My mom is from Laredo and we were visiting for the weekend... but anyway we found great restaurant to where we are staying .... The food is simple and perfect! Esmeralda has a joyful personality! You wont be disappointed breakfast or lunch I promise!

Here by recommendation of a friend and I must say, I am delighted. I ordered the Queso en Salsa plate with papas guisadas, flour tortillas and a coffee. The queso was so tasty! Perfect with their salsa roja. The tortillas here are HUGE! So be mindful when ordering tacos. However the papa gusada was not my fave, had a funky flavor to it that was not to my liking. Nonetheless, you can opt for having the papas cooked a different manner so that s awesome! I truly recommend this place for breakfast/lunch. :)

Two stars just for the taste & quality of food. But the price went up and the food amount went down. I understand cost are going up. But when they jack up the price and lower food. That s double dipping. $5.99 for a huevo a la mexicana which didn t even fill the tortilla. I m all for supporting small businesses. But not when they go greedy. They just did the same as Sam s Club. Price when up & product amount went down

The food was tasty, The staff were very attentive. I would definitely go back but would opt for regular tacos. Parking: Parking was a bit tight and had to reverse out on a busy street.

I remember years ago this restaurant had awesome guisado tacos and ternera tacos...these days their guisado is dry and tasteless...their ternera tacos are all lettuce and barely any ternera..however their prices have shot up through the roof ...these days i stay away from there.

Food is good, very welcoming. Ordered a Barbacoa taco and a bean and cheese with bacon and coffee. It was separated in one huge tortilla. Tortilla definitely homemade. Price was a bit high $16. Parking is horrible.

This restaurant is located near the place we were staying. So it was convenient. We ordered one barbacoa taco & it was served on a huge flour tortilla. We didnt expect it to be so large but thats probably why it was $8.00. It was definitely enough to share & filled us up. So we didnt order anything else but coffee & water. I dont think well come back again because their tacos r too large. We prefer to try a variety of tacos but we were unable to do that because the one large taco was just too filling.
