The food was wonderful. I had butter chicken and my husband had fried shrimp and hush puppies. The owner was so pleasant to talk to. She gave us a sample of the homemade mango ice cream. Yummy. The atmosphere is basic and this seems to be more of a to go place. I highly recommend and will return.

Wow stopped by after seeing the sign and looking up the menu options and to our surprise the authentic smell an taste of the spices had us change from. To go to dine In quick the service was great very open to our spice level but we love it the way its made authentic so good the chicken vindaloo and the tadka fries wow flavorful with extra garlic bread I know it has a different name and the mango Lassi so fresh and this is just what we ate definitely left with more.

Love this place! My husband and I tried it today for the first time and the food was EXCELLENT! We ordered to go the Chicken Vindaloo meal W/ garlic pita bread & ended up staying b/c the food was so good lol. It was very spicy & very DELICIOUS. This place is perfect for spicy food lovers or date night w/ your significant other. I can t believe alot of ppl don t know about this place. 10/10 Recommend!

Hidden Gem Alert! Good things deserve to be shared, Today we had dinner at Tadka 96, located on 96 (formerly Lillys Seafood). This Indian restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but trust the online reviews - its a culinary gem! The food was AMAZING! Every dish is homemade, bursting with flavor and texture. We tried the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken, and even our kids loved it! But save room for their HOMEMADE ice cream - its a dream! Choose from rose, pistachio, coconut, tutti frutti and mango. We tried all of them and 11/10! Call ahead to see if they have ice cream as they sell out quickly! Also, What makes Tadka 96 truly special is its moving backstory. Ask the owner to share it with you.If youre an Indian food lover, add Tadka 96 to your must-try list! You wont regret it.

I googled butter chicken near me & it led me to this restaurant. It doesn t look like much from the outside but it s family owned & run. They are super nice & accommodating. Service was excellent. The food is SO delicious. If you love curry & Indian food come try Tadka96!!! They also have American food for the family members who don t like new foods.

The food is elite, but the best part of the restaurant is the staff. In an age of corporate cost cutting and detachment from the consumer, Tadka96 is the antithesis of the modern business. They take genuine pride in providing you quality food and service. They show real interest in your dining experience and concern for your opinions on the food. Tadka96 is a hidden gem that offers more than just delicious food it serves up warmth and hospitality that makes you feel right at home. The owner, a lovely and attentive woman, went out of her way to make sure our experience was special. Her care for our table was evident from the moment we walked in. The menu is thoughtfully divided into three sections: traditional Indian cuisine, a Western menu, and a seafood selection. My mother-in-law enjoyed a fresh and flavorful fish plate, while my daughter was very happy with her cheeseburger. The rest of us indulged in the butter chicken and tikka masala, both of which were rich, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying. The samosa I tried was a perfect blend of spices and texture truly a treat. One of the most touching parts of our visit was hearing the owners story. She shared how she and her late husband, who passed away after they married in 1996, always dreamed of opening a restaurant together. Naming the restaurant Tadka96 is her way of honoring his memory, and you can taste the love and dedication in every dish. She even surprised us with samples of her homemade ice cream, which was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. I m already looking forward to my next visit to try more of the unique recipes shes working on. Tadka96 is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates not only great food but also a genuine connection with the people who prepare it.

By far the best Indian food we have ever had and we ve tried a lot . The owner was extremely personable and the atmosphere felt very homey. We had the paneer tikka with rice and garlic naan and it was all made from scratch. The paneer is fresh , not chewy like others I ve had . The flavor also had a ton of depth. The owner also let us try her homemade ice cream for free ! My boyfriend had the pistachio and said it was a perfect mix of sweet and salty. I had the coconut and its easily the best I ve had , very simple and the coconut shavings added a great texture. She mentioned they ll be adding new menu items in the coming months so we re really exited to come back soon and try more :)) can t recommend enough 11/10 (I would have taken pictures of the food but we ate it too fast and forgot lol that s how you know it s good stuff )

Waited to be served only one table had people, food on the other table looked absolutely unclean, if they want to survive in a bad location they might want to try their best to serve guest. On top of that food prices seemed a little high but I couldn t tell how big the portions were from the eaten plates on the spare table.

I really enjoyed my first visit. We got the saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, and the butter chicken. My favorite was the butter chicken, but it was all good and flavorful. The naan was so soft and fluffy! It was so good. The owner was so kind as well. She was great with our kids and great at making you feel welcomed. It s a small place, but a great place for dinner or for take out.

This is a fantastic restaurant, and Ill happily be going back. Ordering was easy, and they were very quick to make suggestions based on my dietary restrictions. The food was fantastic, and came out quickly. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala, and it was one of the best Chicken Tikka Masala Ive had in recent memory. They even brought me out a second bit of rice, and a few chips that paired nicely with the Tikka Masala. I went a bit later for lunch, around 1:30, and there was plenty of seating and parking.

