Weather its stopping in for a quick happy hour snack or indulging on a chicken fried steak I always find it back at Willies. I enjoy the speedy, friendly service I always receive from the gentleman Kelly hes always engaging in conversation from football to Nascar. Especially seems to be helpful when Im there with my 4 children and never gets overwhelmed even at times I know I would.

I had visited here this week in the afternoon there was barely anyone and I waited for service for like 36 minutes, when my food arrived it was very cold and there was a hair on it , I spoke to the manager and she first refused to switch out my plate , then agreed to get me a new plate but with rude and nasty attitude. I came from Georgia to try it out and I m very disappointed.

I will make it simple. Ordered 1 lg crab. Glass of water. Sat down at the table and took a sip, the glass was dirty like it had been quickly sprayed off and set back out. Crab came, always 2 bowls. Lifted first bowl for trash and low and behold, dirty dish, looked as if the trash was raked out leaving a smelly nasty mess. It goes on, but thats the worst of in.

I was served a burger that had metal in the burger, they happily did not charge me for the meal (wow thanks) and then no one ever called or returned calls from this store or corporate. I broke a tooth biting into the burger, and they sent an insurance company to talk to me and then denied the claim and told me I have to talk to their vendor whom I cannot reach I will never eat here again, even though I loved eating here weekly before this incident

If I could I leave a ZERO STAR REVIEW. In a heartbeat I would. I m literally in the parking lot to write this review. So to start, it was my first time here. The food was either tasteless or way over salted. I only ate 1 filet of fish and did not touch my sides. The other plates order same situation 1 item was eaten and right away we knew the food was GARBAGE, the cheese was also like water just runny and messy with no imagination to flavor or seasoning, at the end I was charged $40 and did not leave with anything. We ate in total 1 filet of fish, 3/4 of a taco, and a spoon of Rice. I urge anyone looking for a good place to eat to keep driving DO NOT EAT HERE. WASTE OF MONEY!

Food was ok. but because of the service from the counter, to the table, to the end made things a bit unenjoyable. If I were not part of a party I would have just left. PS. Check your receipt well. MgrReply: thank you for the quick response. while I feel it probably was a training issue, its just frustrating that 3 (possibly 4) people said they would fix it but didnt. Besides getting the wrong gravy after 3 tries we also still got charged for the onion rings that was 1. a surprise charge because we asked if they were extra and he said no 2. told us to have table staff remove which she said she would no problem but there must have been a problem because 3. when we got the ticket it was still there. This combined with the ordering and gravy fiasco just left us in an eyeroll when thinking about going here again or being asked about the place. I believe well pass for now. I do know its hard to find good help and do wish you the best.

Their baked potatoes and salads are so good! We have been here or ordered takeout several times now. The food is always good, with the exception of our latest order. They gave my husband the wrong wings or messed up that part of the order. I still gave 5 stars because the manager was so apologetic and offered to give us a refund! Even though there was a mistake and it was an inconvenience, I highly appreciate the great customer service! Sometimes that feels rare these days. Needless to say, we ll be back! When we have eaten here before the food was excellent. Today I ordered the chicken fried steak like usual. Today the steak was so tough I couldnt eat it. The sweet potato fries were burnt and very hard. I sent my plate back. I received another plate steak was a little better but still tough sweet potato fries were not burnt but tough liked being cooked in the microwave. 1st time, good atmosphere. We ordered a patty melt with a caesar salad, a catfish dinner and a bacon cheese burger with onion rings. We also ordered the appetizer of fried onion chips and mushrooms. The appetizer was tasty. The patty melt was just ok. There were very few onions, the burger was overcooked, and the bread was dry. The salad was good but the dressing was light. Not real tasty. The fish was good but the fish was on top of the fries so they were limp. The cheeseburger was ok. Prices were fair. There are better places for a great hamburger. The fish and onion rings were ok. Clear Springs Restaurant is par superior for fish and onion rings. Overall, we probably wont be going back.

When cooking fried foods for carry out, if the food is fried a little extra crispy it s better when it reaches home. Ordered chicken fried steak and fried pickles today. Asked for pickles to be fried extra crisp, they were not; by the time I got them home (15 minute drive+time to get in the door and serve) they were soggy and tasteless, actually they tasted like the oil soaked paper that lined the to-go box. Chicken fried steak also was nothing to write home about, pretty much the same flavor as pickles old oil. This was a first time visit and sadly will probably be the last. Due to physical limitations of my husband s, dining in is a real challenge so we rely on good carry out when wanting to treat ourselves.

