It was a very nice hotel, coffeemaker, refrigerator and microwave in our room, The water pressure in the shower was very minimal. The pool was a little dirty and did not look appealing. The breakfast was great, a little bit of everything, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit and juice or coffee. I would definitely go back again, hopefully the pool will be a bit cleaner and the water pressure will be fixed!

We traveled from NJ for a cruise departing from Galvaeston and stayed at this hotel both before and after the cruise. The hotel is neat, clean and very well maintained. However, the best part was the customer service. Talk about Southern hospitality! Mr. Sean Hunt and Ms. Tabitha Kittle were beyond amazing. Location is also great. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We brought our team along for a project and booked multiple rooms. We ended up having to extend our 2 night stay into 6 nights and the staff was very accommodating and so friendly from the front all the way to house keepers and maintenance. We even got a whole seafood boil one night and we were able to sit in the dining with no complaints. Our favorite part was seeing Sean just about every day of our whole stay. Sean made sure we were happy, comfortable, and had anything we needed. We frequent Marriotts for our stays and its still rare to see personality and hospitality like that these days without feeling like an inconvenience. Front of house often overlooks how a simple smile or friendly conversation can make or break a guest experience. We would book again at this location!

They made sure i had a wonderful stay and it was so nice to chat with them in the mornings before leaving for the office. A nice treat to come back to LC for since moving out of the area a few months ago. Thank you to all at the Fairfield Inn in League City, and I will be booking again with yall in October! :) Stayed here for two weeks on a split-stay work trip from 06/15-06/29 and am writing this review on 07/18.

This is a relatively new property and hence rooms were good. However, the best part of this property is the friendly and attentive staff from front desk to the housekeeping to the kitchen staff, everybody wears a smile and pays attention to your needs. We were absolutely delighted with our recent stay at the Fairfield Inn in League City! The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The breakfast was substantial and tasty, and we loved that the main course changed daily. Also, every staff member with whom we came in contact was pleasant and very helpful. The purpose of our trip was to visit a family member in the area. I researched hotels nearby and decided upon this one. The research definitely paid off because this was a perfect choice! We will be returning often! Thank you for all your efforts to make your hotel so welcoming!

Bonbovy Members Beware Room is decent(TV went out the 1st night and they advised maintenance wasn t avail until after 9am the next day and could not move us to another room because there wasn t another one like we booked with points avail .. pls note not a room avail just not our type well my type was one with a working TV . We just chalked that up to okay then let talk to each other instead of watching TV no big deal things happen so we let that go. The breakfast was edible in a crunch if saving money is a thing it is free and edible . Not my thing other GREAT breakfast option close and the location is good. With that being said MY overall experiance is NEVER AGAIN there are way too many options in the area to ever deal with something like this again. I m reading many reviews about overcharge & unexpected charge and refund denials Which appears to me the hotel is just trying to find reasons to charge for anything to their to add to their overall revenue. I too had an experience of an undisclosed and unauthorized charge. Upon checking in I was asked for a CC for INCIDENTALS well this is nothing new so I obliged. There was no posting or mention on the website of a charge for Marriott members who were booking with points. I was hit with a 31.68 charge per room for booking with points . A charge which wasn t disclosed or authorized. Once I inquired about the charge Will at the front desk explained what the charge was for stated he didn t know what else to tell me this is just their policy and he was sure I would be refunded by Marriott because they always charged this amount when members book with points. I immediately contacted Marriott to inquire and of course they had no knowledge of such a charge or refund policy. I requested to speak with the hotel manager Sean on three different occasions to which I got no response and no resolution he(wasn t available and never responded to my request for a call). I would not stay nor recommend this hotel. There are several Marriott Properties less than 5 miles either way that have both proven to be much nicer and don t offer such SURPRISE charges(Courtyard towards north or a Spring Hills towards south). Save yourself some aggravation and pass this one up.