I was very happy with my experience because the owner is very personable and the food was fresh and excellent. She has a great story behind why she started the restaurant, and provided several details on her future plans while my food was prepared. The owner has also done a lot of work to improve the interior cleanliness and look. You can sit and have a meal, or order take-out. I liked that music was playing in the background to add authenticity. The menu is very easy to order from and explains all dishes to those who may be unfamiliar with names or ingredients. Also, the prices are very competitive, and satisfactory for the amount of food provided. My partner and I each ordered an entree, but we could have only ordered one between us. I think the best part of the food was the fresh taste, and the fact that I could hear it being prepared to order while I waited. Also, each main entree comes with fragrant jasmine rice and fresh naan. I will 100% be eating here regularly. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options, and the owner mentioned that she will be increasing the size of the vegetarian menu in the near future. Parking: Its in a strip center so there is plenty of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp near the front entrance.

Theyre very kind and friendly. The Eastern Menu is consistently excellent. The Kheer is creamy and cool on the tounge. Its a fantastic meal. Update! I have continued to frequent this establishment. I am consistently impressed by their kindness and welcoming nature. The food is first rate. You can definitely taste the love that was imbued in each dish. I am doubling down on my 5 star review. This visit my partner and I brought some friends to try out Tadka96s offerings. They did not make it all the way home before devouring the Samosas and said Samosas gone. Fantastic. Rate 1,000/10. Fantastic crust and spice level. I couldnt agree more with their statements. The atmosphere is 5/5 too! Its a small dinning room but somehow feels like being invited into their home to enjoy a delightful meal. Extremely friendly staff and amazing food!! Ive been wanting to find local Indian restaurant forever and Im so glad we happened to stop by, well definitely be frequent visitors. I got the Butter Chicken and Mango Lassi and then my spouse got their Tikki Masala, both with Naan and Rice, and both were absolutely stellar. The Butter Chicken is fairly mild in spiciness compared to most Indian curry Ive had at other restaurants but it had like X10 the flavor! Very creamy, smooth, and filling -- 10/10 would recommend. The Tikki Masala is more spicy but its soooo flavorful, very savory and smooth. The Naan is my favorite Naan so far, its got a polite crunch when you bite into it but its somehow still so soft and pillow-y on the inside. The Mango Lassi is something I have never tried before, the super sweet Restaurant owner gave my spouse and I a small free sample on a whim while we waited for our food and I order a full drink right away. It has a thin yogurt-like consistency, strong mango and creamy flavors, Ill definitely be ordering this drink everything we stop by in the future <3 Overall, I couldnt recommend this small business enough, well definitely be frequent guests here moving forward! Absolutely love Tadka96! The food is always so good and filling. Today, we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Samosas, and the Chicken Tikka Philly Cheesesteak. We loved it all! The samosas had a great spice level, and the Masala was so creamy with very tender chicken. For dessert, we ordered the Coconut Ice Cream and it was absolutely delicious! So creamy and fresh tasting without being too sweet. Pulling into Tadka96, we couldnt tell if they were open or not, but we realized the open light was on. So dont think they are closed during normal business hours! The owner is always so sweet and friendly. We love stopping in to support her.

Their fried fish have achieved the golden ratio, crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. As of writing, they have the lowest fried and grilled fish entree prices in the city, and they don t skimp out on portions either. I originally came here because they seemed to have the best price to taste ratio out of all fish restaurants in league city, but they turned out to be even better than I expected.

Stellar home cooked Indian food The chicken was unique in you could tell it was home cooked and made with love and the chicken tikka paratha was delicious, got some butter chicken to dip it in and that was a explosion of flavor as I dipped down my mango lassi that was divine If you don t want Indian food though the loaded chicken fries are really good the sauces are unique and the chicken is nice bite size pieces home cooked chicken as well It is hole in the wall of a place but I think this place deserves the recognition and respect it deserves, truly a refreshing taste for Indian food and authentic

We had Tadka96 cater a family gathering for us. We ordered 3 half trays which included Butter Chicken, Palak Paneer and Tikka Masala. We also ordered a full tray of rice, a full tray of Samosas and a mixture of Naan and Parathas. They included sauces for the Samosas. Everything was made fresh and was super hot at the designated pick up time. It was ready to serve and nothing needed to be reheated. The staff was very helpful and ensured that nothing would leak or drip in my car. The entire experience was terrific and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. I highly recommend giving them a chance to cater your next event!

The quality and taste of the food is worth the wait. My wife got the butter chicken and I got the chicken tikki masala. Both dishes were fantastic! We will definitely be return customers. Just had my first (many to come) experience at Tadka 96. They are located in the old Lilly Seafood building, still using that sign. I never would have expected such an amazing little place was inside. I m a vegetarian so I just never had a reason to go into a seafood spot, but thankfully a friend of mine stumbled in and sent me the menu. They still are honoring the seafood, but they have an entire Indian menu and the food was incredible. Seemingly a mother daughter duo running the restaurant, they are very kind and make you feel like part of the family. The vibes of the restaurant are very much hole in the wall and the vibes of the food is mothers home cooking . Perfect combination. No frills, all flavor. Seriously impressed and excited to go back. A decent amount of vegetarian options (butter paneer was out of this world). If they had more on the Indian menu, I d be there a few times a week trying everything out. A great hidden gem in League city!

Waited my whole life to have an Indo-Pak restaurant in League City, and now theres a great one! Freshest, tastiest Tikka Masala Ive had, and as they roll out new dishes I find more and more I love. Dont sleep on the fusion options either, their Chapli Burger and Chicken Tikka Philly slap! And for dessert, their Mango Lassi is made with homemade ice cream. Lovely people, and a business I hope grows into a local staple.
