Sweet and sour chicken is popcorn chicken, a third of the portion was inedible, just battered chicken the size of a pea, it filled my stomach but its just pure batter. White rice is low quality instant rice, soy sauce packets are the worst brand, the ones with a panda on it. Basically anything here is 3 dollars overpriced for killeen, if you go to Manor Texas try out sweet and sour chicken at pho please restaurant and tell me Peking is doing a good job Just make your chicken cutlets bigger where each bite has chicken in it and throw away the battered popcorn nothings

We are at Peking and was thoroughly impressed. The General Tsos chicken was a perfect balance of crispy and saucy with a delightful kick. The Orange Chicken crispy and hot and offered a refreshing citrus tang that was both sweet and savory. The Sesame Chicken was tender, crispy, hot and flavorful, with just the right amount of sweetness and crunch. Overall, a fantastic experience with consistently excellent dishes. Five stars. All the chicken was really crispy and hot.

The customer service is amazing a very busy location but very welcoming. The bulgogi was way different from what I had in Afghanistan. It had a lot more spice than I would like but I enjoyed as much of the lunch portion as I could. The rainbow rice was a huge portion quite delicious the shrimp were the winners. The rice becomes really hard as if it is undercooked. Nobody likes undercooked rice. I ll try something different maybe.

Excellent greeting when I walked in the door! The lady who worked there was nice. She spoke immediately and gave a nice smile. The inside was very clean and efficient. I do hate its small in the inside and if you had guest there is little seating. I was definitely a little curious to try. I wasn t to worried and notice the sign said now open. So you got to work with what you got Considering this was my second time eating at Chinese place in Killeen, the lady was very patient. She allowed me time to look and make my call to my wife and view out our option s before placing in the order. We seen other reviews and this place was by far in good review stand-point than the other places. She didn t rush me not one bit. I ordered the sesame chicken and steamed rice, rainbow noodles and the chicken wings , Crab Rangoon. The chicken was a little up -setting. Was looking forward to the flavor and it was missing something. My wife actually likes the wings. We were disappointed in the Crab Rangoons. That s always our favorite but these came in like a crunchy roll then the regular way. I personally love the steam rice with the duck sauce. That was good. Overall I wouldn t say as of right now I will be back. I think it will be a long while from now. I do love the service and the lady was phenomenal. If you want to try, and see for yourself, I encourage you to go. It was still a good and quick experience. Everything was bagged up and all was packaged nicely. I didn t have to double back and say I forgot something. So, huge kudos and hope that as time progresses the food gets adjusted.

I ordered rainbow rice, orange chicken, beef and broccoli, and egg rolls for delivery. Delivery was fast and the gentleman was nice. The meats were good and flavorful but the rice was hard and had no flavor. The egg rolls were nothing but meat, which maybe thats how they make them but Im use to some veggies in the rolls... Not too impressed with the food overall.

The people who work there are really nice, the place is very clean, and prices are not bad. Unfortunately the food was not very good. I ordered general tsos chicken, but got sweet and sour chicken with general tsos sauce on it. The rice was also very dry. I understand every restaurant does their tsos a bit differently, but this wasnt even close.

During my time in town, I accompanied a client to view some properties. For lunch, we decided to try out Peking To Go Restaurant. Initially, we werent sure if it was only for takeout, but the cashier informed us that we could dine in as well. The place was cozy, accommodating around 15-20 people. Curious about their vegetarian options, we asked the cashier for recommendations, and she mentioned their homemade noodles. The vegetarian noodles turned out to be exceptionally delicious, with a delightful hint of sweetness that complemented the fresh vegetables perfectly. The texture of the noodles was also impressive. The portion size was generous, far more than one person could finish. I only managed to eat about a third of the plate. Although I didnt try anything else, Im definitely looking forward to returning for another visit. I provided a 4-star rating because I havent had the opportunity to sample other menu items, and the restaurants location is relatively compact. However, I must mention that the restaurant was exceptionally clean and had a warm and inviting atmosphere. The customer service was great as well. Vegetarian options: Try the vegetarian noodles!

Orange chicken was disgusting just ate here 1/19/23. Was over cooked and taste like oil, i mean the chicken was extremely fried, every bite was just 99% breading and 1% chicken. First time I ordered, I thought the price was kind of high. Then I opened the box, and man, they dont play around. You get what you pay for and more. The service I ordered through did not have a place for extra rice, but they were able to help out not problem. Food was hot and flavorful, which my kids devoured. We have stopped by and order take-out as well, same experience. My only gripe is the hours, as sometime I get the craving and they arent open. Sorry, no photos, ate it all before I thought about taking the time to snap a pic.