I ordered the chicken tenders with a hot sauce on them they came out lukewarm. I dont usually send food back or say anything but for fresh food you kind of expect it to be hot. So the waitress took them back the new set came back the same as it theyd just been sitting under the heat lamp or something. My kids fries werent hot either. The quality has gone down at Willies. Wheelchair accessibility: It does have wheelchair spots to park but every time I have came there to eat it is hard to get a spot because they are usually all filled. Food was great and on the big size and our waiter (Lando) was great. Just two complaints: Flys. And as soon as you come in you wait in a line. Yes, you don t sit down and look over the menu. You have to do it right then and there. You feel rushed like you re at a fast food restaurant. And the registers are close together so you are being squeezed together with other customers. First time diner. Wanted to visit the New Braunfels area location for years, but never convenient for me while traveling. This new Kyle location is a 10 minute drive from my home. Cant say I wasnt impressed in every way. I have been I the restaurant business for over 20 years and actually learned a thing or two from my visit. Not only was the food spectacular, but, more amazing was the efficiency of the business. At first glance, it may be baffling to the new customer. Soon you get the certainty that they have a well-oiled machine at work. You place your order at the counter and are given a receipt and number on a table tent. You seat yourself. Soon you are greeted by a server, and within a few short minutes, a piping hot plate, or very chilled salad plate comes out from a food runner (expo). You pay your server at the end of dining. The flow of customers coming in and out is therefore simultaneous and in fluid motion. I had fried catfish and shrimp, and my wife had grilled shrimp. You get drinks at the counter upon your order, or you can seat at the large bar with many screens for sports etc. Great place to visit for wings and apps and bevs. Again. Super efficient and on point. Cant wait to try the entire menu. That will take some time, considering it is quite large, and everything looks incredible.

Dont like the concept at all. After working 50+ hours a week the last thing I want to do is order in line like a fast food restaurant. I want to sit, have a server, and enjoy my meal and atmosphere. Here you have to order your app and food all at once or get back in line when you want to order again. We will not be back unless they allow servers. Not our style.

Whether you want a juicy burger or some yummy seafood Willies has not disappointed my girlfriend and I once, well except that one time they were out of snow crab but thats nothing within their control. We always leave with our taste buds satisfied and our bellies full, at a price that usually comes out the same or less than us getting a meal at McDonalds which couldnt even hold a match stick in a winter wind to the food quality at Willies. Keep it up!

1st time. Visiting Austin area and thought this looked interesting. Ordered the catfish and shrimp combo. Really somewhat surprised by just how good they both were. Catfish was tender and lightly battered, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked. By suggestion, also had the onion rings. Large and crispy. Would definitely recommend.

We used to be regulars here, even after a bad experience with some shrimp we assumed was just a fluke. But after our last visit, were really disappointed and wont be coming back. We want to let other guests know that one of the employees, David, took my husbands sunglasses. We were the only ones left in the patio area on a Sunday night when they were closing, and my husband accidentally left his shades behind. When we called the next day, the manager said they werent found. We understand not everyone returns sunglasses, but it was disheartening that they didnt even bother to check with David. Weve filed a police report and they will be reviewing the security footage. Its a shame things turned out this way. Wed suggest avoiding this place if you value honest service.

We actually sat at the bar which had great and prompt service. Their beer had a fair price on it. Atmosphere was great and there s plenty of televisions. There was one person requesting another channel and they seem to please that particular person I ordered their icehouse burger, and my son ordered the Seafood combo. Lots of food.

Second time here after moving to this area. Ordered the smash burger tacos both times. Dry and over cook both times. Would go to the location at my previous address, much better quality. They did redo it and make it better but shouldnt have had to do that in the first place.

New to the area and stopped by for lunch. We had the crablegs and fried catfish. The fish was fresh and delicious. The crablegs were ok. A little too spicy for my liking, and they were a tad overcooked. The strawberry diquari was delicious as well. Overall, I would go back, maybe just suggest they dont cook the crablegs as long. Also, Ill add our waiter was awesome and our service was great.
