Not pet friendly. Staff refuses to serve anyone sitting outside. I unfortunately couldnt come in as it was just me and my 90 lb German shepherd. I couldnt leave him alone with all the children on the patio. The young lady who answered the phone said to me rudely if we do any favors for you we will have to do them for everyone else. Wrong. Find a better excuse. I was told by a manager that for legal reasons they cannot serve on the patio. I guess that really depends on who you talk to as Ive been served on the patio recently. Im guessing if its not busy enough they bend their own rule? Either way its difficult to see how it would be a legal issue; Ive lived next door to this establishment since opening and they certainly had full service on that patio in the past. I love the pizza and happy hour drinks here. But the wine prices are so overpriced that only when at half off they are comparable in price to other restaurants. Why pay 65 for a bottle that you can get at Taglia for 32. Servers jump from table to table with no designated sections so service gets awkward. The menu is defidue for an overhaul. Only time that I would recommend Hyde Park is during happy hour and if you have room to sit at the bar. They cannot even accommodate large parties unless they sit outside and come in individually to order at the register.

I had a disappointing experience at Hyde Park. The food was bland and lacked any real flavor definitely not worth the price. To make matters worse, the service was extremely slow and inattentive. Our server seemed completely disinterested, and we had to wait forever just to get our food. What really sealed the deal for me were the dirty dishes. Its unacceptable to be served food on plates that clearly havent been cleaned properly. I wont be returning and wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

I m normally not one to leave a review but I had to share this. We went here for lunch today and the food was great. We got the cheesy bread and the bacon brie marmalade for appetizers. We also got the nice to meat yall, a make your own pepperoni and basil, and the prosciugula for our pizzas. The service was severely lacking. The first person to come up to us grabbed us our waters and menus. We weren t aware that they weren t our server until another person came up and asked for our drink orders. They didn t seem to know anything about what was available, as they had to go ask the bar what kind of hard cider was available (the menu said to ask the server), and two of the drinks we wanted weren t able to be made because they didn t have ingredients available. One of the drinks was their play on an espresso martini and they told us that if we wanted them to make it that we could go to the gelato shop next door to buy espresso from them and they could make our drink with it because they were out of espresso. Then they didn t have any type of sparkling wine to make a mimosa. Understandable, except the people taking orders should be aware of things that aren t available so that it doesn t take 20 minutes to take a drink order. The bartender had to actually come up to our table to talk to us about all of this. Our appetizers came out fine. Then the 1st person came back to us and took our pizza order, which again, who is our actual server?? And they had to come back to our table because they forgot one of the pizzas we wanted (we had no modifications). At this point we re already about 45 minutes in to our dining experience and it took about another 30 for our pizzas to come out. They came out separately, but thankfully they were fresh out of the oven so I m assuming they just ran them as they were pulled out. Normally I wouldn t mind this timeframe for this amount of food, but there were 2 other tables inside the restaurant with us, so I don t understand why things were taking so long. We had to ask every time someone came to the table for more water. There was no prebussing for any of the used dishes that we weren t using anymore. We asked for boxes for our pizza when we were ready to go and the second person brought us out boxes that weren t for pizza and looked like the thin cardboard boxes that you would wrap a shirt in for a gift, so we had to ask the person behind the bar for the actual pizza boxes that were available. Then came the check and we requested it to be split evenly down the middle between 2 cards. The server took the cards and went back to the kiosk behind the bar and was actively struggling to split the bill and had to have someone come to help. Then it looked like they swiped one of our cards multiple times through the struggle. Then someone came in to place a to-go order and they started helping that customer in the middle of finishing taking our payment. We ended up getting up and going over to where they were and just asking for the check to sign so we could leave because it was taking another 10 minutes just to get our cards back. I have no idea what happened today because I ve been looking through all these positive reviews and I was sad that this was our experience. I could have more empathy if it was a busier day; we ve all been there on a busy Sunday morning/afternoon when you have 20 tables by yourself, but this was not that type of day.

