Found a dirty nail in my food that I picked up from the restaurant while I was in the middle of my meal, had to pull the nail out of my mouth. Absolutely disgusting. Restaurant was very inconsiderate and did not even apologize to me, told me that there is nothing they can do because I ordered it from doordash. I proceeded to tell them that I personally picked it up and they proceeded to tell me that they cannot give me a refund. This is a health code violation.

This was my first time visiting Tensai. First of all, I really enjoyed the whole ambience of the place, the lights, the fixtures, the decorations. Everything was really nice, I would consider a nice spot for a romantic sushi date for dinner time. The food it self was also super good. The service was okay, but to be fair it seems like they were short-staffed at the moment. The rolls tasted super fresh, and the presentation was practically perfect. I got the mango roll and it was delicious. Their white rice with chicken was also very good. Would definitely come again. $$

Everything was going great until me and my fiance and sister in law saw a roach fall from the ceiling into the glass sushi bar where they do the prepping, crawling around. My fiance told the waiters very discreet about what we saw and not even a apology we recieved. They acted like they couldnt find it. So we stopped eating and we asked for our tab. We were disgusted & disappointed.

Good, clean, prompt service. Very convenient and the staff is great, friendly and accommodating. Both times Ive been their a little slow with refills and checking up on you. There was only knew other table with 3 guest and another time with 2 tables with 5 and 2 guest over similar experience with staff accommodation. The freshest sushi Ive had (aside from when I lived in Japan) so good and they are very consistent with orders. I recommend the Rainbow Roll for sure.

The food was delicious. The best poblanos soup Ive had anywhere in South Texas. The shrimp appetizer had just the right combination of flavors. Love the rolls. I had my first tamarind margarita ever with chile rim and it was so fresh!! Going back anytime of the day. The staff is very friendly.

Most everyday good food and beverages, however if you go on a Sunday, after 2pm, be prepared to find 2-3 families departing on one big table with looooots of children!! Parents on their merry dialogues and children unsupervised making all the noise in the world, with absolute disregard for the rest of the guests. Padres, los niños se aburren pronto, váyanse entonces con sus niños a un McDonalds, o un parque, o una plaza pública: los niños se divierten y ustedes platican todo lo que quieran. How rude to have so many unsupervised children in a dining place.

Love the atmosphere.. Went my in laws and wife for her bday.. Our servers christina and eligio were the best loved there amigable and thankful and cheerful attitude towards the guest.. Tensai sushi is undeniably the best sushi in Laredo. Their rolls are expertly crafted, and their fish is high quality. Their nigiri and sashimi are nothing short of splended, and their other dishes such as yakisoba and teppanyaki also awesome. Dont forget about their homemade desserts which are absolutely amazing.
