They shrunk the size of the sub. About half the size with even less filling, so now you have a considerably smaller sandwich overall that is mostly bread. Also the bun wasnt heated at all. Firehouse has definitely gone down hill.

This has to be the dirtiest and mist organized Firehouse I have seen. Their work area was dirty, tables were dirty and the cooling fridge was nasty. And this is what I saw for to go order... I didnt even get a soda cause if everything was that dirty u think they clean there soda machines properly. Arbor trail in Austin is so different. I was in the restaurant and a man walked in to pick up his sandwiches and had a receipt and a confirmation that his food was ready for pickup. Apparently his food was not available and would not give him his food because of a computer glitch and manager was there to speak to this man only available on phone by employee and but wanted this customer to pay again and they would try to reimburse . Working for customer service The restaurant should of made his food and deal with the loss with corporate if there was a glitch with IT . I saw this gentleman receipt and he Did pay for 7 sandwiches and these sandwiches are not cheap. Manager should be present during business hours.

Fresh ingredients and they donate to the fire department! Vegetarian options: They do offer fresh ingredients for a vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: They do add or replace out what you want in a sandwich or salad. Parking: Open spaces in a strip mall. Good subs for a decent price. Extremely busy location. The staff is always busy and very courteous, but it seems like they are always understaffed during typical lunch hours. I usually try to order ahead, but if youre eating inside, plan on 30-45 min wait. Again, the staff here do a fantastic job holding it together when they have a lunch line of crazy-in-a-rush customers.

While we appreciate restaurants and their employees doing service to the community by being open during a pandemic, we expect them to still uphold the minimum level of service and quality that the restaurant offers. I will never eat a Firehouse again. My husband waited for 20 minutes inside as the only customer while the staff fulfilled online orders. Once we got our food, I couldn t believe what I saw. The meat of my beef and cheddar sandwich had fat all over it which I had to cut off and was very unappetizing. There was barbecue sauce on the outside of the box. It made me wonder about their sanitary standards. Not what you want to think about before eating. It was clear that no care or attention was taken while making our food. It was disgusting. We are so disappointed. There are literally hundreds of restaurants to choose from, and if yours get chosen, we expect our food to be made as it is offered and properly.

I have been going to this location for years, and up until now, the food and service have always been excellent. Sandwiches are delicious. I ordered soup and salad tonight. The soup was very good, but big mistake on ordering the salad. There was a lot of rusty lettuce. I get it that they are made in advance, but the salads at Wendys are better than here. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Placed my order at 1:04pm and was told it would be 10 minutes. Received my sandwich 19 minutes later at 1:23pm but my soup was missing. I was then told it would take another 3 minutes for my small cup of potato soup. During my visit, there were 8 other customers impatiently waiting for their food. The reason? One of them had an order of 4 large bags of sandwiches plus 4 other bags of sides plus drinks. The staff made all other customers wait so this incredibly selfish individual could get her large order of food. After that customer left, the next customer to get her food commented that she waited for an hour. She walked out the door and the staff complained that she should know better than or expect quick service at lunch time. As I was eating my food, a family behind me finally got their food and the wife/mother told the staff that her sandwich was missing ingredients that she asked for. The staff member went back and forth with her about it then finally asked her for a receipt. Are you kidding me? All she wanted was toppings for her sandwich and they humiliated her in front of everyone. The soup is watery/bland, the sandwich is mediocre and the location is filthy. My $14 dollar lunch was not worth $5 dollars.

My original review was from 4 years ago. Loved this place back in the day. Service was awesome, delicious sandwiches and consistent..at some point over the years it closed for a short period the reopened but they were not the same. This past weekend decided to give it another try. While our sandwiches were good, the mac n cheese was terrible, completely soup like and no bread crumbs, the macaronis were hard and despite all the soupy cheese it was flavorless. Not even the cat (who is a huge cheese lover) wanted to eat it.

My first time at Firehouse subs and I wasnt impressed. The bread was meh and the sandwhich overall just tasted a little bland. My girlfriend got the tunafish and there wasnt a very good portion on her sandwich. The mac and cheese again was just bland, even after adding jalapeños to it, and almost soggy if that makes sense. Overall I would rather have most of the other sandwich chains over firehouse.

I love this location; the staff is always super friendly and courteous. My wife and I were craving a sandwich, but we looked at the time, and It was 10 minutes till closing. Thinking they would turn my wife away, I started looking at other restaurants around. Well, they took our order, no problem. Weve been to other sandwich places, which shall remain nameless, and have found that even 20 minutes before closing, everything has been put up, and we were told that it was part of their closing routine.
