I am writing this review because I have had many months to think about this and to deal with the cleanup of 9 months or so with my new team of accountants. I own a rather large business, 5 million average in revenue. I hired Tom and his staff early last year to help me get my books in an even tow because my prior accountant did a terrible job and did not facilitate my numbers correctly. So, I was told by Tom that they went in from 2017-present to clear up our books and to ensure that everything is reconciled and correct for my taxes. Thousands of dollars later, I was told that everything was good enough for taxes and that my books were ready to be handed over to a new accountant who could handle the more niche complexities of my business, as they were not willing to take on that responsibility. During this time, he recommended that my business switch from Accrual to Cash. He had me fill out the power of attorney and I was told that they would send the form to the IRS. Well, they did not. When I asked about it they said that the old accountant was to do that. Which I never agreed to because I filled out the POA for him, not the old CPA. Why would he have me fill out a POA for him if my old accountant was to send it/talk to the IRS? So here I am. Going to file my taxes for 2023 but I can t because the IRS never got the form, and with us transitioning our books from accrual to cash I again had to go and fix everything in the backend. This has created a nightmare! I am thousands of dollars into a new bookkeeper going and fixing all of the work that they stated was done, but nothing was reconciled between 2018,19,20 and 21. I am 9 months into the post cleanup and we still are not there yet. I have many opportunities from venture capitalists come up and I have had to put them on hold because our books are just a mess from their changes + not even fixing what the prior accountant did + the thousands I spent with them to fix it when they didn t, and not to mail the form either. With the IRS not receiving the form it put my business in a bad position (even though on the phone, he said everything would be fine when he shrugged responsibility). So quick to blame others when we didn t even do the job correctly initially. Not a good experience. They were nice people and professional so 2/5 but I would not recommend them to anyone as I felt I was misled and told things were done they were not! For being a chair member on the chamber of commerce I would expect better.

I m sure they know their stuff, but $375 to file a simple W-2 and a 3-4 1099s? Lol no, H&R Block and even a bunch of other individual CPAs will do that for less than half that price. Mostly leaving this to save people the phone call. If you own a business/home/have other complex tax situations, this place will probably do well for your needs. Regular Joe individual? Keep looking.

Not your typical review but the guy is awesome! From an employee with a w2 with student loan debt/interest etc. from 18-23 years old, then self employed until now; (with just google tax sites as a guide) it s always been worth every penny. Couldn t have asked for someone more helpful, patient or better starting up my business. A very successful close friend recommended him to me and I ve used him ever since. Taxes, a huge part of life Life, would ve been a lot easier had I met him earlier. most informative helpful accountant I ve delt with; My friends, family and successful mentors all use him for a good reason. From plain ol w2s to the big league businessmen, he really is the best. P.S. my LAST accountant made mistakes and I owed let s say some change and Tom explained it in detail, helped me fix it and easily got back on track. Sorry for the long rant but to me, he s a savior In a sense... To condense it all, Tom is the man.

I walked in with some questions and Mr. Crews never hesitated to sit me down and help me with what I needed right away! Super nice person as I ve never met him before but he treated me like I ve been a regular client of his for years. Mr. Crews was so helpful last year, my mom was in the hospital, there was no way she was going to be out before her taxes were due, I called Mr. Crews office and the ladies there were very helpful, they took care of everything for my mom and I. Last year I lost my mom due to cancer and was again having to call upon Mr. Crews and his office for assistance this year with filing for my moms taxes for the last time. Mr. Crews was so amazing and helped with the simple things that I needed and had questions on. I recommend Mr. Crews and his office to anyone who needs help with taxes and accounting questions or concerns.

TOM CREWS, CPA - TOP NOTCH Mr. Crews is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and very personable. This was my first time working with Mr. Crews and I am beyond impressed. Mr. Crews had my taxes done in a very reasonable time frame and his prices are very reasonable. I came in to review my taxes and was extremely impressed with the large over head flat screen TV in which Mr. Crews went over every section of my taxes. Tom did an excellent job. I went to Tom this year to have my taxes done. I have some new investments and properties, and I moved and blended a family, and there was just a lot of things I didn t feel comfortable doing. I reviewed a few CPA s online and chose Tom Crews do to reviews. I m glad I did. Him and his wife are very friendly and accommodating. Tom took the time to explain things to me (I m a bit obsessive so this can be a task), he walked me through my return, his files on my info were accurate. We had a few choices on how to proceed and he offered his opinion on the best way to proceed but never pressured me into one thing or another. His work was impeccable and everything went off without a hitch and I am a very satisfied customer and I will be returning annually to Mr. Crews. I highly recommend Tom. Hope this helps.

Trusted Tom Crews to file 5 federal tax returns for my family and company. As the IRS deadline approached it became clear that something was not right. With the approaching IRS deadline, Tom had only completed 3 of the 5 returns. Advice from Tom resulted in a tussle with my family s estate planning attorney, who upon reflection was clearly correct with her advice/work. During a meeting to resolve these issues I was shocked when Tom abruptly stated that he no longer wanted my business. 6 months later I was struggling with IRS issues on 1 of the 3 returns Tom did file. Very disappointed. UPDATE Nov-20-18: Unfortunately I am a very real, former, client. Full name is David Jetelina,Tom knows good & well who I am.

After having our taxes done the IRS sent us a note for mistakes made on the return. When we tried to resolve the matter Tom covered the penalty but had his secretary deliver the message that he no longer wanted our business. Disappointed in this local business. I would not recommend using them.
