Every item we ordered was so delicious and beautifully presented! Great spot and open late. We ordered the pineapple jalapeno marg, avocado marg, skinny marg (cant remember their name for it), street corn, guacamole, poblano shrimp, bang bang shrimp tacos, and charro beans. Staff was super friendly and sweet.

My favorite restaurant EVER. Dargy is the sweetest server ever. So friendly and attentive. Mariel and Luis (managers) run this place amazingly. The food is always perfect. I started with a Mezcal mix drink and it had flavor. It took me back to Oaxaca. I ordered the street corn as an appetizer, it did not disappoint. Finished the night with the Birria tacos. 4 in the order. Great flavor and lots of cheese in the birria tacos which was a plus for me. If Im ever in Galveston again Im bringing someone else with me to try out more meals. P.S. I order one more drink Watermelon tajin and tequila Recommend it for sure.

Just finished an AMAZING meal at Vida Agave. The flavor palettes used across every item we tried were rich, varied, and so, so savory. So much attention to even the smallest details (their salsa verde a new favorite ). Manager Luisa and server Valerie ensured we had a great experience and there was lots of great teamwork in evidence throughout the restaurant. The bacon wrap jalapeños were good. The blackened salmon was also good. I had the flautas they were ok. I liked the rice, and so did my God, son. He wasnt crazy about the chicken stripes and waffle fries. The salsa had a nice flavor to it but no real spice to it, which was fine by me. I dont do spicy. I cant say how the birria tacos were. I didnt have them, and the person who did didnt say much about them. The chicken enchiladas were alright. I was told the green sauce could have had a bit more spice to it. Overall, it was an alright meal it. I wouldnt go out of my way to eat there again, but if I had to, I would.

What a great little place! We (my husband, 2yo, and me) went on a Friday evening and they had a saxophonist as their live music. He was so good! I was impressed with my bang bang shrimp tacos. The rice and charro beans were excellent. Best Ive had in a while. Husbands chimichurri tacos were lacking a little flavor according to him though. The kiddo thoroughly enjoyed his cheese quesadillas. I had the pineapple jalapeño margarita and it tasted like a spicy spiked pineapple juice. I loved it. My husband did ask for a second margarita and our waiter acknowledged him in the affirmative from what we saw, but forgot about it by the time he got to the bar and never put it in. Next time he came to the table he asked if we were ready for the check so we just didnt bring it up again because I had finished mine and the kiddo was done eating too. Everyone was very nice even though it was a busy night. Parking: The parking lot is very small, about 6 spots, but there is street parking all around.

Out of towners here.visiting Labor Day weekend. And let me tell you this place is amazing, from the food to the service it was all around great. Was looking for some good Mexican food in the area and this place popped up. I went based on the reviews and so happy it did not disappoint. Went on a Saturday evening around 5:30pm was very skeptical because this place was not busy at all. Maybe just a handful of people. Chris was our waiter that night, it took him about a good 10mins to come visit our table at first but after that his service was phenomenal. He made sure our drinks were full and our belly s were full. The food the first night we started off with the chips and queso. It was yummy, i think it needed little more spice or ingredients maybe some more jalpenos but it wasn t bad. Our son loved it. We also tried the bacon wrapped poppers, it was delicious but dang were they spicy. I had to give them to my partner because they were little too spicy for my liking. The ranch it came with was homemade which is a must in Texas, and so good. To our entrees I got the bang bang shrimp with waffle fries, and it was so good. The sauce and the shrimp cooked to perfection. I was so surprised how good it blended together and taste so good. My partner got the surf and turf tacos. He enjoyed them and said everything was flavorful. Our son got the corn dog and waffle fries and he ate all his food I tried a few drinks while we were there, the first drink was the watermelon tajin it was very delicious. Small but a good drink to drink after a long hot day at the beach. The next drink I had was watermelon mint. I really liked that one, it was refreshing and just the right amount mint and enough watermelon without the mint overpowering. The last drink I tried and Chris recommended was the La French. It had these amazing little boba raspberry balls and they were so good. Chris our waiter did amazing job and we were so amazed from the food to the drinks we came back the next night on Sunday. We requested for him but unfortunately he wasn t there on. And Lizbeth was our waiter. Sunday too for some odd reason was very busy I assumed because of the holiday weekend but they were so busy that they were telling people who came through the door that they were backed up in the kitchen and there was going to be a wait. Lizbeth it took her a good minute to come visit our table at first. She was very apologetic for the wait since it was so busy and we totally understood we were in no hurry. Our entrees my husband got the same thing as the day before just asked for the guacamole on the side and I got the chefs special which was the Mexican pita with chicken fajita. And godly that thing was gigantic. Full of fajita and guacamole and it had peppers and I opt out on the the grilled onions. It was very good, and full of flavor. The manager , I didn t get her name was very helpful she visited our table few times to make sure we were okay. Lizbeth once it died down she was ontop of everything and she visited with us for little bit before we left. I never seen this girl stopped moving she was constantly staying busy the whole 2hrs were there for. Overall this place is a must while visiting Galveston. And surely you won t see the last of us 3. I visited vida agave a few days ago and the experience was phenomenal. Right from the get go I received excellent customer service even when the restruant itself was quite busy. It was later in the day and I was at the bar. Alondra, the bartender did an excellent job making sure everybodys drinks were made and that everyone was serviced she also gave me a great recommendation with the agave fries. We had a party of 7 and were quickly accommodated around the early dinner time, between 5 and 6pm. Service was quick, friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu. Dargy was an excellent waitress with a bright and cheery personality, as well as a warm smile! She was extremely helpful with every question we had. We just finished eating in this place, and I ve to say, this place was worth the drive. We just came to hang out in Galveston tonight, and my husband happened to see the reviews, and we decided to give it a shot, and my goodness, it was incredible!! David did an excellent job taking care of us. Forget the touristy traps, come to this gem and get the poblano shrimp and ceviche!!

