Ive been trying alot of restaurants in Laredo since I work here temporary. This is the first one that I would return to. The food is very tasty, chili sauce are great, service is great as well. The kicker, home made corn tortillas.

Terrible service!! I ordered 3 gorditas, 2 of picadillo and one of GUISADO chicharron and they gave me dry chicharron. The reason or excuse that the manager mentioned was that if they prepared it for me with stewed chicharron it would be soaked. So she sold it to me as she wanted and not as I asked for it and I insisted that if it was soaked it was my problem. I ordered it with stewed pork rinds and if she has to charge me more, she should charge me but she insisted that the gorditas dont make them with pork rinds. guisado, and I have already bought there many times. This person had never been there, apparently she worked during the day and not at night when I bought and since I insisted that she cannot sell me something that I did not ask for, she told me that they would deny me the service. Woow!!

I was craving caldo and ordered caldito de pollo to go. I was about 10 min away and food was ready by the time I arrived! It was soo good and I had the entire 32 ounces even though I was full at about 1/2 through it had garbanzos and white rice at the bottom and came with cebolla and cilantro picado on the side with really good/super hot home made tortillas de maíz. It also had 2 lime pieces that made everything taste amazing . Great food, ready quickly, and only cost a total of about $15 with a 3% credit card fee and a 15% tip added on there. Will definitely come back for the caldo!

Arrived there 03/21/24 to eat lunch with my wife for the first time. When looking thru the menu, there were no prices on the menu at all for any plates, tacos or beverages sold there. Spoke to the waitress about that and she said most plates are around $12 to $13 dollars on the average. Never told us the cost for drinks. I ordered a bistek plate without knowing for sure the cost to it. I also asked the waitress what kind of beef meat was in the bistek plate and she said she did not know. When I got the bistek plate, i realized that the meat was not beef but, pork meat. When a restaurant advertises bistek it is advertising beef meat of sorts. I also asked if they had chip and salsa for us to eat as we waited, and the waitress said yes but, it never arrived at our table. My wife ordered a Gorditas plate without knowing the cost to her meal, as well. The peccadillo gordita had a funny smell and she did not eat it. The other two gorditas were made with bean and cheese and nopalitos and cheese. Those two she ate but they lacked a good taste. All and all, we will not be going there at all. I truely hope that the business becomes successful but, for me, it had a bad start.

Personally, it is a place that from the moment you enter you feel calm because of the music they have and give. If you live in Laredo or pass through here to go to San Antonio or Houston or any other place in Texas, I 100% recommend Rincón Oaxaqueño. The food, the atmosphere, the music and the treatment of the people who serve you is excellent. I recommend the huitlacoche, tinga and desebrada quesadillas. WOW Delicious!!!

One of the best places to try real mexican food, specifically from Oaxaca state which is one of the most richest ones gastronomically and culturally speaking. All dishes include a soup of cortesy. We tried the Tlayuda which is like a pizza, it contains beans, vegetables and a meat of choice; highly recommended. Also the cafe de olla is delicious. Depending on the day, they have a special dish. Prices are accessible. Now they accept cards which is amazing since previously they used to accept only cash. Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options like potato tacos, tlacoyos and quesadillas, some of the vegetarian dishes can be turned vegan just ask to remove cream and cheese.