The food is amazing! My personal favorites is the pesto sandwich and the brick oven margarita pizza. They also have freshly squeezed lemonade that is out of this world and they allow you to eat next-door if you have friends or family eating at Nobi. Their Gelato bar is also great, they have a large variety of flavors that they rotate every week and the best one so far is the Pistachio, which is creamy, sweet, and lightly salted. Overall, great place 10/10.

My second visit here and it was as good as the first. I don t know how I have passed this place up for so long. The quality of the food is top tier! The service is amazing! Selection of wines is great. Mixed drinks taste fresh and not at all watered down. I typically eat grain free but when I come here I splurge and don t feel sick at all due to the quality of the food. Our faves are the pasta (Brie Alfredo) and the pizzas and Shishito peppers, but you can eat more conservative as well. This is quickly becoming a go to favorite.

First time I came we sat ourselves since there was a sign posted at the front stating to do so. Immediately we were told we were not allowed to sit at that table because it was for large parties although the restaurant was empty. We said there was no one else here and still were told we could not sit there so we walked out. Second time I came in and sat at a table outside. No one ever came up and said a word. After 15 min finally asked a girl walking by if we had to order inside. She half acknowledged me, said yeah and kept walking. Terrible service and no regard for customers. They simply don t care it s very obvious.

Very good food and drinks! Would recommend this place if youre going on a date night and craving pizza! Its kinda pricey, but a nice treat every now and then. Parking was hard to find however and some people were even parking in the grass on a vacant lot, so car pool if youre going in a large group! Would go back if we are ever in the area again.

Tried Hyde Park for the first time today, had high hopes but was quickly disappointed. We sat and waited about 10 minutes before someone actually came and greeted us. They brought us some waters which was the first thing that disappointed. The water tasted metallic and gross, I am sure it came from the tap. We ordered the Cheezy Weezy Bread which was practically inedible. The cheese was super funky and bitter. We ordered the Nice to meat yall pizza and the only positive thing I can say about it was the portion, it was plenty to share between 2-3 people. Other than that, the toppings and cheese were excessively salty. Would not return.

The food looks and smells amazing but it isn t. the vibe would make you believe that you re about to eat some of the best food of your life, but you aren t. Pasta was hardly seasoned and tastes like noodles slapped on top of an egg. Pizza toppings were just slapped on top and fell off as you picked it up. The pizza was also bland; there was no cheese just parmesan sprinkled around the toppings.

The pizza was around 12 in diameter but around 3 was dough. At least one inch away from the crust... It was undercooked and slim on toppings, especially since I ordered double of certain items. Unacceptable for a $25+ pie. The Mac and cheese was cannelloni noodles halved and I (stupidly) took the recommendation to add short ribs for $8 which looked and tasted like someone pureed a McRib, ate it, and then ..... You know what on top of my Mac and cheese.... Roasted sprouts were A+.

I visited this restaurant for lunch with coworkers, and although it was a lot of us, the server took great care of us. We all got our good with little to no hiccups, and my food in particular was very yummy. The atmosphere is bright and not too loud, it was just fine. I had a sandwich called The Other Side, which I recommend if you like chicken.

Nice place, great service, but a very mixed impression regarding the food: on one hand the drinks are great, try the Girl Friend for example - a perfectly balanced dream not only for ladies. But then the Baby Kale Caesar was neither a Caesar nor Kale, without any dressing, terrible. The Steak Bites had a nice tasty mushroom sauce but the steak pieces were more then well done . Chardonnay and Malbec wines by the glass were both boring. And the cutlery: cheapest tin fork so tiny and with sharp edges you could hardly hold them in your hand. So 5 stars for the drinks and the service, and the rest needs improvement.

Overall, the atmosphere is nice. The food here is delicious. It s a nice place for a date as they have indoor and outdoor seating. It s also a great place to have dinner and catch up with friends. I should have ordered the pizza! I saw the double double burger and asked to make it a single single and she said she could do that. It was ok. The bread was fine, the meat was fine but needed a little more seasoning , it was supposed to have caramelized onions but they were sparse. I had to hunt for them. The lettuce is iceberg. The burger is small. The double double would have been better. They ended up charging me for the double even though they gave me a single. I ended up just paying the price instead of flagging down the waitress and having her adjust it. Live and learn and order the pizza next time! The waitress was nice but the service was spotty even though there were fewer than 10 people in the place.

