I always love going to Maxs, they have the best staff there. They are always very friendly and serve up the best food and drinks. This place has a great vibe. As a date spot its somehow it feels like the room is spinning and its just you two. As a group hangout it feels like you rented out the whole joint for a private party. Great ambiance both indoor and outdoor! Stage for live music. One day I hope to gig here!! The service is great. Fast and attentive. From their burgers and nachos to their sweet and spicy sweet potato fries the menu has more that enough options to satiate most any appetite. Beer is always cold. The owner is super respectable. Recently sold a car to a friend of hers. Kind, down to earth, open communication, direct, and a pleasure to do business with. Nice little find on the side of the highway; perfect place to get a cold beer and some delicious one would expect at a bar. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The fries had a really nice texture and great seasoning. The burger was just what I needed after a long day on the river; very juicy and made with love. Portions are of very good value. I went on a Monday, but looks like it could have a pretty good weekend atmosphere.

The food here is surprisingly good for bar food. I have never been here in the evening so I cant speak to bar aspect of Maxs but I have stopped in for lunch several times and am always surprised with the kitchen quality. As a heads up they do charge a 5ish% extra when you use a credit card. So bring cash to save. Otherwise, its a great place.

We are in the area for the winter months. We really enjoy experiencing everything local - stores, pubs, restaurants...you get the picture. We have passed by Maxs Roadhouse quite a few times and decided yesterday was the day to stop by and have an early dinner. Online reviews were mixed with good and not-so-good, but the shining reviews helped us choose. And we are so glad we ignored the negative ones! We were immediately greeted and seated ourselves on the bar side when we arrived early around 4:30pm. The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas which was a treat. Music was playing but it was at a decent level and had a good playlist. My husband had an IPA with a Roadhouse Cheeseburger with Fries and I ordered the Hill Country Margarita and the Beef Tacos (2 large ones.) The server was attentive, prompt to respond, and just a delight to meet. The drinks and food were delicious, too. In fact, we had so much food we took some of it with us when we left. Thank you, Maxs Roadhouse, for a wonderful dinner experience!

Went here last night for my sisters bachelorette party it was a group of 9 of us, a lot of our first times there & not long after we got our food A man (another customer) tried to start a fight with my sisters fiancé while they were playing pool & I being Sober tried to ask the man to calm down stating we are out for my sisters bachelorette party and we are not looking for trouble, he continued to yell and get in my face and didn t calm down at all when approached by a lady, then to my surprise the owner was there and gets involved and ended up asking us to leave with out so much of a offer to comp any food or drinks for the unfortunate experience we had that ruined our night due to one man causing a scene and this was at 10pm none of us in my group were drunk or being disrespectful just stopped in for food and pool before heading out for the night. Needless to say I felt it was wrong to put us out a whole party who hadn t even finished the food or drinks we ordered let alone still had to pay for while they made my sister and her fiancé wait outside. The owner could have easily asked that man to leave gave us some food or drinks on the house and let us continue eating the food we had just got and made sure we were taken care of in some way instead of kicking us out and making us pay for food and drinks we didn t even get to enjoy. If I could give 0 stars I would. To the owner, I hope in the future you choose to try & personally give better customer service and do better business. I Will never go here again.

