Veal Parmesan--veal was tough, and the accompanying spaghetti with marinara sauce very skimpy & barely warm, not good at all !! Wifes manicotti--very good (only good entree we had). Garlic bread was a total joke--6 very small and hard garlic toasts, VERY DISAPPOINTING, and they actually charge $8.00 for them (not complimentary like many other Italian restaurants). Service was good, but very loud atmosphere, terrible acoustics. Will absolutely NOT return based on our Total Experience, much better Italian Restaurants are definitely available in in Fort Worth.

This cute place reminds me of Italian restaurants back where I am from in NY. Simple and delicious. Loved the chicken cattatiore entree and meatball appetizer. Chicken pulled apart. This sauce was very flavorful- red sauce with peppers. So yummy. I also loved the simplicity of the salad and dressing. The *only* thing I didnt love is the small piece of bread that came with the salad. I wish it were fresh bread. But when is bread bad, right? Thanks for a delicious authentic Italian meal

Taja was great very responsive and great with the menu suggestions. The garlic bread wasn t that good. Really tasted like bread with Parmesan on top, and the fact that we are charged $8 for it needs to be evaluated by management. Honestly the food wasn t just amazing, but it was ok. Nothing to rant and rave about would I go again maybe but it needs some seasoning. The salad was very basic, but I love that it comes with every entree.

We had the pleasure of dining at a charming family-owned Italian restaurant, which turned out to be a delightful experience. From the moment we stepped in, the service was exceptional. The staff were not only attentive but also exuded a warmth that made us feel like part of their family. The culinary highlight of our evening was, without a doubt, the Shrimp Diablo. Each bite was a perfect blend of spices and flavors that tantalized the taste buds. Following this was the Salmon Fettuccine, a dish that masterfully balanced the richness of the salmon with the lightness of the pasta. What struck me the most was the pricing. Despite the high quality of the food, everything was very fairly priced, making it an excellent value for money. Lastly, the atmosphere of the restaurant deserves a special mention. It was intimate and welcoming, with a décor that made us feel cozy and relaxed. The soft lighting and gentle background music added to the overall ambiance, making our dining experience truly memorable. This family-owned Italian restaurant is a hidden gem that offers amazing food, superb service, and a wonderful atmosphere, all at a very fair price. Its a place I would happily recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Italian dining experience.

Lasagna was the worst Ive ever eaten and the most expensive by a couple dollars! It was extremely bland and the portion, had it tasted good, was too small. I added salt and pepper to no avail. The salad was mediocre. Bread was more like a small biscuit. Our server, Sydney, was very attentive and a sweetheart; the only plus of the night. It was my first and last visit

First smell walking in the door was bathroom cleaner. Not constant but noticeable. Salad was a good mix of greens. I had the tortellini rossi - decent but uneventful. Good portion but probably not $18 worth. Wife had the chicken parm - way over cooked and rubbery, accompanied by a small side of spaghetti with an even smaller portion of sauce. Bread was fresh but very little served. On a positive note, the place did seem clean, the music was just right, real candles and cloth napkins were a nice touch. Had higher hopes but we won t be returning because the food was overpriced and underwhelming.

Finally got to try Aventinos & I m sad it took me so long to come. I m still thinking about how delicious the food was from last night. The beef carpaccio was one of the best we ve had. Salad looks simple but was also so good! The cracked black pepper on the salad was a really nice touch. the pasta dishes were awesome. Everything tasted high quality. Hubs and I really liked the chicken on the fettuccine. It had a little crisp to it and was full of flavor. Can t wait to come back and try some of the other dishes. If you haven t gone here, you re definitely missing out!

Can I give this wonderful family owned restaurant 10 stars. It was a wonderful amazing experience. The service, Roy was great. The pacing of the meal was on par. We did not feel hurried or rushed and were able to enjoy every bite of each course. Erica, the owner was amazing from helping us with our wine selection to sharing their wonderful family story. The generational family recipes cooked by their son were soooo good. The focaccia bread appetizer, the entrees were cooked to perfection. I am often hesitant to go to Italian because as a diabetic I have to watch my carbs. They had an excellent selection of entrees that did not include pasta or offered it on the side. Don t get me wrong I love me some pasta but I choose bread instead. Run don t walk to have some of the best Italian in a restaurant filled with ambiance, relaxing atmosphere and good people.