The food is fantastic! Parking is very small and can be hard to get in and out of. The staff was very friendly and quick. Parking: Small parking lot shared with and shared with other businesses. It can fill up quickly during the lunch rush. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp available, and the restaurant is a single floor.

We stumbled across Vida Agave on our first day of vacation. This restaurant was the best surprise on our first evening out. The environment is so cute as you walk in, the delicious smell of all the food, and the kind, welcoming staff makes for a wonderful experience. Luisa was our waitress and she was absolutely amazing! We ordered ceviche as an appetizer and that was so delicious I will have dreams about it! The drinks we ordered and every dish we ate was perfection. We ll definitely be back before we leave Galveston!

Google doesnt say that this place turns in to a bar/club at 11pm, and doesnt serve a full menu. We had been sitting for approx 10 minutes when we were asked to order our food, have it delivered to the table and complete our meal in 25 minutes. I dont recommend this place at all! Kid-friendliness: They do not allow children in the restaurant after 11pm because it is then turned into a bar/club. Google says they close at 11pm

We started with the Chips and Queso, which were absolutely delicious. The Birria Tacos were next-level packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. The worse Birria tacos, quesadilla I have ever had! Tasteless and birria broth was hot water and oil. Very expensive ,tacos with breaded deep fried Salmon disgusting salmon absolutely no flavor except fish flavor and in a cold tortilla?who dreamed of that taco?? Service was all over and not addressing the issues , manager had to be requested to explain what her kitchen is putting out, she defended by stating that we all cook different. Wow! We went on a late lunch, so not crowded. Food was fantastic. Had the street corn, chimichurri asada, chips and salsa, and the chipotle enchiladas We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails. All of it was great. The salsas were not spicy, but had a really good flavor. The tacos had crisp fried onion strings and roasted bell peppers. I topped them with some of the green salsa as I really liked it. The wife loved the enchiladas. The beans and rice sides were also good. Not just an afterthought to a entree. Had the Mexican Martini, Mexican Lollipop, and the Watermelon Tajin cocktails. All were good. Will definitely come back. Came back a 3rd time. Got the Blackened Mahi Mahi Tacos. Probably my favorite thing in the menu so far.

This is the place to go! The food is to die for. The drink are prefect! We needed to venture away from all the over rated and pricey restaurants on the seawall and stumbled upon this jewel. We were celebrating our anniversary and it was the perfect place. Maria the manager went that extra mile and gave us a beautiful decorated dessert. Decent Food, High Prices, Poor Service I recently dined here and had a mixed experience. The food itself was undeniably mediocre - each dish was expertly prepared but lacking flavor. However, I couldnt overlook the exorbitant prices on the menu. The cost of a meal here is simply unjustifiably high for the portion given and the flavor of the food especially considering similar establishments in the area. To add to the disappointment, the service left much to be desired. The waitstaff seemed disinterested and inattentive, making the overall dining experience less enjoyable. Simple requests took too long to be fulfilled, and there was a lack of warmth and hospitality that one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. I don t recommend. Save your money.

We stopped in for a Cinco de Mayo Margarita after a long drive from DFW and we enjoyed this establishment! Tried the margarita flight and it was very refreshing! We will definitely be back to try out more food. We tried a Taco with that margarita and The Mahi fish itself was light on flavor but whatever sauce they had it in made it super yummy! The drinks: the frozen margarita flight is incredible. Hard to choose from the three flavors - the Chambord margarita, champagne margarita and the mango chamoy margarita. The mango chamoy margarita is incredibly different and very good. The one with champagne in it is superb too. The food: the veggie quesadilla is one of the best weve had - well cooked and bursting with vegetables plus large enough for two people and very affordable. There are several other veg options. The dessert: the flan has a slightly rough texture and is fier than the typical flan. Dense, flavorful, large quantity and with a wonderful strawberry sauce. A repeatable dessert! A great experience - great drinks, food, and service. A very definite return here type of place! A huge shout-out to Luisa, the manager who came by to ask us how everything was and Juan, our very knowledgeable and chill waiter. Vegetarian options: There are at least 4 veg main meal options and a veg appetizer or two. They can be made vegan too, so thats a huge bonus.