After a 15 hour drive, we were exhausted. I ve been battling cancer for 2 years and today is my birthday. I was really looking forward to being healthy enough to take a little trip. We got to the hotel earlier than expected and were told we don t have any rooms open. You re here earlier than the cleaning crew (okay, comment not needed). I said no worries we ll go do stuff and come back. We went to breakfast and then got an amazing Thai Massage. We checked back at 3pm, and was told check in is at 4pm . I said seriously, the app let me check in at noon yesterday. I was here early and understandably the room wasn t ready, but I m waiting till 4 when I saw a few families carrying their luggage in. So we were given 1 key for 5 people . I asked for more. Got to the room and only 3 towels for 5 people (mind you, when I made the reservation I was specific that our 3 adult kids were staying with us, and I verbally let the hotel know over the phone when I booked). Bathroom door squeaked real loud when you opened and closed it (not cool when there s 5 ppl sharing). Bathroom vent doesn t work so mirror is foggy and you can t see to do hair or makeup also makes the bathroom and room hot. None of us are handicapped, but we re in a handicapped room (I booked 6 mo ago enough time to figure out room placement). There s so much crap (chairs, bars, hanging sprayer, etc) in the shower you can t move and turning the water on and off is so confusing (horrible). Shower curtain was too short so water leaked all over floor. Took maintenance forever to switch it out. Fridge was not cold at all, so we learned you turn it up in the back of fridge (gotta pull the whole unit out). Pull out bed had no pillows or blankets; have to request those in person. The one bed cover has something sharp poking out so I balled it up and set it in the corner of the room. When I called the front desk to report, I was on hold 20 minutes. I walked down and the employee was looking through the refrigerator. I asked what I was waiting on and she asked what I was talking about. I still don t understand what she was doing the the maintenance person and the desk clerk were so rude and when asked to switch tools, were told none were available. It s a Thursday night, there were rooms available. When asked to speak with a manager, was told none were here . The shower still sucks. I d upload a video of the door squeaking but it doesn t allow me. Most things were addressed (with a lot of frustration and rudeness), so the room is adequate now, but the customer service is the worst.

I have been staying at SPG/Mariott properties for well over 10 years now. Typically as a courtesy to members that stay 75 nights or more per year the staff makes accommodations that aren t typical since we aren t typical travelers and have specific needs. At 99% of the properties the staff will accommodate and are very friendly. In the past, I have had decent interactions with staff but this morning I was met with a very rude and dismissive General Manager Tarelll Calvin. Even before looking at my reservations he told me that the hotel was almost sold out last night and my room type wasn t available . Lol. This was BEFORE even looking at my reservation. So I asked her to take a look at my reservation since some hotels do this but when they see I am a frequent traveler they accommodate. To save face, Ms Calvin told me she was correct and the only rooms she had available were $20 more a night. I asked her to cancel the reservation so that I can move to a different location that I have had better experiences with in the area and she would not cancel my reservation without penalty to release me from the reservation so that I could seek out a place to sleep instead of waiting until 3pm. Needless to say, the property is decent, staff is ok, but in my experience, if management is the largest problem it s only a matter of time before the property takes on that persona. I won t be making my reservations at this hotel any longer. Update: Hotel cancelled my reservation and charged me in full

Titanium elite Marriott credit card holder here, not that it matters to the intellectually challenged so called manager. I ve stayed here several times, I d say at least 50 nights, and checked out early several times with no issues. But today after not receiving a refresh on my room at all during my almost week long stay, I needed to check out for an emergency. After speaking with the incredibly rude and ignorant manager she decided that I wasnt worth waiving the early departure fee, something me, a titanium elite member have never heard of. So good job to the worlds most intelligent manager, you got me for an extra night which cost me over $100 but youve cost your hotel a whole lot more because Ill never be staying here again. P.S. good luck with upper management, theyve already opened a case for this.

Their breakfast was pretty decent and they offered eggs and sausage as well as biscuits or Belgian waffles. The only thing we didnt like honestly was the bed. Me and my wife were tossing and turning all night but Ive definitely had worse experiences at other hotels in the past. If you plan to stay here the night before a cruise its pretty close to Galveston and shouldnt take you more than an hour to get to the carnival cruise terminal and park (and probably an hour and a half for Royal Caribbean as it was totally disorganized on our last crusie) but things can and do get crazy on departure days so plan accordingly!

