exactly where to go with lots of power. I ve been going to her for my prenatal massages she even has a special pillow, so I can lay on my stomach! Amanda is my lash gal. She is very gentle with the application the whole process is very comfortable. Teeth whitening by Haidee. I have super sensitive teeth/gums and I didn t feel any discomfort.

Nicole is an eyebrow angel sent from heaven to repair eyebrows that others have butchered over the years. I went in and showed her a photo of my eyebrows prior to years of mutilation and asked her if wed be able to make mine eventually look this way again. She looked at the photos for like 20 seconds and confidently says absolutely To say I was terrified is an understatement. However, Nicole had my eyebrows looking EXACTLY how I asked (minus the hairs we have to wait to grow back in) within like 10 mins. We chatted the entire time like it wasnt my first time visiting. The inside of the establishment had me feeling like the bougie housewife I am clearly NOT. But I came in and left feeling SO fancy AND taken care of which is the most important. While I cant speak for the other ladies whom work there I still highly recommend this place. They had SO many clientele just while I was there for the short time which I feel speaks volumes. So happy to have found my new go to place and to try out some of their other services. Highly recommend!!

Callie does beautiful lashes! I like a very natural look and she LISTENS and makes them look longer, thicker, and varied. Plus, she s the most fun to talk to (or not, sometimes I snooze) when I go. The only discomfort was from the service itself which comes with the territory. At no point did I feel awkward or uncomfortable w/ all the exposure of my lady parts. After she completed the service, I booked my next appointment. Hope this helps those of you out there that are on the fence to move forward with booking your first appointment too! They also have a cute boutique and great staff. Everyone I interacted with were kind and welcoming. Very much felt like a judgement free zone. I d give more than 5 stars if I could! I settled on this place while looking for a permanent makeup artist because it had so many positive reviews. Haidee did an amazing job and I can t recommend her enough! I got exactly what I asked for because she took the time to make sure it was absolutely perfect. I m truly so sorry to be leaving less than five stars because the reviews for SSBB are SO good. But I left almost in tears after I got the henna service for my brows. My beautician was running fifteen minutes behind, which I totally get happens, but then she acknowledged that she has been sick but did not wear a mask as she breathed and coughed around my face. She did not conduct any kind of consultation on what I was looking for, did not explain the process or tell me what to expect, and most importantly, she started painting on my brows without having me see or approve the shape. When I saw the results, she had painted completely new eyebrows on me without taking my natural very thin brows into consideration. As someone who doesn t ever wear a full face of makeup, I just look like a different person. On top of that my actual brows became much darker than the shape she painted on my skin, so there is a literal line directly through my eyebrows. My mom laughed at me when she saw!

This was my second visit to SSBC and I m totally sold! My first time there, I had the Brazilian and brow sugaring done. I wasn t enthused with the result of the Brazilian although my esthetician was really friendly, I just didn t get the result I was used to with waxing (granted, I had built a strong bond with my previous esthetician, lol). I love this place!! When I moved here in 2022, I had a heck of a time finding someone who did body sugaring and not waxing and I couldnt find anyone. Then my husband did a search and found this place and I havent looked back. But man, I FELT the difference after I got my Brazilian sugar!! Way less pain (bc it hurts no matter what lol), the hair grew back so much less sparse, and slower. They re also super flexible. I was so excited to have my first sugaring experience at this cute woman owned shop. I love supporting local businesses and especially if they are owned by women. All of the reviews of being pampered, comfortable, spoiled and overall everyone having an excellent experience had my hopes very high, I was so sad and disappointed when that I didnt get to experience any of that. I had originally booked an appointment for a playboy at 3pm Saturday, earlier in the week I had text the salon asking if I could add on an eyebrow sugaring as well to which they replied I could if I came in at 3:50pm. At 3pm on Saturday I received a call asking if I was going to make my 3pm appointment, I explained the above but said I could come in right away since I only lived a few minutes away. I was told to go ahead and start driving but they would have to review the texts. When I arrived at the salon I was asked my name and rushed back to a room (she didnt even introduce herself) and was told she would do what she could but did have another appointment, I stopped her and said I could just leave and cancel my appointment. She said no she could still do the playboy but we just had to hurry....when someone is removing hair from that sensitive area youd like to think they arent in a hurry. And that we probably wouldnt get to the eyebrow wax but maybe someone else could do it. I was really made to feel like the miscommunication and scheduling mistake was my fault and I essentially had to take what I got as a service. As the sugaring began it was evident she was rushing, she did keep the conversation going which was nice and eventually towards the end of the service did make me feel less like it was my fault and did say she was sorry the receptionist messed up. She also did end up doing a quick brow clean up which I appreciated. The actual sugaring itself turned out good and was way less painful than waxing so I was glad I tried it. It just made me sad that I didnt get the warm wonderful experience everyone else has raved about. I was hoping I had found my forever beauty home. The salon itself is very clean and from my brief time looked super cute I wish I had gotten a chance to see all the cute things they had in there. Update: one of the owners contacted me directly shortly after this, I did revisit the salon the scheduling process was much more precise and my service was amazing! This place is encouraging sick people to come to their location. I booked an appointment here and the morning of my appointment, I woke up feeling ill. I was sick with a highly contagious virus that I caught from my kiddos. Their symptoms were much worse lasting nearly two weeks so once I got sick I immediately notified the establishment. They agreed that I could reschedule but charged me a fee for not giving 24 hours of notice. I explained that I woke up ill and it would have been impossible for me to give 24 hours notice. 5 stars and 5 hearts! Ive been getting Brazilian waxing since 2017, and had recently taken break because the process had become so painful, and the aftermath was miserable. Shaving wasnt the answer for me, either, so I started looking for a new salon/esthetician. I was looking for high ratings, and a salon near my home. I found both when I came across Southern Sugar, and the amazing Holly, on Google. Their ratings are phenomenal, and now I can see why! Ladies, if regular Brazilian waxing has you dreading the next visit as I was, you MUST try sugar waxing. Much gentler to the skin and the after results are amazing. I have super sensitive skin and typical waxing left me with beet red skin for a couple of days. Not the case with sugar waxing! Also, I had mine 2 weeks ago and if Id had typical waxing, I would already be an itchy, stubbly mess by now. But not this time! My skin is still smooth (no ingrowns) and the hair that is growing back is much softer. SO GLAD I found this salon! Oh, and be sure to pamper yourself and book the hydrotherapy mask when you make your appointment. It is so soothing! Looking forward to my next appt.

