Although we did see a lot of wildlife from javelinas to coyotes and even a deer, it was the dirtiest trashiest State Park my husband and I had visited. We were able to observe a lot of tarantulas crossing the road after the rain, and in search of their mates! Toilets: There are a lot of bathroom facilities, and they seemed to be decently stocked

Was a nice and clean state park. The staff was great. This was the first time we have ever had a person in our site when we arrived. Their trailer was there but nobody was there. Luckily the staff was easy to get ahold of and were able to provide a comparable site to adjust to. Park was quiet, had a great stay here.

Beautiful lake but hard to fish from the bank. Have to wade out around in the water to fish the cat tails and reeds that is a long bank. Need a kayak or boat if you want to get to the fish or fish the other side of the lake. Toilets: A lot of restrooms placed through out the park. Picnic area: A lot of picnic areas with grills on some of them.

Overall the lake is good to get away from hot weather, but the showers are filthy and they have roaches and huge spiders and other creatures that live there. I would not recommend using the showers, the hosts/park people don t clean them or upkeep them at all. Toilets: Spiders and roaches in the showers

Beautiful campground, very clean park, workers are nice and helpful. Unfortunately we couldnt book a site with sewer because they were all taken, but the dump station was very near so it was perfect! Our area had everything we needed. We definitely will plan another trip out soon. Kids had so much fun playing in the lake! My son enjoyed fishing from the pier.

Clean & well kept park (except for the large bathrooms, bad lighting and spider webs in the showers but your camping so . ) Staff is always friendly. We stay here a lot for work and it s very convenient. Toilets: Restroom in the 100 circle are very nice and clean but the larger one by the old pool that no longer exists is usually very dirty and the lighting is dim. It s not an issue for me but if you have small kids they may not want to be in there at night Dog-friendliness: All the Tx Stare parks are very pet friendly! Just keep them on a leash and pick up after them.

We had a great week here. We stayed in site 106 - full hookups, nice afternoon shade and great access to the lake. It was very quiet while we were there (Apr 12-18) with only a couple of other RVs in the loop - felt like we had the place to ourselves. We enjoyed walking in the morning to the fishing pier and the old museum on the hill. We would definitely stay here again when back in Laredo.

Lake Casa Blanca holds many beautiful and happy memories for Laredoans. I just wish the state would add more restrooms, water stations, shaded areas, and picnic tables by the water. Playground: The main playground needs a big touch up. Toilets: Very few water stations and bathrooms are usually not near the picnic tables or shade. Picnic area: Very few picnic areas by the lake.

It s so peaceful here. Well the RV hook up part is peaceful. If you are coming to the lake for a peaceful day. DO NOT DO IT! KIDS EVERYWHERE not doing anything wrong just being kids which is beautiful. My idea of peace and quiet is anywhere without kids tho. The grounds can get extremely nasty from the families and the kids. Which is bazaar to me. KEEP YOUR PARKS CLEAN!!!

Its an alright park, the focus seems to be more on fishing and camp sites. Theres no visitors center so you cant get any cool park souvenirs. There are some good views you can find at some of the lookouts over the lake. There are some good birds you can find, from water birds like black-necked stilts and gulls, to roadrunners and black-throated sparrows.

Great park for camping, with lots of wildlife, despite being in a city. Campground was nicely paved and level, facilities clean, trails well marked, and ranger led nature programs on the weekends. This park gets lots of day use as well, fishing is a popular activity. Convenient to shopping if needed. There is some playground equipment, leashed-dog friendly, lots of lakeside picnic tables, and restrooms are well spaced through the park, so that even if you go on quite a long hike, you are always less than a mile from a restroom.

Second year we stay at park site #110. Wish it was more leveled but we made it work :) campsite was clean and had a nice view of the lake. Can t wait to come back next year. Park has nice trails and speed limit on road is 20. The site includes picnic table with a metal canopy so you can hang lights because it is very dark at night. The exit to park is extremely tight for a 45 ft Motor Coach towing a SUV

It s been great parking the RV here! Minor hiccup on check in day with the after hours code, but it s been great since. I have seen lots of animals I didn t even think I would encounter lol. It s the first time I take the RV to a State Park. I saw a wild hog family, a possum, lots of deer, an armadillo, and a handful of wild bunnies during my drives . Super quiet and peaceful here, with beautiful views. The full hook up sites were booked out but the other sites have lots of availability with more privacy in my opinion. Overall it has been a really nice experience. Right next to the loop and restaurants/ Walmart are super close by.

This Texas State Park seems to be having an old fashioned identity crisis. It is first and foremost an urban park. There is no darkness at night, if that is something that is important to you. I picked up a small pile of glass, along with the ubiquitous bread ties and beer caps from our site upon arrival. You could not allow a pet or child to play without doing a good clean up first. There are some simple trails for walking. The park is quiet, with distant urban noise and the airport noise isn t too bad. The sites are roomy with paved parking pads but there are few with any privacy. We were lucky to have a quiet corner. One problem we had was when we returned from picking up groceries (we re in a van) only to find someone happily setting up their huge rv in our site. We were lucky that they packed back up and moved when we explained it was our booked and paid for site for three nights. Apparently that may or may not happen. In the past, others have been relocated by the park warden and did not get their booked site. Unfortunately, the office is kept locked and the solo park employee at the entrance window seems to be there sporadically?? Guests arriving with no bookings do self check in and this means that they access the park and then wander to choose their own camp site; even if it s the one you booked days or weeks in advance. Sigh. This leads to a stressful and potentially confrontational situation which guests should not have to deal with. A proper checkin system, with registration slips displayed on a post at the site, indicating it is taken, would eliminate the problem without the need to increase staff. Overall, an enjoyable stay, despite a few hiccups. It s urban location is great for exploring Laredo, but the park is tiered, understaffed and a little abused. It s a shame when there s clearly so much potential here.

Its a nice place to hang out with family and friends. You can easily tell there has been no investment to it. Hopefully our local and state government take it in consideration to beautify it like other state parks.

We have visited the campground at Lake Casa Blanca State Park several times in the past 2 years. All of the sites have electric / water and a few also have sewer hookup. The sites are pretty basic concrete slab and canopy with a picnic table underneath. There are also fire pits on each siite. The bathhouse in the campground is well maintained and usually always clean. The showers are above par when it comes to State Parks. The park itself is usually clean of trash except on the shore of the lake. This is my only complaint when we have gone fishing on the shore of the lake there is a lot of trash. Overall good value for camping at a state park.

Lush RV camping right on the lake. Good shower/changing rooms with plenty of hooks. We were in 112. Fun fishing trails along the shore. The dog loved then. But, fishermen dont pick up after themselves. We just returned in January 2023. We were in 108, but 112 is a drive-through and it has the best entrance to the lake trail. I want to address the ENTRANCES. The back entrance on the east side is where Google maps will try to bring you. It is not always open. The main west entrance you can only enter from the south, and you can only leave turning to the north. We found a nice turnaround once we left. Just north a short bit is a small mall with Dress Barn. If you go in the second entrance, the north entrance, you can make a quick loop and come out the main entrance at the traffic light and then go south.