I got General Tso chicken and it was good, the rice that came with it was a little boring, lunch portion was a little hefty if you are trying to eat healthy or counting calories, customer service and wait time were both good. Everything was good, nothing great, no wow factor. Only complaint I guess would be that the price is a little high, I mean all I got was the chicken and 2 egg rolls with a tea and it was almost 20 bucks. Im used to paying 10-15 for lunch for just me so other than that it was good.

Reviewing referrals against my better judgment I was lured in. The food is frozen from bags as is all else on menu at Peking. Since when is zucchini in bulgogi? Perhaps I should say bulgogi watered down zucchini soup. The litmus test was simply order what I was familiar with, that familiarity now being the level of poor quality of food there is exactly the level as portrayed in four star negligent reviews from poor taste of what I can only imagine considered from those reviewers starving perspective. Trust enough to say, the old adage, if it s in a gas station, beware. Good advice is here to cheer you on, with no further inconvenience that a go to the restaurant at the northwest quadrant of hwy 195 and 190. Absolutely the finest Chinese establishment in this town which now is take-out you ll never regret. You ll know your there when you see the corner WHO-MAN for a play in words of seriously good taste anyway you take it. You won t be sorry less Peking lured. Good day.

Everything sweet is not good. I ordered korean hot wings and boy i was disappointed. It was so freaking sweet, felt like i was eating a candy with meat inside. And thats gross. I ordered chicken fried rice and they gave me chicken with plain yellow rice. There was an awful lot of chicken which was not stirred with rice like it should be. They UNDERcooked it separately and threw them on top of the rice. I had to throw it all away because the food was made with so much negligence i cannot even describe.

We finally tried Peking restaurant the other night. We were surprised by what we thought was fabulous General Chicken. Their Orange Chicken was good along with the Sweet and Sour Chicken and Chicken Chow Mien. Their fried rice that comes with each entree was odd. We couldn t figure out what it was supposed to be. The taste of the rice was bland but not bad and it was moist. It looked like maybe saffron rice, but not sure. Everything was hot and fresh. All in all we will be back, just not for rice!

I had been craving egg foo young for a long time. Had trouble finding a restaurant that made it near Killeen. Found out Taiwan Dragon has it. We ordered shrimp egg foo young and moo shu vegetables. We went there on Christmas day. It was the first time we had gone there because had been painting our house the whole day so we were too tired to cook anything. When we arrived there, several people were already inside waiting for their food. The lady apologized to us for the long wait because she was so busy running back and forth preparing orders and bringing more food from the back. From what we could see, there was just the cook and the lady up front working so it was understandable that there was a wait. When we ordered and received our food, it was rung up at reasonable price being $30 for four combos. She once again apologized for our wait and wished us a merry Christmas. We thanked her and went home with our food. We all had ordered orange chicken and highly savored and enjoyed our meals. It was a very satisfying meal.

I bought food from here today because of the high reviews. I got chicken fried rice,potstickers and famous wings. Food was hot and the lady I spoke to was friendly however the food was horrid. Famous wings half of it wasn t actually wings and were dried/overcooked. Potstickers were bland,oily and soggy. Fried rice the chicken smelled funny and was completely under seasoned. I barely ate any of the food and I can t believe I spent over 30 dollars on such bad food.

I have been here a couple of times now. My favorite place for orange chicken & Korean bbq. They fry the orange chicken and its crispy gold. Fried rice is always great too & each time Im in there they have made it fresh for me. 9/11/20 *EDIT* PEKING RESTAURANT IS OPEN AGAIN!!! My husband and I missed this restaurant so much while it was closed during quarantine! We are overjoyed that they are open again; the owners are so sweet, personable, AND they have the BEST Chinese food in town! If youre craving QUALITY Chinese food, this is the place to go. :) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This restaurant really is a hidden gem. Moving from CA, I was pretty sad about leaving behind so many delicious Asian restaurants. However, we were craving Chinese/Korean food fusion so we decided to give this place a try... and we are in LOVE! All the entrees that we ordered from here, including jjajangmyun (black bean noodles), jjampong (spicy seafood noodle soup), orange chicken, etc. were incredibly delicious. To my surprise, their jjajangmyun is better than many of the ones I tried in CA! And to top it off, the owners of this restaurant and their daughter are incredibly sweet. Give this place a try!

I found this place which is Chinese and Korean - it s small, and family run - husband cooks and wife covers the restaurant. She is very helpful in describing the Korean meals. My friend had the jalapeño chicken and asked for it really hot - he thought it was outstanding! I had a Korean dish - 0 on the menu I believe which was also delicious - I just like my food spicy hot but she gave me crushed red pepper and sriracha to use. The atmosphere was nice, and they didn t rush you. All in all a very nice experience!