The cocktails are good , but service lacks . Female waitress told my party she could not serve us alcohol and I was not even drinking ..I had a Mocktail . They sat my party in the corner and brought us a Sriacha bottle that was dirty and oozing sauce and I got dirty. After explaining to the manager that the waitress lacked customer service and was in the wrong for basically kicking my party out , he took her side instead of trying to mediate the situation. We were sitting in patio. Apparently they want you to self order the food inside, they expect you to tip 18% for invoice and then there is no service given. The young female server was rude and horrible. We asked for utensils and extra plate when she gave our food. She just showed us the direction of where to get this from and turned her face. Absolute trashy server. Food was decent but given this experience cannot come here again. Just for someone new, would recommend against tipping if you are sitting in patio as you wont get any service.

Had a great time visiting Hyde Park. Went on Saturday evening 4 adults service was prompt, staff was friendly and kind. The meals and cocktails were excellent. Started with a Bretzel, delicious and generous size for sharing (or not) two sauces were unique and great compliments. Margarita was not too sweet which is always a plus. Ordered salad and two pizzas the Fungi was a nice balance and a custom Hawaiian style hit the spot. Thanks for a great experience. Three of us came for dinner on a Saturday evening. We were seated right away. Our waitress was friendly enough and did an ok job. To be honest it was a first time going for me and family, we choose outdoors due to our group to sit together, it was a very warm day, they had water with cups available outdoors, but it was hot no ice at all, we went inside to get some within, you also had to go inside to order your food, we were confused and had no clue until we asked an employee and wondered why we had no service to our table. Looking over our menu, there was nothing tasteful for a child (well at least ours) and the foods in the menu was not of our usual likings, so all 10 of us went elsewhere. I will say it is nice as a chill spot to hang out and enjoy with good friends and laughs, so Ill rate neutral (cold water instead of hot temp water when customers are outdoors especially if hot weather.

We went in for lunch on a Sunday at noon & it was quite empty which made us skeptical but everything was great! We got the nice to meat y all pizza which was really good! & the cold cut trio which again was really good. It was a very refreshing summer sandwich I thought. Will definitely be back for dinner next & some drinks! Oh the only thing my husband said he didn t like is their soda options, no Dr Pepper

This location gives off dinner date , fun times and more. Highly recommend the fungi pizza for all the mushroom lovers. Food was absolutely delicious, fresh and hot. Family friendly as well, and staff was very professional and informative. The only downside is parking in my opinion, but its totally worth it.

Ordered from Door Dash and was pleasantly surprised! We thought the pizzas would be individual and ordered 2. And I ordered the Brie, myself and I, sandwich plus bread pudding! Needless to say I had 2 more meals to enjoy. EVERYTHING was amazing and delicious. I highly recommend the Fungi pizza if you love mushrooms. The flavors were so good. Im craving that bread pudding! Its nothing like I have ever had. Also, I love their to-go packaging. Paper boxes not plastic. Thank you Hyde Park! I will be a regular.

JJ was our waiter, he was great. The atmosphere was relaxed and exactly what we were looking for for a no kid date night and not the hustle of a chain restraint. The food was impeccable and reasonably priced for the portions. The cheesy bread and balsamic was unexpectedly great. The steak Medallions were yummy and the shrimp andujie sauce alfredo was chef kisses. In & out in 47 minutes and I dont feel like it was rushed or too long. Just perfect.

Love this place! Its a casual spot with gourmet food. You get unique eats without having to drive inside the Loop -- one of the few places in Clear Lake like it. We almost always order the The Fungi pizza -- delicious mushrooms with balsamic vinegar and gorgonzola cheese. The dough is slightly charred on top and perfect. Highly recommend Hyde Park. Great food, and its comfy enough for families, but still nice enough for a date night.