FYI this is a tiny place, maybe 7 tables. Also, it is only wine and beer, with not very good selections. We got the focaccia mozzarella as an appetizer which was good. I got the ziti pesto, I would pass on this bland disappointment. My son got the eggplant parmesan and he ate the whole thing. My daughter got the manicotti and didnt eat much. Mind you, my kids are adults and arent picky eaters. Plus, our bill was over $100 with tip and I was the only one that drank 2 glasses of $9 dollar wine! Overall, I wont go back and dont suggest it.

We love this place. I hate reviewing places I love, because then other people want to go there, and it makes it harder for me to get a table, but the people who own this place are fantastic, and the chef is great. If something in your order (dine in or to go) isnt right, then please tell them... theyll make it right. Like everywhere else right now, theyre understaffed, but Id still recommend it. In general their food is great for the price, and their carpaccio is the best in North Texas. They have some desserts that go great with wine, but the cold ones (that dont travel well) are the best.

Looking for Italian outside of the mould of national chain cookie cutter Italian? Aventino s! Don t let the strip mall storefront fool you. It s the kitchen and service that count! Whether a dine-in experience, or CoVid drive up, their mains and specialities are fresh, artful and filling. Their seafood dishes are my favorites - try the Shrimp Mary Frances; lightly breaded shrimp on a bed of pasta with a lemon reduction throughout, or any one of there cheese-filled ravioli dishes. You can t go wrong with the standard pasta offerings but why waste the opportunity for some extraordinary set before you? Good wine selection and friendly knowledgeable staff. If you can t dine in, go on their website and order out. Describe your car during the ordering process and your food appears soon after you pull up delivered with a greeting and a smile. They promise to be looking for you!

We were in the area and decided to visit this place based upon other google reviews. Im sorry to say that it missed the mark. The food was ok...not as good it needs to be at this price point. Also, we fell off the radar with our server after we ordered dessert. 20 minutes later, we flagged down the manager for our check, then our server came back and tried to resell us the cheesecake that we had already ordered from her! Overall-The spinach cheese soup was good, the salad was fresh and had good dressing, the garlic bread was good. However, I can get good soup and salad at Olive Garden. I will pass on this place next time.

Right on! Had a business dinner here and really enjoyed the quiet, casual atmosphere. Yes the prices are not cheap, but they are not running on volume here, so I appreciate them charging whatever it takes to stay in business. The focaccia appetizer was brilliant with ruby red fresh tomatoes, a drizzle of pesto and slabs of creamy mozzarella nestled gently on a plate and accented by crispy, biscuit-like bread that had actual flavor. The tortellini in a creamy white sauce was just as expected, right down to the green peas. My veal saltimboca looked like the picture in an old traditional cookbook. Everything tasted great. Service was impeccable. We were very pleased. I would definitely return any time Notes: Yes, Aventinos is in a strip mall but it is convenient and has easy parking rt out front. No full bar. Limited beer and wine only.

Ohhhh my gosh. This place is my new favorite restaurant! But like... for real. I seriously couldn t wait to leave the restaurant to write my review! Lol. My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary and it could not have been more perfect. Cozy, refined, and romantic. We started with the garlic bread and house salads. 10/10. Order these. Seriously so delicious. I ordered the Tortellini Aventino for dinner and I would order it again for dessert if I could. BUT it was a lot of food. My husband ordered the lasagna and it basically melted in his mouth. The literal words that came out of his mouth were this is phenomenal . They were short staffed but you couldn t tell with the service we were given. They have an extremely nice group of people working there. I will tell the world about them.

Love this longtime Fort Worth Italian restaurant. Its been closed - reopened - closed again and NOW ..crossing my fingers opened for good! (Its probably been reopened for 7 to 10 years now.. lol) They have the best cannelloni and tortellini in town..hands down. Like - I love it. Always perfectly prepared as youd expect it to be at an authentic Italian restaurant. Much less expensive and better than some of the dress code/high dollar establishments. They provide house bread - free of charge or you can order garlic bread - 5 pieces for $8. Salads come with entrees. Todays salad was super fresh & nicely presented. They often offer buy a lasagna get a lasagna free is you sign up to receive their emails.

I been there twice w my bf, we both have been pleasantly surprised both times, what i really appreciated is that dishes do NOT taste generic or like any other italian restaurants. U can tell they care about taste n quality. I called prior to my visit, n was told i dont need reservation but that it was better since its a small place. They were very nice over the phone n nice in person. Deff will go back.