Would never recommend this place to anybody, the corner would be better. Night shift manager Dave or David threatened to call the police on me as I tried to check in under my parents reservation. Had to reach out to Fairfield corporate to get my name added to the reservation. After doing so, Dave still wouldn t let us in and and waited for corporate to reach out to him. Mentioned it was policy despite the fact we ve checked in this way over 30 times this year. Insane customer service for a hospitality company - no ability edit reservation, no ability to add new name to reservation, police threatened to be called because David is incompetent in being a hotel manager, and the guest wifi went down for a majority of our stay. His inability to function in role was entertaining and useless. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any interest in remedying this situation. Dave knows who I am:)

Basically an average hotel but in a relatively quiet neighborhood only that the housekeeping is not done daily and management didn t do anything about it in fact whenI mentioned it to the front desk (a young blonde employee) totally dismissed my request and simply replied: It ll be done between 8 and 5 ! And wouldn t even make eye contact with me as if I was staying there for free! I told her that it was my 7th day at the hotel and NO ONE had even attempted to throw away the trash!!!! Her reply without raising her head from staring into her iPhone was: It ll be done between 8 and 5! I didn t want to make a scene, for there were people near so I simply walked away and mentioned to her that I would take the time to rate the hotel and my experience and she simply shrugged her shoulders as if I was a child meaning so what?!?! She needs a non-customer contact job!!! Oh if I could be her supervisor for only one minute! That s all I would need to say: YOU RE FIRED!!!

I will be filing a complaint on BBB and through Marriott because this is an inconvenience. Its NCAA tournament weekend and most hotels are booked. So disrespectful!!

Stuff happens but it is how you handle it that counts I am a loyal Marriott customer. I missed lifetime platinum by one year. The low rating is for the Hotel, not Marriott. I had a mishap at Fairfield Inn & Suites Houston League City - Tarell Calvin GM. Things happen but how you handle them makes for loyalty (or not). I checked in and they placed me on the second floor above the bar and lobby which was fine until the wedding. I got no sleep that night. By the time it quieted down, I was a few hrs from having to get up so I had to force myself to stay up so I would not be a wreck. Marriotts customer service was fantastic. The hotel - not so much. I wanted compensation for that night ($195), not points. Why should the stockholders or other hotels pay right? The hotel never contacted me even though there were exchanges with Marriott customer service. The GM refused to meet with me. Her assistant said the matter was closed since they moved me (at my request) the next day and since I refused the points. PS. I did say I would write bad reviews and send letters but no dice.

Management and front desk reception are beyond substandard. If you want to be ignored, dismissed, and greeted with nonchalance by all means here s your place. The manager Terrell and associate Terra are the absolute worst in regards to actual customer service. Apparently someone needs to get back to a elementary level on manner s and how to present yourself professionally when specking to all customers!

Room was very clean however did not have any towels to use. Asked to upgrade my room to a king, was told I could not. I m on nights so room service was unable to tend to my room during the day since I was sleeping. My boss extended my stay so I asked to switch rooms so they can clean the room I was in and I could have a clean room, they told me they d check until the manager walked in and said no they wouldn t let me switch rooms. I said then just check me out then, they didn t give me any reason as to why I couldn t switch rooms. They simply said fine and checked me out of the hotel without even trying to help.

Breakfast was a little limited in options but there was something for everyone. Overall a great stay and I d recommend this place to my friends and family.

Service is awesome. Breakfast was fresh. Property is beautiful and a great location. But the bed was horribly stiff, Id been more comfortable in the bed of my truck. If you use a hairdryer or other bathroom electric items, bring a long extension cord. The only useable plugs are by the bed. Everything was great except sleeping! Oh and somebody wouldnt shut their dog up!

I have always enjoyed staying at Marriott properties and this one did not disappoint. Check in was quick and painless. Breakfast offered every morning. Snacks and drinks offered at front desk. Room includes fridge and microwave. There is a bar located in the lobby which I think is a great amenity for guests so you dont have to worry about leaving the hotel or what area of town you are going to if you want to enjoy a drink.

Disappointing. There was a bachelorette party next door to us with loud music screaming and just general noise. Front desk spoke with them but seeing how they were friends nothing was actually done about it. We paid for 2 rooms. Seeing how they disrupted half the floor they should have been kicked out instead of letting their behavior continue. There was a group of us and in total we had 6 rooms booked. I guess you don t really care about repeat business.

Very clean facility. Everything is modern and well kept. One of the things I feel worth mentioning is the place is built well enough you dont hear everything from the neighboring rooms. For me, that was a huge plus. The continental breakfast was excellent, and offered a considerable variety of things to choose from. During my stay, each morning they had: meat, egg, cheese croissants, egg, spinach, cheese quiche, scones, English muffins, cereal, oatmeal, and yogurt (likely more I just cant recall); as well as a variety of hot & cold beverage options. The location has an inhouse bar and fitness center, both appeared nice from what I saw, but I didnt utilize either while there. Overall, I was very pleased with the location and my stay. I would recommend staying here, and would return if in the area again.

