I can t recommend KuGar Taekwondo highly enough! Both of my sons are students here, and they absolutely love it. The instructors - Mr. Manolo, Mr. Angelo, and Ms. Terry - are incredibly skilled, patient, and dedicated to each student s progress. They not only teach taekwondo techniques but also instill valuable life skills, such as leadership and confidence. Since joining, my sons have shown remarkable growth in their leadership abilities. They are more confident in their decisions and take initiative both at home and in school. The school s emphasis on discipline and respect has helped them develop into more responsible and respectful individuals. The classes are well-structured, engaging, and suitable for all ages and skill levels. The positive and supportive atmosphere makes every session enjoyable for them. My son and I both love this place, Ms Terry is a true wonder in how she communicates with the kids and parents. Within my sons first visit his behavior and attitude are both improved. For the trial class my son was very reluctant and was saying how he was only doing it to prove that he wasnt going to like it. At the end of that very same class he asked me when I was bringing him back. THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!!!

I highly recommend Kugar TaeKwonDo 100% . My daughter Galilea was very, very shy, would not participate in anything that had to deal with people , even taekwondo classes. WAS shy because now she IS constantly talking about taekwondo and how she loves it. She participates in extra curricular activities at school like volleyball and also was one of the presenters in one of her taekwondo classes. Kugar Taekwondo has taught her determination, she now has confidence in herself and disciple is a plus . I am so happy in what she is capable of doing. Turning 40 in the near future, I decided to challenge myself mentally and physically and try something new. I joined the adult evening class back in October and walking in on my first day was freighting I did not know one thing about TaeKwonDo and even putting on the uniform and looking at myself in a mirror was difficult. KuGar is a great place to practice Tae Keon Do. Master Jesse pushes you hard to improve your physical conditioning and form. It s a great workout and I leave every day feeling like it was time well spent. You can tell Master Jesse is passionate about what he does. The environment is very supportive and positive and it was very easy to come back to Tae Kwon Do after a 15 year break from when I had initially learned in a different city. 5 stars by all means. Skeptical by the idea of whether or not this place was effective, in the end it became clear. For, in the coming months of working and eventually training here i not only acknowledge the instructors but became fond of this art. Learning Tai Kwon Do in it of itself was a treat, but to be treated with idept analysis in fights and constant challeges, that was a full course meal. One i would not hesistate to chow down. That said, Kugar TKD isnt exept from your judgement, just come and see what i have seen. In short, here you will find courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. My coach > your coach. I trained at other places and I can tell you that these guys are the best and it s not close. We get treated well and we work HARD. There s no doubt that my national championship was from how hard we got worked and how great it is to be part of a team. KuGar ROCKS!!!

I started training here in May and I ve learned so much. I went to my first tournament and beat a student from Laredo so badly that my instructor asked me to take it easy on him. Master Kuhns asked me to work on new material to show respect to other person. He teaches us about the tenants of TKD and I really believe he s the best coach in Laredo and the best martial artist too!

I just transfer to Kugar a couple of months ago from a different academy but I can honestly say Kugar is the place where I belong. At my old academy I always felt like there was something missing but once I went to Kugar that feeling went away. My first day through those doors they took me in with open arms. Amazing experience! My daughter initially joined as an after school activity when the traditional class was offered at her school. As her confidence grew, we signed her up at the KuGar school, where she continued on to the KuGar fight team. Great family experience, we travel as friends and family. Master Jesse and Master Clarissa are extraordinary instructors in the sport and life experience. Discipline, respect and courage are traits taught in this school. Recommend KuGar to everyone from children to adults.

Kugar TaeKwonDo has been the best place I could find for my son to learn and become passionate about this sport, thanks to teacher Jesse who teaches excellent classes and motivates the children to be better both in this sport and in their academic level. Not to mention that the afterschool program they have is the best thing that could have happened to me, since they go to pick up my child from his school, he does his homework and receives his TKD class and most importantly, my child is happy in this place.