We tried Aventinos for my wifes birthday because or excellent reputation. We ordered meatballs as an appetizer and they were thoroughly unimpressive though a generous portion. They seemed to have been prepared wholly without any art or seasoning. When the waitress saw that we were not eating the meatballs she asked what we thought and we said that they were not very good. Her response, rather than suggesting a remedy, was that she likes them. We did not press the issue and moved on to or entrees. My wife ordered salmon Florentine and I ordered the chicken Cacciatore. Her salmon was overcooked and dry. My Chicken was decent but again nothing worth the cost of admission. I would not even rank Aventinos in the top ten of Italian restaurants in Fort Worth. It is easily beaten out by restaurants that are much more economical as well as others in its own price range. The atmosphere was nice, but the experience was quite disappointing overall.

Samantha is such a wonderful waitress and has incredible taste in food and wine. I always let her choose my dish for me and she blows me away everytime. The food is delicious and fresh and they have an amazing wine menu. The aesthetic is very intimate, with a tea candle and fresh flowers I absolutely love this restaurant and I would definitely recommend it for date night or a night out with close friends or family!

I went to Aventino s with a longtime friend for my birthday. There were quite a number of available tables. We were asked to be seated on a bench & we would be seated at a table shortly. It was shortly after 8:00 in the evening. We waited on this hard bench for TEN MINUTES and never got seated at a table! We figured if we couldn t even get seated at a table in a ten minute timeframe and many tables were available, our chances of two hungry ladies getting dinner that night before closing FOR MY BIRTHDAY were slim to none! We left and went down the street and had a wonderful dinner at Campisi s where, at a busy restaurant, we got seated immediately & had great service, cocktails, food & dessert! I ve eaten at Aventino s before, but do not recall it being where we were completely ignored before even getting seated! I was so disappointed, but glad we had great options close by!

Overpriced. The portions are very small. Quite frankly I didnt find the food to be that great, especially for what we paid for it. Chicken was overcooked. I have had much better Italian food at much more reasonable prices elsewhere. I paid $8 for less than half a glass of cheap wine- I looked up the cost of the bottle when I got home. Not impressed.

normally eat here and while the food is good. Tonight we went in and ask for a table of 7. The owner told us 15 minutes. We proceeded to wait in the car since there is no where to wait and we had 3 children with us. I went back in after 15 minutes and noticed 6 tables open so I politely if it was possible to put some tables together. The hostess was answering me when out of nowhere the owner was extremely rude.... she said to me like I was some kind of idiot mam that is not how we choose to run our business. I am sure I looked very shocked because I was and said mam I was just simply asking if it was possible to put some tables together a simple no would have done. She proceeded to be extremely rude until I finally told her that there was no need to talk to me that way like she was above me and like I was some sort of idiot. Now I will say we eat there quit often just my husband and I. However we had family in town and decided to take them to a place we normally enjoy. However after tonight we will not be returning and I will be sharing how the owner treats loyal customers when they try to bring those out of town family to a restaurant we have been coming to for awhile....they will no longer get our money......the husband has always greeted us but the wife always acts snobby however tonight she it was aimed at my family.....bad service especially in today s world and as many restaurant are in the area

This place is great. Family owned, old school great service, and very good food. I ate the cheese and spinach soup, ravioli w/ mushrooms and artichoke hearts, and tiramisu. The soup was very good, not the best but I enjoyed it. The salad was small but it was made with very fresh greens and a light, fragrant vinaigrette. The ravioli was terrific... I ate the whole thing. The tiramisu was basically the best thing ever. For the cost, I would ve expected nothing more from the food, it was absolutely terrific. That said, it was the service that really stood out- a friendly and articulate host/server greeted me, explained the specials, and took my drink order, yet she wasn t my server, she just took initiative and utilized teamwork (something rare these days). My server brought more of the same and maintained that standard, clearing plates when necessary and checking in with appropriate intervals. I expressed my gratitude, and within a few minutes Erica, one of the husband-wife team owners, came to me to thank me. We had a short and lovely conversation about the history (her parents originally opened the restaurant some decades past) and our opinions on the state of the restaurant industry today. Overall a great experience, I ll definitely be back.

This restaurant offers the closest to genuine northern Italian cuisine that Ive found in Texas and the deep South. Its menu is simple but not limited with a solid variety of Italian restaurant staples with subtle innovations from the owners. The atmosphere is borderline chic with comfortable seating in an intimate venue. Highly recommended.
