Google Maps took us to the middle of the Chacón Creek bike trail to an entrance to the park that was not very inviting: no clear signage, no parking lot but a vacant lot where the streets ended. We only had a cement walkway that went in through many trees. The trail was long and scenic, and we only road on the southern trail (that ends at the river bank) and back to our starting point at the middle. Next time well ride the northern trail. The trail connects with other parks along the way with better obvious entry points and parking lot area.

Nice place to walk. But there is a lack of surveillance in the park

Awesome ride!! Lots of different landscapes to explore. Go from wide open spaces to tree lined paths to Chacon s own mini cliff sides. Wildlife in abundance. Already have encountered deer, fox, hawks, buzzards, numerous species of birds and insects. If you re lucky, you might get a glimpse of the different fish in the creek. Some very ideal spots for birdwatching too. Plenty of shady spots to rest and some parks with kids play areas and water fountains. Be sure to follow the trail on your map app because some trails have an end but if you go a bit further, you pick up a new trail. This is not a very popular path so it s a quiet journey. ENJOY!!!