I LOVE this place!! It is a GEM! I got my haircut, hair colored, lip tint, and an ombre eyebrows done! I am VERY pleased with the outcome. I love it when they invest in learning ASL just because it is my primary language. I felt right at home!

This place is the ultimate girl gang hangout. But in addition to hanging out you get solid services too. First, this place is warm, welcoming, and you just feel so dang happy being there. So far I have done sugaring with Holly(uh-maze-ing) and have bought and customized candles with Cierra. I will never go back to waxing or to another sugar-er(is that even a term?) and will only buy candles from Waterloo Candle(Cierra) moving forward. So much love is thrown into this place and their services and you can feel it. I do plan to come in for additional services and will update my review based off those experiences, but I have only seen and heard amazing things. This place is the best and super affordable check this girl tribe out!

Came here for my first organic spray tanning session. Had a great conversation with the twins (they run the place, really awesome girls) before my treatment. Wasnt sure what to expect as it was my first time spray tanning but omg the color came out beautiful and will be visiting them a few times a month from now on! No orange hue like I was concerned about, plus they locally source their organic spray tanning solution from a company in Austin, which I love (Go Texan all the way!) Highly recommended.

The ladies here are amazing an so fun. I ve gotten a facial twice now and lash lift and dye. If you have short straight lashes it makes a huge difference. I ve struggled with mine, And don t do well with extensions. I haven t had issues either time and was surprised by how long it lasts. I got more than 6-8 weeks before they fell straight again. This last visit I also got a prenatal 90 min massage price is way cheaper than most an Emily their masseuse was incredible. Can t recommend Leeann ,Hollie , and Emily enough

Leanne did my ombré eye brows and they look awesome. She took her time mapping them to make sure they were exactly how I wanted them before she got the ink out. The atmosphere here is homey and friendly, they made me feel very comfortable. Lots of laughs and good conversation. She was very clean, she used a one time use needle and made sure I saw her open the package. Also never double dipped any sticks in the products used on my face. She texted me to check on me and my eye brows. They are very invested in their customers!

Lee Anne and Holly are an amazing duo!!! First off, ITS SO FREAKIN CUTE INSIDE!!!! I was lucky to have both sisters work their magic on me. Lee Anne spent so much time mapping my brows so they would be perfect. She obviously knows what she s doing! The whole process was definitely an experience to remember and my brows came out FANTASTIC! I also had my arms sugared by Holly who is basically a miracle worker for hairy ladies (or men I guess). My arms were so soft and smooth after and no redness or pain!! I can t wait to go back and enjoy being pampered again. Thanks, ladies!!

The first time I came to Southern Sugar and Brow I got a massage from Emily Ruth. I can t find the exact words to describe how amazing my massage was! I was greeted at door, made to feel extremely comfortable. I enjoyed hot stones, fasha blasting, infrared sauna blanket and the most amazing massage ever! I have had several massages and Emily Ruth is truly the most talented! She worked on every problem spot. I have several other appointments booked with the company! First things first! They are the best!! But seriously, I have gone to high dollar spas in Austin for several years for facials, waxing etc because I care about products and quality. I found Southern Sugar and Brow and have never been happier. I have had lip stain done they are perfect! I ve had a facial and results were amazing. I ve had a Brazilian and let me tell you, I ve had Brazilians for over 10 years regularly With hard and soft wax and I will NEVER back. TRUST when I say this wax was the best ever, basically painless and results were amazing. No redness or tenderness after the sugaring. The results lasted far longer than my previous waxes and the hair is growing in slower and finer as this technique actually removes the hair from the follicle. I will say I have high standards for my cosmetic services and Lee Ann and Holly are truly best of the best!! I continue to be blown away at their training, techniques and results from my services. Besides the services they are amazing boss babes and I love spending time with them during my appointments.

Lee Anne did my brows and they are amazing...she took her time during the mapping phase and was SOOOOOOO patient with me and listened until she knew exactly how I wanted them to look. I can t say enough good things about LeAnn and holly!!!!! I had the most amazing experience !!!! First I went for my lash tint and lift with holly and it was an amazing experience ! She explained everything and the before and after are just incredible !!! I absolutely love how my lashes look! I don t even need mascara !!!! My experience with LeAnn was absolutely amazing as well! She did my brows and I can t even get over how amazing they look and what a great experience I had ! Before going to LeAnn I had gone for a consult with someone else and I walked out less than impressed . She drew on 2 brows with stencils and then rushed me out and said she didn t have time to draw anymore . I left feeling sad and defeated but honestly it was meant to be because I found LeAnn ! She spent 2 hours just drawing my eyebrows to make sure they were absolutely perfect and exactly what I wanted and then she carefully chose a color and made sure I was happy with it before putting it on! She was absolutely amazing and my eyebrows are beyond perfect ! I am so happy with them and so happy I found LeAnn and holly! I love their salon it s absolutely perfect, clean, and inviting ! I feel so comfortable there and I can t wait to get more services !!!!! Thank you LeAnn and holly for giving me such an amazing experience !!!!!