This might seem odd, but first of all, I love hyde park. The food is always good, they have a good cocktail menu, a nice relaxing atmosphere. The reason for this negative review is all about the staff. We frequent both nobi and hyde park, and in terms of staff friendliness and service, they could not be more different. On our first visit, we were greeted at the door, and made to feel very welcome, by whom I can only assume was a manager. Repeated visits revealed this was not the standard operating procedure. The staff is not very friendly, aloof might be a more apt description, and they seem more interested in socializing with each other than attending to customers. One bartender in particular, mullet/mustache/hat guy, has been downright rude on several occasions, to myself as well as friends; when he isnt ignoring you, he treats questions or requests with near contempt. The business does not seem to be suffering, but if you begin wondering in the coming months and years why you might be experiencing a drop in business, start here.

Everything was good but nothing was remarkable- especially for the price point. We got three drinks, two gin based and one rum. The gin of choice here ruined the drinks- they were far too overpowering even for someone who likes gin. Everything felt slightly under seasoned. As fans of Nobi we were disappointed by Hyde Park ): Cute place for a date night but spending just shy of $100 to leave a somewhat dissatisfied means we won t be coming back.

Some of the best pizza Ive had... The BanhMizza surprised me, thought it was gonna be just for looks but it was delicious. All pizzas were tasty. The big pretzel was tasty as well, perfectly salted and cheese added. The Alfredo noodle lacked taste and the charcuterie board wasnt really my or anyones favorite. Other than that. I definitely recommend eating here, enjoy!

I have been sleeping on this gem !!!! I came here Friday to buy my son s teacher a gift card and came back Saturday with friends to try their food out for my first time. I am on a cut for a bodybuilding show so this was my cheat meal. I have been craving pizza and I can honestly say THIS IS THE BEST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD my friends had a banh-mai style pizza (forgot the name) and it was yummy I built my own pizza and tried out a prosciutto with mozzarella and jalapeños combination. Our waiter suggested a hot honey sauce on top. I was hesitant but took his advice and it was absolutely delicious the crust was perfect, not too thick and had a generous amount of toppings. I m all about my toppings more then crust. It was fresh and had all the yummy prosciutto flavor and spicy to go with. Service was friendly, not too overbearing, and I can t thank our waiter enough for suggesting that hot honey sauce. I ve found a new rekindled love for pizza. Thank you guys, I will be back soon!

Awful experience. Went after being multiple times before and having great food. Outside was full and multiple 6+ tables available inside. Sat down with menu and waiter said table reserved. Was not familiar with reservations at this place. questioned waiter who wanted the three of us outside and he said tables reserved even though no one waiting at hyde park. Left and called to make reservation and they said had that table available in 5 min. Obviously looking to fill large groups. Sad as I always order and tip well. Management needs to address

Very solid experience. Really nice environment. The food could use some improvement as a lot of the flavors are too similar; garlic is heavily used here, which is not an issue, but a lot of the items even the ranch tasted the same. The fungi pizza is really nice and light! The pizza dough is done just right allowing every slice to hold itself together and not be floppy. Steak Bites are decent.. not too much going on as far as flavors go.. a lot of the little things taste like one big dish just different textures.. Friendly staff and they explain their system very thoroughly!

Me and my family dined her last weekend, and it was outstanding. The waiter was super informative, kind and an uplifting presence about him. I wish I could remember his name! We got a buffalo chicken pizza and not a mis-steak sandwich; both were delicious. We even went into the gelato shop that was connected to the restaurant and it was also amazing. Place is OUTSTANDING! Our server JJ (this guy made the night, his knowledge of the menu and recommendations were way above and beyond) started out with a Moscato and Root Beer Old Fashioned (superb) then went to a BRIE & BACON MARMALADE, & SHISHITO PEPPERS (both outstanding!) then ordered the CHARRED OCTOPUS (Best Ive ever had, better than Pearlas in Austin) and finished with the BREAD PUDDING (extremely well done, perfect finish). First time here and went with the double double and a pineapple pepperoni pizza. They had good 90 s and 2000 s music playing and all the staff were smiling and engaging.