Its a small, clean place. The person at the counter was super friendly. I read a review on Yelp that the flavors were bland and they were. The noodles needed a pinch of salt. My soup broth was lacking too. It just needed a little more something. Maybe fish sauce, something was needed to give it depth of flavor. I am just visiting so I probably wont be back. If I were a local, I would probably try it again and order something different.

Be aware that you will be charged 4% surcharge if you use credit card. I ordered 2 meals, $12.99 each and waters. The total was $31.50. When I questioned about the charge to the owner, she pointed the paper sign about handwritten 4% charge on credit card transaction and pointed the fridge that was written $1 on the water bottles. Free water is not an option or available. First of all this is not Korean Restaurant. I rather say Chinese restaurant. The food of Jamppong and Sweet/Sour Pork were not worth paying $12.99.

Theres no air conditioning which made it 10x miserable. I came at a bad time because it looked like the food was sitting out for some time. It was a little pricey for the quality of food. I probably wont come back but Im glad I got to at least try it. I think they have a drive thru which is a plus for some.

They use buffet pan for most dishes without covers, flies were eating the food. So disgusting!! New location is better than before, but the food quality is worse than before since it dries up in the pan, but the price is reasonable. I have to get the expensive food that needs to be cooked after order if I dont want to eat what flies have been eating. Im so sad to let them go because they were my favorite Chinese style Korean food place before they changed everything. Ill go back if they find a solution not to share their food with flies.

What the Pek happened?! Waited months for the move just to be disappointed twice. This use to be cooked fresh when ordered , sadly soggy and old. Tried twice got sick both times. The fried rice I use to love was horrible and tasted like it had been left out all day. Sesame chicken was no longer the crunchy treat I came to love. I dont know why you would make soupy watery vegetables. How dare cold wet noodles be placed next to my fried rice which turned to soup. Stop with the buffet warm pans! It ruined good food. I use to love this place now Im in search looking for a replacement for my chineese craving . This place went down fast!@ so sad

Opened the car door to a wonderful scent and followed it inside. All the trays looked fresh tasty. Kungpow chicken with homemade noodles, orange chicken with fried rice both amazing. Oh lord the egg rolls are to die for made from scratch and to order. Cant wait to go back.

So ate here the other day me and my family. Spent roughly 62 dollars. After about to leave notice did not recieve extra sweet and sour sauce or extra duck sauce. Then asked for extra and the lady said I wasnt able to get extra. I was only allowed what was given to me. If Im a paying customer it shouldnt matter how much I ask for, especially when Im paying a decent amount of money for multiple meals. Food was pretty decent though.

Update: Delivers through wedeliverkilleen company. New location! It is across the HEB on West Stan Schlueter at exxon gas station. They started to serve combo specials and also delivers! They do have a drive through window but not sure if it is being used.. Food is always tasty as well :) Mon-Sat: 11:00 - 20:30 Sun Closed. Con: If I have to list one it would be having limited seating and it can get crowded easily for people to order food.

I have been to this restaurant twice and both times I have had excellent service and excellent food. This restaurant has an extensive menu for breakfast that will have something for everyone. Dont want breakfast? They also have a lunch menu. I havent tried it, but I suspect the food is just as good. I cant say enough good things about the service here. It is truly outstanding. I highly recommend giving this place a visit.

We ate here based on Yelp reviews and were not disappointed. The place is small, very clean and the food was fresh and delicious. We went at about 7:45 not knowing that they closed at 8, but they did not rush us at all. The food is spicy, which we loved, but if you like less spicy, let them know, they will make it perfect for you! I have been here three times and have thoroughly enjoyed everything I have ordered. Because they make their own noodles everything taste fresh. My favorite was the spicy seafood noodles until I tried the black bean noodles. The gyozas are also pretty incredible.

Excellent authentic Korean food. We started out with the Yakimandu, it was pan fried and delicious. My mom got Mongolian Beef and I got Beef Bulgogi, highly recommended on both. Restaurant was clean and the staff is fast and friendly. This is a great little place serving yummy Asian food. It is clean and pleasant. It is a local place making every attempt to please their customers. Plates were full of delicious food.

Excellent little mom-and-pop place in downtown Killeen. Small but everything is homemade and excellent food. We didnt order off the menu we just asked the lady to make us something and we got dishes with fresh vegetables, homemade rice noodles, Beef Pork and shrimp, in an amazing brown sauce. It was worth our 45-minute drive to get here and we will definitely be back.