After being called by the hotel manager that my old card on file needed to be updated for an upcoming reservation, I was told to just create a new reservation (later realizing I chose the prepaid un-refundable rate), the manager promising the old one would be cancelled. The weekend of the stay we had poor weather and our local event was cancelled. We asked to cancel the stay but were unable to. I understood at least paying for a night or two, but the manager was unhelpful, rude and made poor jokes with other employees about my wife. This was scheduled for 3 nights. I have stayed at many Marriott locations that were much more helpful than this location. When I asked Marriott to intervene, they refused. Later, I realized they charged my card for both reservations and was informed that they investigated and no action would be taken. Poor service, poor communication and above all else, no ethical standards. We ended up being charged 2 different reservations and the hotel not helping in anyway. Stay away from this location or make sure you have no interaction with the manager there.

Very nice hotel that I would stay at again. The room felt very modern and fresh. I don t usually stay at Marriott hotels but may do so more in the future after my two night stay here. The only complaints I would have would ge the unusual housekeeping schedule (I left in the morning and turned my service light on but did not receive service), and the free breakfast ends too early. Other than that, good stay and a straightforward hotel!

It s a nice hotel. But service is not up to par. They do not clean your room, we were told two different stories. One they do not clean but every 3rd day you stay due to corp policy due to COVID restrictions. That s just silly, wiping down surfaces is a good practice to stop the spread. They are going to have to clean it anyways, so what does three days have to do with COVID. We had trash over flowing the trash cans, which had food in some containers. I just gave up, just left it over flow to the floor because obviously that combats COVID per front desk explanation of what is to be done to stop the spread of COVID. we had to retrieve towels, toilet paper for our stay, because rooms are not serviced regularly. It s 2022, COVID is always going to be around, let s move on and stop using not wanting to have good customer service in a hotel as an excuse. We ended up having 3 different reservations because our days were changing, so I would add a reservation to cover the days I needed to add, but we were required to come down to front desk and check out and check back in when a new reservation started, so how do they justify their we don t clean but every 3 days , when we started a new reservation when required so we did not stay 3 days straight in any of the 3 reservations. They didn t treat the 3 reservations as 1 reservation, but chose to not clean them room but once the whole time we were there, they just made up excuses as they went. It s sad because the hotel is a nice big room, but in hind sight now, how nasty they do not disenfect on a regular basis. So grinding in dirt and germs is their corp policy.

A 1 star ONLY because it s required. 07/23/2022 my family & I checked into this hotel with the purchase of THREE ROOMS. As soon as I walked into MY room I immediately smelled MILDEW. The pillows or sheets smell like MILDEW. 07/24 we go to breakfast if you like powdered eggs, play-dough waffles , & oil based sausage. Go for it. My aunt in the 2/3 room had a DEADLY SMELL in her room. When we complained to the RUDE RECEPTIONIST they offered ZERO resolution due to rooms being booked . Ok . No rooms = REFUND ? Right? NO! TARRA decided to call the police on our family and threatened to have us put out . When the police arrive their confused as to why they re there. Nothing got resolved & we end up paying for a night at the Westin woodlands , where the experience was lovely and we didn t have to smell dirty mop water lobbies.

There was little to choose from and what they did have, like the ham, egg and cheese croissants, were still frozen. And last but most importantly NOT A SAFE AREA. BEWARE: STATUS MEANS LITTLE HERE!!! Arrived early but with Titanium Elite status. I was informed by the gentleman at the counter that they could not check/hold onto my bag so that I could work within the common area. I travel international and domestic and have never had a situation where a hotel, least of all a Marriott property, would not check a bag until your room was available. He said it was against their policy. Unbelievable and disappointing! Every other hotel I ve been to have always offered to hold onto my bag, provided internet access and encouraged guests to make themselves comfortable until the room was available. My initial introduction is a gross disappointment! The only redeeming quality, so far, is this Marriott property is new construction. I will update as my stay progresses once I finally get checked in.

The grounds outside has trash around the building, pool towels used and on the ground. The lobby bathroom (men) was not cleaned from Friday through Sunday. Toilet paper was replaced so someone who works for hotel had to have seen the counter and sinks icky. No fresh coffee for early risers and what is called breakfast is such a cop out. I mean when did Marriott become so cheep? And not talking about the room price either. Asked for towels on day two of four day stay never got any, I had to get it myself from front desk. And requested room cleaning never happened. O sure the staff was friendly, but I believe it s because they are so incompetent they only have friendliness to keep their jobs.