Smallish menu, but everything seems to be very well done. The jalapeno poppers were very tasty, just the right amount of heat. The Bloody Mary was epic. Most places seem to hold back on the liquor & Tabasco. Not here. Well done! Our tacos were overstuffed with tender, spicy pork and chicken. The young woman who helped us, Lauren, asked for our patience because she was new. You d never know it. She was spot on in every aspect. Mothers Day, 2021. Having a son with autism and going to a new place has always given me a little bit of anxiety because I dont know how hell react. Very disappointing experience. We visited at 6:00 on a Saturday night and the place was dead. We had been here a couple of years ago and the place was very lively...not any longer. We ordered french fries as an appetizer and they were served at room temperature. The menu is now primarily pizza and flatbread, not roadhouse food as the name suggests. We were coming back from church and were wanting to try something off the beaten path. After grabbing gas, we figured we would pop into this place. Not knowing what to expect, we decided to give it a go. We noticed hardly any cars in the parking lot. We were not sure they were open or not. We walk in and this place is more bar than grill. There is only one young girl working the place. She hands up a drink menu and a food menu. The drink menu is larger than the food menu. If you are looking for normal dinner fair, this is not the place for you. The menu is very limited and has a burger, pizza and nachos on it. We opted for some Jalapeño poppers to start off with. The bacon was a tad bit overcooked. The Jalapeños were small. I was a bit disappointed as I thought they would be much bigger. I was not really hungry, so we opted to share their 1/2 pound burger. I am not sure when they weighed this thing but it might have been 1/2 pound before they cooked it. I have had 1/2 burgers that were way larger than this. The bun was homemade which was a nice touch. They overcooked the meat, which always annoys me. I know it depends on the restaurant. Some restaurants will usually cook them medium to medium well. The meat had almost no seasoning on it. It had a good chew to it, but again was a little lacking. Their fries were crinkle cut fries with their spicy ketchup. It was ok. I was impressed that there was just one girl running the place. She was on top of it. Given, there was only a handful of people in the place. The food was descent. I was hoping for more, but overall not a bad burger. The burger could have had a little more seasoning and not overcooked. The Jalapeño poppers could have be a tad bit larger. If you are expecting cheap bar food, this place is not it. The burger was $15 and the poppers were $9. Overall a good stop.

I have been here many times. Sometimes busy, sometimes not so busy. It is actually a really nice place to hang out for a minute or for an hour or two. There are a couple of pool tables, and a couple of dartboards. They also have several TVs hanging around the place if you want to keep up on current sports action. They have standard bar food on their menu, including a really good cheese burger. I eat gluten-free, so I always get the burger with no bun. You cant hide bad meat when theres no bun, and Ive always been very happy with my burgers there. My wife says the pizza is awesome! The staff is generally very friendly and very attentive, and honestly I dont remember the names of my servers but theyve all been great. Theres an outdoor seating area with an outdoor stage for live music, which is really cool. Its just a fun place to hang out. Nobody gets in your business, but I see a lot of groups of friends meeting up there. I think its a good place for locals, and a good place for non-locals. And they have pretty decent happy hour specials. Its worth your time to stop and hang out for a bit.

This is a BAR not a grill. Burgers are only available from Thursday- Saturday. They do not have wings at all. There s 1 pool table and 1 Shuffleboard table. We went on a Tuesday with a family of 4 . 2 adults and 2 kids agars 5 & 9 and my husbands Coworker that was visiting from out of town. He kept raving about this bar and grill. I told my husband that is not a family friendly. I told the mom of the kids that place is just a bar but we had to go to please the bosses son- Coworker. Anyway, the only thing they had was pizza and fries that were family friendly. I was so embarrassed. The kids wanted burgers they were too small to play any of the games. But that s where we had to meet for dinner. I asked my husband to take us back home. We asked the mom if she d like a ride back to their hotel. She agreed and we picked up burgers for us and the kids on the way back home and their hotel. I apologized and she understood the situation we were in. None of us drink. My husband, me or the Mom. That s why I say this is not a grill.

Went for Burgers and a car show broke out... Surprised to find a car show n shine as our car group had decided to just go for lunch. Fantastic Brisket sandwich and super friendly staff. Awesome day to be in Texas!

New menu is very disappointing. No more chicken quesadillas. No more patty melts. Fried raviolis is just a new shape & name for cheese sticks. Overcooked. Flatbread isn t flat at all. Rather thick puffy dough like a hand tossed pizza. Used to love eating there. Not anymore. :(

Great place to kick back have a beer, some bar food, watch the band and people. Play some pool while you are there. Staff is attentive and friendly. Lauren and Corey the main bartenders and on it and keep the drink cold!
